#flixbus Your bus driver apparently fell asleep but crashed on the A61 hwy on June 24, 2024 at approximately 130a from Lyon to Paris, as me and my daughter were coming back from the Coldplay concert. We (all passengers) were left stranded on the side of the road for nearly 2 1/2 hrs until another bus came to drive us 10m to then switch to get on another bus to get back to Paris at 9a. We missed our flight and then needed to puchase new tickets to get to our next destination. I have sent 3 emails to your online customer (lack of) support section on your website and no one has bothered to follow up. I called in and a representative said you have a high volume of calls. Not sure what is more important than looking to resolve what could have been a quite deadly experience for the 60-70 passengers on board. I am upset at the lack of customer support and service. I had to give this a 1 star but 0 stars was not an option.

Do not use them especially here in the u.s. I had booked a trip from Tampa to ft lauderdale for 7:40 am I went to to the burger King next door and stayed til 7:20 I walked over to the designated area which is 1401 N Marion St under the 275 bridge I was there 7:24 and waited and waited and waited til 7:40 but this bud never even showed up!!!!!!! I waited a little longer hoping it woul show up late but it never did so I went and called customer service and was told the bus showed up at 7:33 as I said I was there 7:24 the bus was supposed to leave 7:40 the lady says it was there 7:33 I was freakin there!!!!!!! Obviously the bus shower up super early earlier than 7:33 or they were straight up lying through their teeth! I was issued a voucher for the amount I paid 44 and had to rebook for a later bus fir 62 I asked if they could pay the difference and she says no there's nothing more she can do so I'm not the type to sit there and argue I'm just giving them the horrible review that they deserve!!!! I'll just stick with greyhound from now on at least you don't have to wait on the side of the road under a bridge in a bad area waiting for a bus that either comes too early or doesn't even come at all and you'll also have a nice air conditioning building and someone you can actually talk to in person.... I'll never ride flixbus again!!!!!!!
Wanting to do a day trip to Geneva, Switzerland from Annecy, France, I found Flixbus and purchased my round trip ticket on their website for 17.97 euro. Leaving Annecy at 11:05 am arriving in Geneva at 11:55. It was about 10 minutes late leaving and on a bus that didn't say Flixbus but there were people to ask if I was on the right bus. You have to show identification like passport or drivers license since we are crossing the border. The Flixbus returning to Annecy from the Geneva bus station at 6:25 to 7:20 was on time and the same driver. This was a low cost to visit another city 50 minutes away. read more
Initially I would have never planned to take a bus from Paris to London; however, just a few days before I left I was notified my trip was Eurostar was cancelled due to a transit strike. I scrambled to figure out what to do because my flight was going to be from Heathrow Airport and I had to get to London. I came across Flix Bus I was alarmed by both the price and the duration of the trip. It was going to be over $800 for three tickets and ten hours. I had no choice because I did not want to pay $2000 for a flight from Paris to London and it was not even direct, they all had layovers! What a nightmare. What I decided to do was leave two days earlier (lose out on the hotel and Paris) but get a much cheaper rate by leaving early on Christmas Day. We arrived pretty early and waited around. We were sure that we were in the right line so when the bus arrived, I went to go ask him and his response was awkward and dismissive. At this point re-joined the line and we were next up and he sees that I have four tickets, but there is only three of us he seemed confused and I'm standing there trying to get his attention and let him know I have two tickets for myself because I wanted space, but he's intentionally ignoring me. Finally we board the bus but I'm already peeved with his attitude-- not to mention there was another woman who I saw him yell at because she was "taking too long to board" Once we reach Lille, France we had to de-board for about an hour. We get a new driver, but he's even worse than the first driver. At this point, we need to show our passport before we board-- I take it we were the sole Americans on the bus. Once he sees we have American passports, the smug attitude comes out. He helped everyone out their luggage aboard but told me he doesn't help men, but I saw him. That's fine; I'm more than capable of doing it myself. I'm upstairs in my seat and he comes by and says to me and nobody else.. "so, you're the American" I had my headphones on, but I slightly heard him. I said what did you say? And he walks away.. I'm irate at this point, we've been on the bus for hours, I'm tired and now I have someone who has a problem that I'm from the US. He returns about ten minutes later and tells me "he needs that seat" I said what are you talking about, it's my seat and I paid for it! He tells me they overbooked and he needs the seat and I said no. He tells me be nice for once on you're life. I do not know this man nor does he know me, how dare he. I go to stand up because now I'm more angry and things could have easily went a different way but they are trying to somewhat calm me down. Now I'm slightly embarrassed because everyone is staring and wondering about the commotion. I have the passenger rushing me and touching my coat to put in the tack above where I don't know exactly want my Moose a knuckles coat. I tell the driver I want a refund and he says I will and he walks away. We make two separate stops at UK customs. He asked me what I paid, I show him proof of what I paid in American Dollars and even showed him the conversion amount in Euros-- he tells me that's too high and wants further proof. I showed him my credit card statement and the invoices which basically itemized each ticket. He strings me along until we finally get to London. Mind you, he refereed to me as "The American Guy" two more times, which I told him how rude and pompous he was. At the end of the trip, he said he would give me only 40 Euros because the guy didn't go the full route, which I didn't accept. I told him I was going to report him and since he wouldn't give me his name-- I just took his photo and the license plate and hopefully that helps. I would never wish unemployment on anyone, but I hope the e-mail I sent to Flix Bus gets him terminated. I will never utilize them again-- either abroad or domestically. Another thing, it's absolutely the most disgusting bus I've ever seen in my life. I entered and when I lifted the seat I saw that there was urine and tissue to the brim and I literally thought it was going to overflow while I was there. FYI--If you're an "American" do not ride this bus abroad! read more
Due a French rail union wildcat Strike (plus indirectly a simultaneous Grmsn railworker strike) our TGV from Paris to London was cancelled... So we scrambled and rebooked with flix bus to get to London as desired ... This is the first time in my life booking and riding any city to city distance over an hour. What an incredibly pleasant experience! I thought the bus was pretty clean, fairly spacious with seats that reclined pretty far... Even with the seat in front of me reclined all the way... When I reclined all the way that was plenty of space. Overhead storage was ridiculously small... That's okay. I think we drove for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes before taking an estimated 15 minute rest stop. The process of customs and boarding the transport for going across to English channel was tedious... But once aboard it was remarkably pleasant. I understand customs takes a certain amount of time and we had the most friendly of staff with each government Although the booking process was a bit sticky, with buying tickets in Europe. The credit card security automatically interrupted our purchases which was frustrating. This is no fault to flix bus. They had an office at the bereny station in Paris where I hoped to raise the question of whether or not we accidentally paid twice? That's because we saw pending charges for two purchases. However, I'm sure it'll shake out just fine even if I have to dispute one duplicate charge. Overall, I was so impressed with the whole process, including the professionalism of our driver. I watched him drive for a bit over the 8 plus hours of our trip, and I thought he was professionally polite and ran a well orchestrated and rehearsed process. Four stars as well deserved as this goes way beyond my expectations and what was received, professional transport that was safe, reasonably efficient and above all else... A flaming bargain read more

" read more
It was my first time using Flixbus ever! Crazy to think that my first time would be overseas. My bus took me from Paris to Brussels in about 4 hours. Since not many people go to Brussels the bus wasn't equipped with a bathroom and no WiFi (like specified on my bus ticket). About halfway we made a pit stop for snacks and to use the restroom. The bus itself was okay. The ride there was fine. The bus driver was pleasant. And they do leave promptly at the designated time. However, finding the place was a mission. I followed the location on my phone, but instead of going onto street level I went on the same level as the bridge. I had to run to make it to my bus on time. There are signs pointing you to the right direction, only if I hadn't followed the map on my phone I wouldn't have had a workout. read more

Cheapest way to travel but good luck. Go to the bathroom when the bus is NOT driving or better yet go before hand. Recommend sitting downstairs, it's a lot less shaky than upstairs. But as said for 17€ from amsterdam to Paris it's worth it :) read more

How the fuck are you still in business? Someone please sue the fuck out of them and put them out of their misery, PLEASE!! Now on to my story......So coming from Amsterdam on the BlaBlaBus, I felt that the bus was just not good enough, boy was I wrong. BlaBlaBus has a working toilet but no WiFi. The Bus Station I was at was filled with Flixbuses, so I'm thinking yea this company got their stuff together right, WRONG!! Going from Brussels to Paris...... we all get on the bus just before we leave, the driver is talking in French. Me, I understand nothing but my fiancee speaks French, yes. But no she is not happy, turns to me and says the toilet on this bus is broken. WTF! Ok, when did he say that? Towards the end, as if it wasn't important. He couldn't tell us this mess 15 minutes before so everyone can run to the restrooms? So ok, the toilet is down but we will stop in 2 hours and we still have the WiFi. It's the only reason I got the tickets for this bus because we needed to work. AGAIN!!!! NO, NO, NO WiFi, keeps going in and out and in and out. At this point, I'm just like I will sleep until we get there, then traffic hits and we are stuck for an HOUR on this piece of shit. No one wants to be on a dead ass bus with nothing to do. To make matters worse, I left my fiancee's purse with my meds in the bag. I keep calling and filling out the fucking forms and I hear nothing. The guy over the phone with customer service spells out his name, which I believe to be fake and his manager's. The manager can't be pulled out of a bs meeting to take an important call, cool I can wait. Then he tells me I can't wait for him either, wtf kind of customer service is this. read more

If I could give flixbus fewer than one star I would. For reasons that were never disclosed, the bus arrived 110 minutes late. The bus itself was dirty and unsanitary. I rode for 7 hours and for the whole ride the toilet was clogged and there was no toilet paper. Even after several stops, it was not fixed. Additionally, I missed my flixbus connection. As a result costumer service told me to buy a train ticket to wherever I needed to go. At that hour, so late in the day, the second class train tickets were sold out so I was forced to buy an 80€ first class ticket--I needed to get to the destination. I am now getting nothing. This is a company that keeps no promises, makes no effort to care for sanitation nor for your health and wellbeing, and a company that is a hassle in every single way. Less than one star from me. read more

I am a solo woman traveler and took an overnight FlixBus from Basel Switzerland to Paris France. It had a 3 hour layover which I didn't think would be a big deal since I planned to just sit in the bus station and charge my phone. WRONG. I had 3 hours in Metz France on the side of a sidewalk, with no stores or restaurants or buildings near me. It was me and 3 men alone in the middle of the night, waiting 3 hours for a bus until 2:30am. To say I was nervous would be a gross understatement. I would never have booked the bus if I had known the waiting area was not at (or near) a proper station. I'm unfamiliar with the area, but it felt extremely unsafe at that time of night. This would have also been a big problem if I had needed to use the restroom, since the only place to go would be the wooded area across the street (which is what the men did.) Solo female travelers should only use this bus during the day, and avoid any routes with long layovers. I could handle the lack of AC on my first bus, and even the stranger pushing against me and talking on the phone all night while I tried to sleep on the second bus, but the safety aspect of the waiting area is the reason I will never take a FlixBus again. read more

Having put a certain budget on my trip, I was happy to stay 4 hours in a cramped bus that did not offer wifi and where the heating was too strong. After being informed that the bus will only be 15 mins late, we had to wait a total of 30 mins instead. The location for the bus stop was not specified for us in front of the Lyon Airport and we were told how lucky we were that they had seen us standing there and decided to come back. We arrived at geneva late and the bus driver tried to make up for how late the bus was by dropping people off at the train station but i had already missed my train and had to pay 40 Francs for another ticket. Next time you should really consider properly making it up to customers after putting a dent in their schedule. read more

Worst experience of my life. It was a frenzy! Don't reserve your seats because no one sits in their assigned seats. We almost hit several vehicles and the driver did hit the left side of the bus on another bus. The bus we took was 20 minutes late then stopped twice for 20 minutes each. We arrived at our destination almost an hour an a half late. I would rather pay extra money to take the train! My best advice is to never take this bus line! Save yourself some headache and take a nicer bus line. read more

THE VERY WORST!! I've been taking buses from the North Orange County area to the Las Vegas area for years - from back when there was the Fun Bus, CoachUSE / Valen line, to the more recent LuxBus, Megabus and finally Flixbus. I have never had as horrible an experience as I did with Flix. I was told about Flix (NOT recommended, just that there was something new in town) that went from the ARTIC station in Anaheim to Las Vegas. My mom lives in Henderson (a bedroom community next to Vegas) so I go there at least once a year. In the most recent years, I've been taking MegaBus and found them to be pretty good, especially for the price. However, looking into Flix, I saw that they listed Henderson as a stop. I was delighted to see that the stop was about 10 min. from my mom's house - if she couldn't pick me up, then a taxi or rideshare wouldn't break the bank. (After all, I was using MegaBus rather than Lux because of the price). The only drawback was that the only time available for arrival to Henderson was 1:05 AM, and departure from Henderson on my trip home would be 5:50 AM. Certainly not the times I would choose, but since they were the only ones listed, I reserved it (after making sure my mom was OK with those odd hours). I was able to purchase the ticket with ease online, printed out the ticket, including a page with a QR code and a map of the general boarding area, as well as the luggage tag. So far so good. However, the day before the departure date, my roommate had found Yelp reviews that said that the bus sometimes cancels with very little notice, and does not refund. I called customer service with my concerns. (Not any questions, just to let them know that I was aware of some bad record of their company). I found th Flix bus outside the normal ARTIC boarding area. Right away, something was odd. The bus driver claimed that he wasn't allowed to touch any of the riders' luggage due to a past lawsuit. While it was weird, I thought "well, there are frivolous lawsuits after all" and let it go. He scanned the QR code and told me to sit anywhere behind the first 6 rows which were reserved. The ride was uneventful (though it did make many stops, and the one rest stop was not announced so I didn't even know that's what it was). Finally, we entered Vegas, dropped people off at Caesar's Palace, and to somewhere in Downtown Vegas. I remained on the bus since my destination was Henderson, NV. The bus driver asked what I was still dong there. I said I was headed to Henderson, at which point, he said "This bus doesn't go to Henderson." WHAT???? He explained that I must have gotten on the wrong bus. I said "but you scanned the code." He said something bizarre like "Oh that just tells me where I'M going, not where YOU'RE going." Huh??? Then, he said the bus I was supposed to be on would have come later. And then in the same conversation, said there was a Henderson bus running in the daytime. I asked "Well, what am I supposed to do now?" "You can get Uber." So, here I was, after midnight, alone, in Downtown Vegas, dragging around a suitcase, feeling like I had a giant target with the words "ROB ME" painted om my back. I asked a Casino if I could use their phone and was refused (my cell was out of service area for some reason). As I had never used Uber, I didn't have the app. I finally got to a spot where I could make calls and download the app (I had very little juice in my phone by then). Luckily, I was able to leave a message on my mom's landline, and then got an Uber ride. With tip, the ride was $30. Not a bad price, but something I would NOT have had to play had I been able to get to my destination. When I got to my mom's I was still pretty upset. I called customer service. They asked for my booking number and in a little bit confirmed that the but I had taken was SUPPOSED to go to Henderson after all!! At best, there was a mistake / misunderstanding. At worst, the bus driver lied, and just decided that one passenger (ME) just wasn't worth the time and gas. So he just dumped me in Downtown. While I had some doubts, I decided to give them a chance and use them for the return trip, but spent my otherwise good visit with my mom worried about 1) would the bus come pick me up and 2) would it take me back to Anaheim or just leave me in L.A. and expect me to find a ride home On the morning of the departure, I called customer service to make sure that the bus would arrive. The rep confirmed that the bus would be there at 5:50 AM. My mom drove me over (the stop was outside of a WalMart) and we got there pretty early. It didn't arrive in time, and so I called them again. They said it would be an HOUR late. So, I waited again. Then, called again when it again failed to arrive. They promised it would be there in 30 min. Then, soon after, I got a TEXT telling me that the bus had been CANCELLED. I reserved a trip home on MEGABUS for later that morning. Got home fine. read more

Like others, the ad and more of their promotion said wifi, power, bathrooms, 90% on time, tracking of where your bus is so you know when it is coming or how late it will be. Ha! They look slick, paid more than Croatia Bus, never again. Ours was an hour late arriving (turns out from Munich via Ljubljana--our departure--to Rovinj, Croatia). Then two hours late to the destination. Tracking did not work but kept saying to try again in a few minutes. Other buses there were late (and their drivers grumpy if you asked anything in the chaos of a poorly planned and carried out bus gathering). Another by an hour as we started to get to know other travelers. No power outlets. Weak wifi and then a limit on use (I was light using, all email and simple web pages) without warning. I can't imagine using them again despite the cool green marketing and cool green buses unless it was the only option. Ah, one thing that worked smoothly?! Getting them my money. From there the high expectations they created fell short. read more

My ticket said "free WiFi and power" non of that was on the bus and our driver was ZERO help. Thankfully there were nice people traveling and helped each other. Or else most of us would of been lost. We have waited for about a month now for Flixbus to make good on their "leaving us stranded" in Reims France. We missed our important meetings in Netherlands, and had to find/buy expensive train tickets which still did not get us where we needed to go. Flixbus enjoyed not 2, but 4 ticket payments from us, as we could not reach our pre-paid connector bus either. Their bus driver pulled up where we were to get on the bus, then "crossed his hands in an X" at us ... someone at the station had to tell us (interpret the hand gestures) that the bus was taken out of service & no replacement was coming. Stranded and robbed by Flixbus - thank you very much. HAVE A BACKUP PLAN, people ... Flixbus cannot be counted on. PS - this was our 2nd attempt to use them. The first trip: the bus driver got LOST & we were driven around in circles at an airport for almost an hour - making an 8 hour trip, 9 hours - with a LOCKED TOILET. read more

I went to my pick up area to wait for this FlixBus Green Bus to pull up. After waiting 20 minutes a white bus pulled up and people starting walking towards it. I noticed I was going to be left alone. I approached the bus and noticed a guy with FlixBus clothes on. He stated that they had to use another bus company to take us to Los Angeles. The bus did not have Wi-Fi or power outlets and it was old, very disappointing. My returning trip was a nightmare I was dropped of by Uber to the pickup spot and then I received a text message that the bus would be Delay 2 hours. The spot was an empty unsecured parking lot that was dirty with homeless people camp out and strange people walking around. It also was the home for Aladdin Bail Bond. I am a senior with a knee sprain and joint effusion who had a knee brace and crutches standing on a corner totally confused and I felt unsafe. I took the bus because I could not drive or fly with my injury. The GPS system does not work because no one could find the bus, several people called customer service and we found out they all read the same script " the bus is on its way". They were in Europe and did not have clue about the bus or my location. A bus arrived 3 hours 20 minutes late it was not a FlixBus they parked a block away from pick up spot and made us walk a block and cross a busy street without cross walks it was not safe. I was the last to make to the bus because and could not walk fast. Please forward to Andre Schwammlein, Jochen Engert and Daniel Krauss to follow up. How would you feel if your mother was stranded in a dark park a lot for 3 hours 20 minutes in another state with her purse, jewelry, cell phone, luggage and not able to physical defend herself? Initially got delayed and customer service said 5-15 mins. Then i got their text saying that the bus got delayed 2hrs. Then it increased to 3hr15. Customer service people were rude. They couldnt answer questions/ concerns correctly or patiently. When the bus came it did not have our bus number or any flixbus logo on it like every other flixbus. No one would have known that's the bus we need to be in. Many people werent informed that that's our bus and spent their time hopping to the bus with our bus number. But the driver of the bus with our bus number says this bus is already out of service and that he did not know how to help us find our correct bus. Customer service people tried to solve problems but ending up stalling our driver. read more
