This was one of the most concerning salon experiences I've had, and I would strongly advise others to AVOID this place. During my appointment, my nail tech noticed green discoloration under my gel nail and called it "mold." Instead of stopping the service, removing the product, or taking any sanitary precautions, she filed the nail and applied new hard gel directly over it. Covering a potentially infected nail is not only irresponsible, it reflects a serious lack of basic hygiene and safety standards. I went back to address the issue and asked for the product on that nail to be removed. They refused to offer a complimentary removal and told me they would "cover up anything," even if it were an infection. That statement alone should be alarming to anyone considering this salon. They also dismissed the possibility of infection entirely and showed no concern for my nail health. To make matters worse, this wasn't an isolated issue. On multiple previous visits, I told the techs that my nails were lifting. Instead of properly addressing the cause, they repeatedly just added glue over the lifted areas and continued with the service. That kind of shortcut traps moisture and bacteria, and it very likely contributed to the situation I'm now dealing with. A salon that ignores lifting, covers over potential infections, and refuses to take accountability is not maintaining safe or sanitary practices. This goes beyond poor customer service..... it's a health risk. I will not be returning, and I would strongly recommend going somewhere that actually follows proper hygiene standards and prioritizes nail health.

I found this spot on Yelp and I am so glad I decided to stop by. There is paid underground parking garage available, and I was able to walk in without an appointment, which was super convenient. The spa itself is beautifully decorated, very cute, and has a fun, girly vibe that makes the whole experience feel relaxing and special. They were also running a promotion, with a sign right at the entrance offering additional discounts, which we always appreciate. I got a gel manicure called "Delight" for $50 and a signature pedicure with regular polish for $55. Emily did my nails, and she was fantastic. It has been two weeks now, and I am still really happy with how everything has held up. There has been no lifting or cracking at all, and I still absolutely love the color.

The salon is gorgeous, and everyone was nice, but the quality of work wasn't worth the price. The environment and atmosphere was definitely upscale, but the actual service provided was not up to par. I got a gel pedicure, and the work seemed rushed, and my toes were filed uneven. I think I would try it again just because it's very pretty and I like the water and Madeleine cookie, but if the quality wasn't there again, i wouldn't come back. I

ZERO STARS!! Making an appointment with this salon was difficult enough, but the real frustration came afterward. I scheduled an appointment only to find out that they were running behind and could no longer accommodate me. No one proactively communicated the delay or cancellation, despite the fact that I had arranged my schedule around the appointment. Running behind can happen, but failing to notify customers and effectively canceling their appointment at the last minute is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of respect for a client's time. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that others avoid this salon. If they cannot honor scheduled appointments or communicate when there is a problem, there is no guarantee that you will receive the service you booked. There are plenty of businesses that value their customers' time--unfortunately, this is not one of them.

Loved it here! First time coming and it is so pretty and clean here. It's tucked away behind the bier garden, but there's normally lots of parking. The ladies are super sweet and really helped me relax. I came to do my engagement photoshoot nails and she nailed it! Linh was great! Definitely will book again

I've been here 3x with an appointment every time. One star for the receptionist that just sits on her phone and ignores you for 25+ minutes after your appointment started. Doesn't offer water or an update. You can get the same level of service in north county at places that respect your time. read more

This used to be my go-to nail spot, but their recent time management skills and lack of professionalism has me looking elsewhere. I discovered them quite a few months ago around the time they just opened, so getting same-day or even next-day appointments used to be super seamless. In recent months, it appears that they've gotten pretty booked and busy. While this is really great and I'm so glad to to see that they're growing, it's been incredibly frustrating to grab an appointment. My most recent pedicure appointment was rescheduled 5+ times over a two-week period. Many of these instances were due to them moving things around on the schedule last minute or being understaffed and overbooked. Extremely unprofessional. They have cancelled/rescheduled on me with less than a 30 mins notice at least twice. As someone who lives a bit of a distance away and makes an intentional trip out to Encinitas for this salon, I really did not appreciate this. read more

Inside the salon is beautiful. The employees are kind and polite. I went here twice for gel pedicures. The first time, the lady got a little too nipper-happy during prep work and both of my big toes were bleeding on the sides. There's no need to be cutting healthy skin away in the sidewalls like that to the point of actual bleeding, where it leaves a healing mark afterwards. She splashed the foot bathwater on them nonchalantly and it stung so bad when alcohol was used to clean the cuts. I was going to let it go but my nail also got a horizontal crack shortly after the second gel pedicure which has never happened to me before so I would recommend skipping prep work and doing that at home yourself. My nails were perfectly healthy before all of this I didn't say anything bc it was my first time getting a gel pedicure but after some research I have realized my experience is in fact not normal. read more

The salon itself is beautiful, and the staff are usually very friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciate. I truly wanted to love this place because my gel manicures were consistently good for several months and typically lasted about three weeks, which is great. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was disappointing. My nails chipped after only three days, and when I reached out around day five to request a fix, they initially agreed to correct it. The following day, I received a text saying I would need to pay a fee for the correction. I was willing to work with that and simply asked what the fee would be, but I never received a response, making it difficult to move forward with the appointment. Ultimately, I had to cancel due to the lack of communication. When I canceled, I specifically asked for a manager to reach out to me to discuss the situation. Again, there was no response - no text and no call which made me feel like my concern was fully disregarded. I really wish I could fully recommend this salon because the environment and staff are lovely, but the difficulty with communication and lack of follow-through when issues arise was frustrating and disappointing. I hope management can improve responsiveness and customer care moving forward. read more

Wow, wow! I have my go-to spots for a good manicure, but I wanted to try Flora Blanc after seeing it while I was doing errands in Encinitas! I'm Al for good ambience, and boy this place did not disappoint! Very aesthetic, you immediately felt luxury upon entering. I had an appointment but they do take walkins. Everyone there from check in, to the nail techs, are very friendly and tending to their clients. They of course offer you drinks and snacks, as well. Their seats are comfortable, clean, and overall spa - like feeling as it should! It's been two weeks since I've gotten my pedicure and hard gel manicure...and both still feel and show as of I just got them done yesterday! The techs are super attentive and very precise when tending to you and the service. You can tell they care and ensure the results are quality. I can't wait to be back! read more

Called in for a same day appointment, two manicures/pedicures. Whomever i spoke to on the phone was kind, prompt, and professional offering us multiple slots to choose from. Parking was easy there's street options or a pay lot underneath the shopping area where the studio is located. Upon arriving, the studio is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Staff are no nonsense keeping the noise low and music at an appealing but not overbearing volume. Was here for about 2 hours and very happy with both mani pedi sets. The nails turned out flawless and they had so many colors to choose from as well. My first impression of the salon was excellent -- elegant, clean, professional, and attentive. I appreciated the complimentary water, coffee, and snacks, which added a nice touch. Since I was taking a long break from gel, I had been doing regular manicures and pedicures for about three months, coming in weekly for manicures. I also started requesting one of your specialists whose work I really liked, but I sensed that my preference wasn't received well by the team. On October 11, I tried your Deluxe Gel Manicure for the first time. Unfortunately, the experience left me disappointed. The specialist didn't seem pleased to see me -- I noticed an unhappy expression when the host told her I would be her client. Despite always tipping 20% (and sometimes feeling like more is expected), I left feeling unappreciated. Three days later, one of my nails started chipping and lifting. I came back to have it fixed, but the specialist was unfriendly and rushed through the process without acknowledging the issue. Two more nails chipped and lifted by the fifth day. I returned again yesterday and showed the problem to the host, who asked if it was my dominant hand (it is) and said she would speak with the owner. I've never had a gel manicure last only 3-5 days -- they typically last around 10 days for me. I truly thought I had found a beautiful, professional, and welcoming salon, but I now feel disappointed and unvalued, especially after spending $60 on what turned out to be a mediocre gel manicure. read more

Excellent service, cannot recommend this place enough. John did my pedicure and the massage he gave was wonderful. For my manicure, I like my nails on the shorter side and Dani did such a great job! She kept the natural shape and my nails looks awesome. I also got my eyebrows done and Kathy shaped them so well. Also, the vibe of the salon feels like a resort. I'd give this nail salon a 10+ if I could! The staff are amazing and friendly. I've been getting my nails done here for half a year and I'm obsessed. They care about the customers and they pay attention to detail down to the water, coffee, or tea offered with a kind bar to the cell phone holder for while you get your nails done. My acrylic topped with polish lasts me an entire month and could go longer but I choose to switch it out because I don't love long nails. They book up (because they are the best in town) so make an appointment! read more

The cutest studio in all of Encinitas. The vibe is calm and relaxed and beautifully decorated. They always offer you water and a little snack with your service which I love too. I drove an hour and 35 minutes to This location and had the best first experience a nail salon can possibly give. From the stunning modern aesthetic to the comfort and inclusive size of the chairs when getting pampered to the snacks, coffee and FIJI WATER at no additional cost all the way down to the chairs when getting a pedicure that has a charging station while getting your feet done!!! This nail salon is CHEFS KISS!!! Did I forget to mention their attention to detail and how they take their time with each client? I will be driving 3 hours in total to & from every month just to come here and continue to have this amazing experience ! read more

I've been to this nail salon three times now and have had a wonderful experience every time! Most recently, I came to get a new set of gel x nails, which came out beautifully! My gel x sets usually last 5 weeks here, with growth being the issue rather than lifting/chipping/nails falling off. Because of the quality of the application of the nails, I don't mind paying slightly higher prices (this set was $65), but honestly their pricing is typical for salons in SD. The salon is also beautiful and they always give you a complimentary choice of drink and snack, and these little details make the price seem all the more worth it! They have an extensive pedicure menu as well with lots of different pricing options, and I had a great experience when I came for one of those in the past as well! I love that you can easily book online, but they are quite busy so I would account for an extra 15-30 minutes at peak times! read more

It felt like she wanted me to offer to pay more, but I just said it sounds like she doesn't want to do it so I can go elsewhere and she said she would prefer that. I think turning someone away in that way was unprofessional and it made me really uncomfortable that she kept telling me how much work it is. She shouldn't offer a service she isn't willing to follow through with. It was just a very uncomfortable experience.

I hate writing this because I really wanted this salon to meet and exceed my expectations. Unfortunately, it did neither, even after giving it three chances. Aesthetically, the salon is super cute and has a relaxing atmosphere, this was the main reason I was willing to give it another shot after my initial disappointment. However, today's experience confirmed I won't be returning. Long story short, I had an appointment scheduled for me and my daughter at 3:30 PM. At 2 PM, the salon called to inform me they were behind and asked if we could reschedule for 4:30 PM. While not ideal, I agreed. We arrived at 4:20, and at 4:30, the receptionist told us they were running another 20 minutes behind. Frustrated but still patient, we waited. When 20 minutes came and went, and over 30 minutes had passed, I finally asked for an update. The receptionist hesitantly asked a nail technician, who casually replied "soon," with no sense of urgency. I asked if there would even be two technicians available for both my daughter and me, and the receptionist was visibly uncomfortable asking her co workers and just said she didn't know. It became clear that one of us might get started in another 10-15 minutes (45 minutes past our appointment time), but the other likely wouldn't. This lack of coordination mirrors my previous visit, where I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment to be seen. The women doing nails showed no sense of care or obligation, this was disappointing. I would have appreciated and even accepted a glance and gesture of apology, which I did not get. They moved without urgency and seemed unconcerned about keeping us waiting. Sadly, it appears they don't value their customers' time or their business. As a fairly new salon, you would expect them to prioritize running efficiently and courteously. Even my 13-year-old daughter noticed their lack of care, remarking on how indifferent they seemed despite us being polite and patient. The final straw was realizing no genuine effort was being made to uphold the appointment time they agreed to, leaving us disappointed and unwilling to return. read more

My first impression of Flora Blanc Nail Salon was that it had a stunning and beautiful aesthetic, which created high expectations for my visit. However, my experience was unfortunately not as positive as I had hoped due to some issues with customer service from the nail technicians. While the receptionist was delightful and welcoming, my technician and my sister's technician did not seem to engage with us as we anticipated. For instance, my sister's technician unintentionally scraped her skin, and there was no follow-up or acknowledgment of that incident, which would have helped us feel more cared for. In my case, my technician appeared hesitant to perform my pedicure and even suggested switching with my sister's technician, which felt quite unprofessional. The results of my pedicure left me feeling uneven and dissatisfied. I wanted to share my concerns with the receptionist, but I hesitated since the technicians were so close by. I genuinely wish to give this salon another opportunity in the future because I believe it has potential. However, the experience did not justify the drive from South Bay. I hope that this feedback can be taken constructively and lead to improvements in customer service. Good service deserves recognition through tips, and unfortunately, we didn't feel it was warranted this time. Additionally, it would have been appreciated if my technician had ensured I was comfortable. (Unfortunately, I have to put on my own flip-flops because my technician just left them on the chair while she went on her break and didn't return. She was not very pleasant in her messages and provided rough service overall. It was clear that both she and my sister's technician didn't want to be there.) I believe that all staff members should strive to create a positive and welcoming environment, as it makes a significant difference in the customer experience. What happened to Tracy? The conversation among the techs is unprofessional. That technician should have more courtesy and class. Sorry, Flora Blanc Nail. I hope you find better technicians. read more

Flora Blanc is truly exceptional and easily my favorite nail salon in Encinitas. I'm more than willing to travel to come here because the experience is consistently excellent from start to finish. The salon itself feels calm and welcoming, and it actually smells clean and pleasant -- a detail that makes a big difference. What stands out most is the reliability of the quality. I made an appointment for the next day. You will want to do this as they take care of each client to the fullest and an appointment is the best way to get in.
