I went home to my hair being so badly damaged from the bleach treatment from being over processed. My stylist let me walk out of the salon like this. I spent yesterday crying because my hair is ruined. I messaged the stylist this morning and her responses were extremely snobby which is unfortunate because she's a nice person. She did not take accountability for her actions. I've spoken to other stylists and told them what was done and each one of them were shocked that was done to my hair. She did process a full refund after I requested, she offered to fix it but I don't ever want to walk in that salon again. I'm stuck with my hair like this and don't even know what to do besides get it healthy with some products before attempting to have someone touch it. Extremely irresponsible and I'm very upset. Even after my refund because I have to walk around like this.

The price of services is also so affordable compared to salons in Cleveland. I have no doubt that if Kori moved to a big city, she could be making triple what she has charged me for balayage or all over color - but I'm glad she hasn't yet! She also makes sure you walk out looking amazing, whether it's giving you a blowout, straightening or curling your hair at no extra charge. She keeps an Instagram of her work so it's easy to browse through and show her, "I want this" and she knows exactly how to do it vs finding something on Pinterest and hoping for the best. She's also really good about allowing you to schedule via online or text and puts out reminders of when she is going to be out of the salon. Her hours are flexible which is so nice for someone driving in from out of town after work or on weekends. She is willing to recommend products if you ask but never pushes products on customers at checkout like some salons too, which can make for an uncomfortable experience. Overall I would seriously recommend her to anybody and everybody and have sent quite a few friends there. She loves what she does and it really shows!

You may blink, or perhaps rub your eyes in disbelief that a clean and well designed salon even exists in downtown... Toledo. Yep. This place gave me hope. Hopes that Toledo may actually be a place to hang out and not just feel scared to leave your house. You are welcomed upon arrival with a text message stating they'll see you in a matter of minutes, followed by an actual human that greets you and offers you a hot or cold beverage while you wait. I was in tears pretty much before finding Fiber + Strand. Having come from Seattle, WA where I was going to an extensions Goddess, I hadn't even come close to a salon being able to give me half of what I had loved and gotten used to. Janelle, the owner, had given me a quote and was willing to work with my existing (fairly new) extensions that I paid a pretty penny for before I left. She installed a new piece as well. I was in the chair for several hours, but was pleased overall with the attention, the service and her expertise. She wasn't chair hopping either, so you actually have the attention you need. I went to her another time months later for a mini-move up. The last time I was here, Dylan took care of me. Also, thorough, with lots of Q & A , he was able to achieve great results. I very much appreciated his attention to detail (ie. the scalp massage in between touching up my highlights while my extensions were out). If you had ever had braces taken off, then you know that feeling of non being able to stop licking your smooth teeth. That is what I equate his scalp massage too. There are no other words. I noticed a spot of hair by my money piece that was a bit too bright, and before I let it bother me, he added extra toner to make it blend in better. It's now been several weeks of grow out, but my extensions are still in, none of the beads are broken, and it's not too heavy or pulling on my scalp. This is a pricey salon, but you do get what you pay for!

The color was completely off from what I requested and I had to get it corrected. I then followed up to get the highlights touched up 6 weeks later, and she messed up my color again. Also, my second appointment, the stylist was late getting me back and there was no apology for my time wasted. The shampoo experience was also very rough and painful. When I had my first appointment, I did full highlights, which cost around $80.00. The 2nd appointment, we only did a partial, but for whatever reason, it cost more for the partial highlight than the full.

I purchased a $75 gift card for my mom for Mother's Day from this company. I live out of state so I…read morehad to look up salons in the northwest Ohio area. Her experience began with the stylist dying her hair the wrong color. My mom said it was very red and they had to redo the color because it was not what she asked for. My mom said the stylist was "trying" to take care of multiple clients while she was there -which most likely attributed to the hair color error. To make the experience worse they allowed my mom to walk out of the salon with dye all over her face (see pics below). She asked if it could be cleaned off they told her she could "take care of that at home". My dad called me and said my mom came home in tears because of how rude they were to her. I called to talk to the manager and they told me she was out for the day... I suggest the managers take a look at how their employees act while they are off site.
