I was very pleased with Floor and Decor's whole package. Not only will you find higher quality materials for better prices than Home Depot or specialty flooring outlets, but also the service is quite good for the price. Others have commented that their service was slow or even non-existent. Sure, sometimes F&D could have been speedier, but these folks fail to realize that in order to get the best selection and price, some things are not going to be perfect. In my experience, I was always attended to promptly and given solid advice. In fact, Ada, at the design center was able to give expert insight into the benefits of different materials and recommend some great options for my project. One time, I even asked for advice by email and she was able to produce the perfect color scheme for my project. I'd recommend this store and team to anyone in Tucson. read more

This store is huge! There are so many choices, it's a bit overwhelming at first. The prices are the best I've ever seen. After reading other reviews about the customer service and staffing I was happily surprised. I got approached by 4 different employees while shopping to see if I was doing ok. As many of us know remodeling any part of your home can be daunting and overwhelming. I am doing this for the first time and was stressed out. Every time I walked into the store I was treated with patience and everyone was super helpful. I really liked Manny. His customer service was exceptional. Store is clean with LOTS of options. I needed help so bad this morning! I work for flooring company but needed something fast for a quick install that was a time sensitive issue that just landed on my plate recently! Danny was awesome! He helped me load it onto the cart and then also help me out to my vehicle and also called to check to see if they had additional stock in Phoenix if needed! He was great.. Absolutely terrible experience with an order. I placed an order and was told 7-10 days for delivery. I called 5 days after the order was placed to see when it would arrive or if there was any tracking so I could schedule the installers, cabinet delivery and counter tops. I was told that the order had shipped but there was no information yet. I called three days later and asked for an update and was told the order hadn't shipped yet... Spoke to a different person who said it shipped yesterday. When I asked why there was three different answers I was told "I don't know but it shipped" Still no answer on when it will arrive. Here I am two weeks after the order and still no order and no answers! I was told that part of it arrived but they would need 3-4 days to process before they could tell me when I could pick it up. How did only half arrive if it was all coming from one place?! Again no answers except to call back in 3-4 days. I've asked for the manager but they're not there, Pro manager but always busy and doesn't return calls. Shop somewhere else the little extra you pay is well worth it. These delays and no answers have now cost me more than the order itself. read more

Floor & Decor has the worst customer service we have ever experienced. We made an online purchase in the store that a store employee helped us with. We asked for the purchase we made be delivered within two days. Long story short, we received our purchase as a regular purchase. We spoke to manager at the store who said "Sara, district manager" would be giving us a call. We called numerous times and was told this every time. Three weeks later and we still haven't received a call. read more

We were going to go with Lowes, but took a look at Floor & Decor. The prices seemed good for the products, but we needed to find an installer. One of the sales people said they work with installers and there was one on the floor now. We walked over and met Scott from Fiesta Flooring and he seemed eager and knowledgeable. He gave us a quote for tile and laminate we were happy with and assured me he was all about quality installation. It would take 3 days. My son, daughter's boyfriend, Tony, and I were still doing some work in the house when they showed up that first day. They began with the tile and the installer Howard told us not to step on any of the tile. We did not. I was able to catch Tony as he was about to walk in the door from the garage. That evening we did not step on any of the tile while we went about our work. The next morning, there were some issues with the adhesive coming up above the tiles. Howard said something about us walking on the tile and I assured him we did not. Of course he did not believe us, but rest assured we did not! To make this long story short, there were some issues with the laminate and Howard assured me it was because of the low grade laminate we purchased. It took them 5 days to finish and it was less than professional. Gaps between the laminate and the baseboard, small gaps between the boards themselves, door jams cut way too high. Howard came out the following Monday to correct and it was readily apparent he was angry about having to come back out. Ultimately, I told him to just leave. Later, i talked to Scott and he said he would come back out and simply made excuses for why the flooring was as it was and often putting the blame on us. In the end, I told him not to bother to come back out and that I would add this to my long list of life lessons. Lowes did my carpet install and I was very pleased! I have a friend I should've used to do this cheaper and, assuredly, a much more finished install. He was able to point out some shortcomings with the tile work, as well. Never again. read more

Stopped by the store to view selection and get a little design help with three different projects. (kitchen, fireplace and outdoor BBQ) Selection is unsurpassed and the staff are great. Crystal was extremely helpful, patient and had some creative ideas. Fantastic selection at great prices. They had the best laminate for our needs. Aquaguard is so good for sloppy cleaners and renters, and such pretty color pattern we never saw anything close elsewhere. Service was good too. Although they set aside the wrong moulding for us, took us a few phone calls and couple trips to get the right one, but the manager was fantastic. We went with Installations Made Easy, which is an ok middleman. They referred us to installer Bill Nolen who was fantastic, worked very hard, helped us big time with unforeseen floor prep, very flexible to work with. Don't bother if you don't already know what you want and how much you need. Then, even when you know how much you need, double check your receipt. Cost me a hundred miles round trip and a half day to go back and get the roll of vapor barrier that they forgot to calculate in. So, do your own math, do your own design work, then check what they ring up - or you're slam out of luck. Because even when they admit it is their mistake, they won't do anything to compensate you. We were very pleased with the service we received from Donna (designer) in picking out our tile. Then when the contractor we had hired (not through Floor and Decor) was a "no"show" the next day, we called Floor and Decor and asked if they might know of anyone looking for a job that day? The Manager put us in hold then came back and we spoke to a contractor and he came right over, looked at what needed to be done and pulled two of his workers to come do the job! We're on a deadline with timelines in getting our kitchen remodeled and they were able to help us meet that deadline. The job was done very professionally and looks great! Scored a 10! read more

We needed 2500 ft.² of tile for our renovation. We spent months looking for just the right tile that fit our budget and chose an Italian ceramic at Floor & Decor that we really liked. We went in over the weekend, walked the store one more time and then asked for help writing up our order. That took an hour, the nice young man handwrote it out. We asked for it to be a little more formal so we could come in on Monday and just hand over a check and get it ordered. He did type it up, but I had to suggest he put our name on the order. There was a half hour consultation with the manager about whether or not there was enough tile in the store. There was not and she did not recommend to split the order between die lots so she decided to have it all brought in from the port in one order. We were told to just drop in Monday and give the check to one of the designers and all was taken care of. We went in Monday, no designers available. A young woman looked at the order and asked us if we were picking it up right then (six -and a half pallets of tile). That was our first clue. We tried to explain that the order was all taken care of and it was coming from the port is one die lot. And that we had been through all this with the designers and manager. She kept leaving and coming back. 45 minutes later she was standing in the aisle counting individual loose tiles to see if she has 6 1/2 pallets. She insisted that we would have to buy from her store or pay shipping from another, and that she could not order the full lot from the port--that wasn't allowed. There were about a half a dozen more ludicrous parts of our conversation, but I'm running out of space. At the end we left and went to A World of Tile and ordered the $8500 worth of tile there in about 10 minutes. They gave us a better price too. read more

Ada Kennedy was so much help when I was trying to decide what tile would look best for a kitchen backsplash that would go with my counter top. I had purchased several samples and had taken them home and was dissatisfied with the look. Then one day while in the store, I met Ada and she made a suggestion that went so well in my space and with my counter top. She was very helpful, and when I went to the store to purchase the tile, grout, and sealant, she helped gather up all that I needed and actually helped load my card. I had shopped at Floor & Decor in Colorado and had a great experience. That said, we were remodeling our home in Tucson (Oro Valley) to sell. I spent days going from store to store trying to find a relatively inexpensive to modestly priced tile. Hit all the big home improvement stores as well as the boutique stores. They either didn't have the selection or the prices far exceeded what we wanted to pay. I didn't mind making a couple trips to the East side to try Tucson's Floor & Decor. I purchased several tiles for samples. When I decided on the right tile, they did not have enough (I was tiling about 1800 sq ft). An employee got the manager to see if we could find the tile at another store. He was very concerned about the lot number matching (same dye lots) and spent a fair amount of time trying to accommodate. Turns out we couldn't get that enough of that particular tile in the time frame I needed. He helped me find another alternative tile, and although they were low on that one, he quickly made calls to Phx stores to verify lot numbers. He found enough for our job and had them shipped to Tucson. My tile guy was able to pick them up within a week. I see a lot of people comment about lack of help from associates, but I have not had this problem in Colorado or Tucson. I am a fairly patient person and if I see several associates talking, i don't have a problem going up to let them know I need help, so maybe that is part of it. I will always shop Floor & Decor first! read more

Very impressed that the manager called after I posted my review to discuss my experience further and to apologize. He is very aware that their customer service must be as good as their prices. Since I needed more tile for another project, he offered to meet me when I came in. When I visited, and before the manager could even meet with me, his staff was -- in comparison to my past experience - vastly more helpful and friendly. I really believe they are working hard to improve and once I met the manager, I could tell that he's sincere in his concern for customer service and definitely knows about tile. I felt it was fair to do an update because they are obviously committed to improvement and they followed up on my initial review -- many businesses do not. If you go in anytime soon, be aware that they are remodeling the front of the store and it's a bit noisy. (And yes, on this last visit, I bought some more gorgeous tile at a truly amazing price!) read more

Donna and Ada were wonderful! Ada initially helped us out with the flooring. Donna helped us out with the showers and even stayed an hour late than her shift was scheduled. Both of these women were very helpful and gave great insight into design ideas. Donna especially did a great job getting my wife and I on the "same page" as far as how all of our tile would cohesively look with our flooring. My husband and I came into this store when needing to kill time before a doctors appointment. We knew we wanted to tile our house, and just wanted to look at prices to help estimate when we could do this project. By the time we left, we scheduled an estimate with the installers, and planned on coming back after the appointment to purchase the tile. Through out our experience we have worked with so many great associates. Lexie, Justice, Donna and several others who's name I can not recall. Donna did an amazing job helping us design our bathrooms, the entire team worked tirelessly to make sure we were educated on the product we were purchasing and helped give opinions on grout colors and coordinating pieces. When we were truly done we picked tile for 1700sqft of our home, a backsplash and a beautiful tile combo for our showers and bathtubs. We have been truly grateful for their service and will continue to recommend our friends to this team for their flooring needs. read more

They had granite that I wanted. So, I asked an associate in the store if they installed or could recommend someone to install it. They said they didn't install and if I wanted someone to install it that I should "Google around" for someone to do it. I eventually got someone to do it. Later I went back to return a few things and it took three employees and about 15 minutes for them to figure out how to return things. At that time I also was told that they DID have a service to install granite and flooring etc. What the...? Why did you tell me to Google around if I wanted someone? The employee didn't even know that the business did recommend businesses for installation?? read more
