We worked with Floor and Designs (our main point of contact was Sam) to install LVP flooring in our house. The the work included installing LVP on the main level, the top floor and the stairs (total 1,100 sq ft), while also removing carpet from the floor. In the decision making process, Sam was very helpful in educating us about things to keep in mind for flooring installation and was also flexible later (before the flooring work began) when we decided to change the LVP we wanted to install. After they gave us a reasonable quote compared to multiple other vendors, we hired them for the work. They were professional, started the work on the date they said they would, did the work in an impressive amount of time, and installed the flooring with high quality. We didn't have to stress about anything at all - which was a different experience compared to other house work we've done. And while they swept the floors, my only issue was everything other than the floors was covered in a thick layer of dust when they left. That being said, I my overall experience with the company was incredibly positive and I would use them again (just ask them to wipe everything down afterwards). Sam is incredibly patient. I reach out to him a year ago and never got started. I finally had my project completed. Sam was still ready and willing to come by for another estimate even though I essentially ghosted him a year ago. Sam was very responsive and always available. We purchased a new home and needed to do something about the old, dirty carpet throughout the house. I called Sam and he listened to what I needed and provided me with affordable, but adequate options. When we met with him at his showroom, he had the samples handy and was able to provide estimated delivery dates for the various colors. We bought a house that had a mixture of Bruce gunstock oak hardwood, vinyl, and carpet. Due to health concerns, carpet and old school vinyl aren't good for me to have in the house as they tend to trap dust and foster mold growth. After trying out a couple of flooring companies, we went with Floors and Designs, and can I just tell you how obsessed I am with our new floors? We got gunstock oak on the top floor, with LVP in the laundry room and one of the bathrooms, finished the second floor with gunstock, and got LVP in the basement/first floor. They are all so pretty! Working with Sam was so easy! We met with him at the shop on Friday morning and he was able to give suggestions on what would go well with the existing hardwood, check on stock availability for options we picked to make sure we could have a quick turnaround on the project, and give make suggestions on how to save us a little money. Sam was able to come over the same day to measure, the guys started work on Tuesday, and the job was done by Friday! So it only took a week from start to finish! The reviews are true! Sam is awesome and his team is punctual! I found Sam through Yelp - this is where this website comes in handy - after moving into a home with carpet flooring and suffering terribly from allergies. One day I decided I had enough and I went ahead and started my research into laminate flooring. I had 3 estimates for the work and although Sam was the highest, I decided he would be best because my concern was the quality of the work and Sam had proven to me that it could get done. His team arrived on time - one of the guys wasn't extremely friendly but hey we're in Covid and sometimes folks are grumpy in the morning - but when I tell the room looks 100% better than it did with the carpet, I could breathe easier and it's definitely more airy. So I switched from laminate flooring to actual hardwood flooring because I wanted to invest in my home and make sure that I had something that was long lasting. Sam and his team will be back to finish the remainder of the home. So glad to have him do the work! He's awesome! read more

We needed LVP flooring installed for a rental property in a hurry and I am so happy we chose Sam for the work. We called to inquire on pricing during the July 4th holiday weekend and was able to get the free on-site estimate, pick from available flooring, secure the contract, and schedule the install in one swoop, which work was completed well ahead of time. While all of this sounds great the best part was the work they did. Sam said on certain parts it was unlikely they would be able to just refinish it as I had some pretty large gaps. I am wrapping up a fairly large remodel as a DYI involving my kitchen, dining, and living rooms. I took down three walls including a load bearing wall and had to tie the three rooms together. Kitchen had tile over backer board while the other rooms had existing 2 1/2" white oak. Sam and his crew installed new oak flooring and perfectly pieced the new flooring into the old (see pics). The floors are stunning, and we couldn't be happier with the result. I especially appreciated their patience with me as I had to do all my drywall and painting before they could finish the floors. Sam's response was "no problem, how about you call me when you're ready?" Sam's crew had several stain samples and were patient when we went and got four more before deciding on one they brought.
