DANGEROUS A FLEXIBUS ALMOST HIT ME !!! a Flexibus going North on I95 Express lane almost hit me, on Monday 6/10 at 9 45 AM ( tag ending in 30). The bus was so close by the Golden Glades Overpass that I could not see his lights, and since the overpass is only one lane, I could not change lanes. In addition. once i moved over when a second lane was available, the bus drove over the next lane, which almost cause me to hit the cars that were not on the Express lane. I called the company to complain, they said they will call me back, but noone did. I am sure this behavior can be seen on Xpress way cameras. I want to make everyone aware in case this person causes an accident in the future. read more

On 10/8/2024, I booked a ride from Miami to Tampa, they canceled the ride and didn't give me an explanation nor my money back. I thought they were going to refund me because they canceled. I then booked another ride with them for later that day. They were delayed 115 minutes. I waited at the same spot, their new pick up time was now 11:55pm... I waited until 12:15am, they didn't show up nor did they update us on their new time. I left, the next day I asked them for a refund, they declined the refund stating other people waited, so I should have waited until they felt like showing up. Until now (10/11/24); they kept my money for two tickets for $89.00, its a SCAM!!!! they don't even have a phone number you can call. read more

I've been traveling for months at a time now, so when I can budget travel, I do. I wanted to avoid renting a car to go to key west, and saw that greyhound and Flix offer bus service. For less than $20 bucks, I took the four hour jaunt from Fort Lauderdale to Key West and most of it is a pretty drive. The bus driver was nice and we didn't make all the stops on the route. The bus was not full and no one enforced seat assignments (there were no labels anyway to tell which seat was which). The bus was white with a small sticker that says Flix, so it seemed like they might contract the buses out or something. They weren't really branded and there were no outlets or WiFi as advertised. The bus was extremely hard to find. If I hadn't read reviews saying this, I probably would have been late and missed it. If you download the Flix app, it has pretty detailed directions. It's basically past the train station and deep into the park and ride. There's no signage on the bus to tell you what route it is, so ask the driver. Check flights before you book- sometimes you can find stuff to KW very affordable and save some transit time, but you won't beat the bus option in terms of pricing. read more

On April 17, 2023, I took FlixBus from Gainesville Florida to Ft. Lauderdale. The bus I was on was extremely dirty, the bathroom was gross, the Wi-Fi was spotty and I was not able to connect, my window was broken and was not able to closed which caused a loud rattling the entire trip. There was assigned seating in the bus but very few followed instruction and sat everywhere. This caused several arguments during pick-up points. FlixBus should adhere to the seats you purchased on your tickets. The bus is basically a Greyhound bus rebranded as FlixBus. The colors on the outside make it appear new and the commercials are well done. However, in reality, the bus I was in was very old and simply rebranded. Discovered this relatively new bus service online. FlixBus has apparently been popular in Europe for years. West Coast routes have been offered for at least two years. FlixBus has daily $15 fares from FGCU in Fort Myers to Orlando International Airport or 4953 International Drive (Premium Outlets). Travel time is much shorter than Greyhound, which requires multiple transfers. These FlixBus locations appear to be in relatively safe areas. Unfortunately, discount bus travel is often oversold. I recommend paying extra for seat reservations , especially if you have company and you prefer to sit together. read more

One of their buses tailgated me on the overseas highway (single lane traffic with cars directly in front of me), then passed me on the right where there was no lane. I called customer service. They told me they could not pass my complaint along. They told me I had to register my complaint on their website. The website requires a ticket number which of course I don't have since I'm not a passenger. This is a predatory company it seems. Law enforcement, DOT, or an investigative reporter needs to take this company to task! read more

I will never book on Flixbus again --- I sent my mom to Orlando after her brother passed away. On her way back home she was dropped off that the train station and the driver watched my mom stumble all over a concrete floor and didn't even bother to help her!! She had a sprained wrist, sprained elbow a nasty scratch and a semi concussion. The driver all he did was pick up her suitcases placed them on the bench and told her she can now call her child (me) and that "Maybe tomorrow you will have a bruise on your face" got back on the bus and kept driving to the next destination. Did not bother to call 911 or even their supervisor to see what can be done. Left her on the concrete. We've taken many buses to Orlando but this one right here WE WILL NEVER USE!!! read more

The worst customer service i have ever in my life encountered. My daughter has been stuck in a bus for more than 12 hours, in the middle of nowhere because the bus popped a tire and they cant seem to have a back up plan in place to handle this task in a timely matter. I traveled from Orlando to Miami, the bus has been without air for approximately 3 hours, according to the driver it will restart and it will only work for 10 or 15 more minutes, which is why it decides not to reach the final stop in Downtown Miami... it does not have Your explanation made sense since we spent most of the trip without AC, those 20 minutes from the airport to Downtown without air conditioning would not make any difference to us passengers, on the contrary, they make us spend additional money to reach our final destination... lousy service . read more

Horrible bus service. DO NOT RIDE IF YOU VALUE YOUR SAFETY! NEVER PUT A LOVED ONE ON A FLIX BUS. We heard a very loud "bang" and learned the bus blew a tire in Naples, Florida. Bus trip was delayed by 1 hour to repair this. Not even 2 hours later, the bus broke down AGAIN, off the side of the freeway outside of Sarasota, FL. This time a fan belt broke. A passenger on the bus, got ahold of the belt and showed passengers how frayed the belt was. He said it was well past the time it should have been replaced. Because the bus was stopped, the air conditioning was not working, and it became unbearably hot. Family members had to drive 1.5 hours to rescue me. I filed a BBB complaint, and Flix bus refused to refund my money, stating I had to provide proof of payment for an alternative ride, which I wouldn't have. When my family arrived at the stranded bus off the freeway, the bus driver refused to get my luggage from underneath the buss. I had to crawl underneath the bus to the other side, to retrieve my bag. Other passengers offered to help, when the bus driver refused. This could have been much worse. The mechanical failure could have resulted in a serious accident on the freeway, so I consider myself lucky. To not provide a refund, is outrageous. FLIX should also have reimbursed my family for gas and mileage incurred, to rescue me outside of Sarasota. THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! The only reason why I gave Flixbus one star and not less is because is not an option. We booked a ticket from Ocala FL to Miami FL and the pick up location according to the ticket issued shows the RV parking for Cracker Barrel. However the pick location is across the street at Quick Mart Gas station. Needless to say we missed the bus. Even worse Customer Service is no help and they are so incompetent they insist they ticket shows correct location. read more

This one star is very generous! I travel to Orlando quite often so I decided to give this bus a try. The fare is pretty cheap and now I see why; I've ridden this bus three times and it's been an hour late every time, I'm not exaggerating! The last time I rode the bus, on top of being an hour late, the bus driver had the heat on high. Everyone on the bus was sweaty and there was much complaining from everyone the whole ride. This company obviously doesn't hold there drivers accountable, because it was three different drivers every time. This company doesn't believe in punctuality and that's very unprofessional. Being 10-15 min late is one thing, but a whole hour is just unacceptable. I pay for my bus fare with the promise of arriving at a certain time. Fix it. read more

I will never even think to book with FlixBus again. As a traveling college student on break, me and my group booked tickets through the app to take us from the airport in Fort Lauderdale to Tampa. On arrival of the bus the driver did not permit us on the bus. He did not look at our tickets, allow us to check our assigned seats, slammed the door in our faces and drove away with no help claiming it's overbooked. We paid early for tickets and are now stranded. This is a danger to all customers and should never ever have happened. The driver should have allowed us to get on the bus or call the company. After arriving two hours early to the Miami International Airport terminal My mentally challenged adult brother was left upset, agitated and in tears over a mistake on the reservation I made for him, (my computer autofill changed his name for mine on the reservation), which I realized too late . He had the confirmation and seat number on hand. I was on the phone with someone from the company, hearing the driver yelling at him on the background, TICKET, TICKET!!!! I was told to send him the ticket information electronically fast because the bus was leaving soon. Needless to say, the man made no attempt to clear the misunderstanding while on the phone, even after I pleaded with him, stating my brother's obvious disability. All I think to do was call the company's customer service. I got thru the second time (by then I was in tears as well) since I was disconnected the first time while on hold after being tossed from extension to extension for few minutes. It was about 5 -10 minutes after the bus left him that I was told that there's nothing they could do. I summitted the automatic review email detailing this incident and haven't head from the company yet. A little humanity is all we hoped for, and very sadly, we didn't get. read more

I could not be more disappointed with FlixBus. I am a 21 year old and have never been on a public bus before, especially not alone. I went through the FlixBus app to book my trip and everything seemed to go very smoothly. Super easy booking process, easy to understand, clear directions. I get to my bus stop 30 minutes early and am constantly checking the app to see how far my bus is. My bus was supposed to depart at 8am and I spot a bus at 7:45am that had FlixBus on the side of it, but it was another bus that said "supports FlixBus." Anyway, seeing the name of the company I booked, I go to the bus driver to ask if this is the bus I am supposed to get on. There are other people standing outside the bus that hadn't gotten on but were speaking with the bus driver. I show the bus driver my ticket ask if this is the bus I had been waiting for. He quickly looks and says "no." So, I believe the bus driver, assuming he knows more about busses than I do. He then comes back to the other people standing there and I and gives each of us a card with a number to call it our busses never show up. He then drives away. I check my app again to see if my bus is coming soon and it shows the bus driving away. I was supposed to get on the bus. So now I am standing at the bus stop all alone in an area that I do not know well at all. I start to freak out so I call the customer service number to explain what had happened. The customer service rep verified what I thought, that was the correct bus that I should have been on. He says that there is nothing they can do because other people got on the bus. I explained that the bus driver told me not to and that I would at least like a refund. He said there is nothing he can do and hung up. Anyway, I will never recommend FlixBus to anyone looking for public transportation. read more
