Told 3rd time (again by owner), the day for refund was past and state law would not allow a refund and I could sue them if I wanted, but no refund would be issued. (This from the owner). 3. Even if that wasn't an issue, the RVIA/RVDA now has it's own training program: RVTI. (This option did not exist until last year.) You are much better off and will save money as they RVTI enforces the curriculum, develops the tests, and maintains records. And you know RVTI is legitimate organization. They are officially endorsed by both RVIA & RVDA and respected by heavy weights in the industry like LazyDays , LaMesa as well as other RV companies. 4. Life may be like a box of chocolates and you never know what you are going to get. But, why risk thousands of dollars and months of your time. Go to the source, save money, and have confidence that your training is from an industry recognized organization. Both my friend and I were laughed out when we told them we were graduates of this school. I took the Sea School online course and was extremely dissatisfied with the experience: The quality…read morewas very poor; they sent me outdated forms (I had to complete the newer version which was a lot of work to get notaries, physician to redo physical, etc.); they did not respond to questions during the course; and they issued a certificate that has "Online" in bold across the top, in addition to the space for location, indicating that the certification is inferior. I tried to contact Cathy Bancroft, COO, to discuss the reason the certification was issued the way it was, but she did not return my call or respond to my email. What makes this experience so frustrating that I am taking the time to write this review is that they charged a lot of money, it took a lot of work to get through the course, and they took no ownership and responsibility when I spoke with them. I tried very hard to communicate with Ms. Bancroft so that we could resolve the accumulation of service issues ami Fortunately, I was able to use other online resources, primarily YouTube videos, to master the material and passed all sections on the first try. Had I relied on what Sea School provided, I would not have been so fortunate. (I feel like I should send their competitor money because their videos got me through the plotting section.) My recommendation is to stay away from Sea School if there are other options available.

A lot of places are now requiring it for domestic vessels as well. I've gotten along without needing the training for the last 2 years, but I plan on applying to international cruise lines so I needed this under my belt. Sea School charges $725 for the 4 required STCW classes and it is a 5 day adventure in the classroom 9-6. Their fee is less than a lot of the other places and they are also convenient if you live on the West Coast of Florida. I was able to sign up at the last minute and start right away. They seem to offer the classes almost weekly. I liked some of the added office support, such as Captain Bob being available to help with the MMC form and even provide the necessary Notary stamp (for free!). I also asked the office staff if they could scan in my certificates and email me a copy so that it would be easier for me to provide proof of completion as an email attachment. They were very helpful in that regard. You as the student need to ask for these things and also ask them to print out the MMC application for you if you don't already have it-- get it notarized while you are there and save yourself the additional hassle and expense of doing it later. Some of the training will take place off site. There is a pool they use to do the survival suit training and there is a fire fighting facility at St. Petersburg College you will be going to for that part of the training. I will say out of all the classes, the work on the fire-fighting field was the most intense. In order to pass, you have to get all the fire fighting gear on in an under 5 minute time limit. This facility has several free standing buildings that are specifically designed to have controlled fires in so you practice with real fire, real hoses, real oxygen tanks, etc. Even knowing it was all a drill, I felt myself panic a bit when I had to crawl into a burning building with 60 pounds of gear on! Mastering my own sense of panic was probably the most valuable thing I learned that day. Put into context, that is extremely valuable if you are charged with helping passengers aboard a vessel in a real life emergency. Keeping your wits about you and keeping a lid on your own freak out factor so you can help others who are in full freak out mode is essential. The fire crew helping us were both real firemen and also instructors at the facility. They were patient, professional and supportive. It took me more than a few tries to get all the gear on under the time limit and they helped me and worked with me until I mastered it. A lot of the classroom material was either going through a binder or watching videos. The instructor for my class was a former Captain, so he had stories to tell if you asked. All in all, it was a good place to take my courses and I would use them again when and if I need additional training.

No one should pay an upwards of $1,000, or any money for that matter, to model. I know that because I have made my own success without paying anything (excluding the mistake of paying for my classes at JC), including being signed to a major agency as a part of their New York, South, and Southeast branches. I have also done a copious number of fashion shows and campaigns with zero help from those at John Casablancas. I started here when I was 16 and now I'm 21. This company has not done a single thing to contribute to my modeling career. They charge you for classes such as "skin care," "makeup application," and a fitness class, which is just a group workout basically. This is where it gets frustrating. When Covid happened in 2020 and John Casblancas did not have ANY classes happening, they still charged me for the classes as if they were occurring per usual. Now, fast forward to five years later, the people at John Casablancas, without even asking my family for a dime, have sold our remaining debt with interest to a credit agency, messing with my family's credit. Do yourself a favor and RUN from this place. There are so many better ways to get started in the modeling industry. I promise you will regret participating in their programs.

I pull over at St Pete College and call Roadside Assistance 'cause I got it! Gigi and D see the sign for The Campus Cafe and trek over to see what they could discover. They came back with a Breakfast Burrito and Lucky Charms cereal! We all tried the Burrito! Gigi decided, "It's awesome!" The declaration was unanimous! The sausage, egg, and cheese is brought together with a tasty salsa and nicely wrapped in a soft flour tortilla! Simply made, it shouts "Delish!" See? That's all I got ... and that's all to be said!

I have participated in the Student Survey of Instructions, but I feel professors don't leave as much impact as the administrative and advising roles. These positions can make or break a student's experience. Within my first year of courses, a very close friend of mine passed away from a tragic car accident. We had planned the semester together and even shared some classes. After he passed, I had a professor bluntly ask me about the details of his death. So far as to ask if he was buried and where. This is completely unethical and out of conduct for a professor. In the summer of 2013, I embarked on a study abroad program with St. Petersburg College. I was blessed to be able to attend on a scholarship. Even with such funds, I cannot say the experience can be justified with how the program was portrayed. I met another student at an informational session, so we traveled to/from together. The course had no experience at all as what was described within the course/program outline. The biggest disappointment was that the professor brought his girlfriend and structured many of the day's activities around her schedule. I turned to Pasco Hernando State College (PHSC) to complete statistics, which I passed with an A. Within my short time there, it was a world of different experiences with their faculty and support staff. The team at PHSC truly strives for their students, such as Lynne Wolf did. I was so compelled by their enthusiasm and support, several times I even wrote thank you letters to people who had such an impact on me during my short time at PHSC. I finally really got a grasp on my coursework when I entered my bachelor's program at SPC. I brought attention to the matter of missing elective credits to my advisor. It was disappointing that my advisor had poorly advised me, and shared she questioned the curriculum as she didn't complete the program personally but had a colleague who did. It was due to taking pre-requisites as my electives in my associates' coursework, we couldn't understand the shortage of credits. I completed my capstone and won in the BSG. I felt the entire demeanor of the course was not motivating but more pressured under the influence of "if you don't pass you take another lap next semester." Never have I received such harsh scores without explanation of grading. Given time to reflect these encounters, I can say there is a lack of compassion and encouragement compared to my short experience with PHSC. I understand SPC may be a larger operation, but perhaps consider the opportunity to have a larger team to help your students rather than leave them to "figure it out." After all, we are the students. My dad was so proud to see my degree when it came in the mail. He was extremely broken-hearted at the printout sent to "take a photo and tag SPC on social media" that was enclosed with it. He felt this was so tasteless and poor representation for all my hard work as well as to the family of the graduating students. He questioned why it didn't have a cover, and how/where I could purchase one, he actually said "degrees are supposed to come in a cover." I keep trying to inquire about this cover to help amend this. But SPC can't see beyond the inquiry, telling me to check back. The printout for social media was in poor taste. Especially when you see the personal care packages PHSC mailed to their graduates. I understand there needs to be a budget in place for such things, but SPC could have done better than a printout for their own social media benefit. Having taken numerous business and marketing courses, I am sure none of the material would ever suggest a tasteless action such as this response such as the enclosed picture to my degree to take a photo to tag and share on social media.

Honestly one of the worst schools for students just getting out of the military. My boyfriend who…read moregoes here was kicked out because he missed 27 hours not only did he get kicked out but they have him no options to help him. He asked for time and help and said he had a lot going on personally. In that week that this happened his grandpa passed away, his car was totaled at no fault of his which restricted him from getting to school, as well as suffering from PTSD from just getting out of the military. Not only did they kick him out but they took his fafsa and they knew he got paid from the VA by going to school and is no longer getting that which made all his problems that much worse. So rather than helping their students they'd rather kick them out for have troubles in their personal life. I hope they change this and Boe I hope you will be a little more understanding for all students.
