We haven't seen such a well maintained course truly ever. Perhaps they recovered alot better from Hurricane Irma better than the East coast of Florida. Not a tree or even a blade of grass out of place. On top of that probably due to another poor forcast by the weather man we had the course to ourselves practically. That was great as we finished in record time. Not that the course was not challenging however plenty of water to get your ball across. The facilities on the course included water and ice as well as beautifully up to date bathrooms and it goes without saying they were clean. Hubby got a great new hat at the Pro Shop that he had been eyeing for awhile. It was well priced and this type of hat you immerse in water to stay cool. All in all one of the best courses we have played ever. Would definitely come back as well as probably look for a second home here.

For the night-out benefitting Habitat for Humanity, the Clubhouse' dining room looked beautiful. Community volunteers staged a great auction which followed dinne, which followed a golf tournament (of course!) . The various neighborhoods inside Shadow Wood had volunteer captains who independently raised donations for Habitat as a ramp-up for this event. Since Shadow Wood has been doing this for a number of years, the 2012 benefit marked the accumulated years' fundraising of $1 Million, generously raised for Habitat by Shadow Wood residents alone. Members and staff were very friendly with each other. Service was efficient, and the banquet food was fine. To complete the meal, a tall parfait was, as the French would say, "Parfait!"

Very pleasant staff, respectful, to the attendees with an effort to remember our names. Owners are as friendly as it gets , we have already been envited to join in with owners at different events. Beautiful grounds with the home owners maintaining attractive landscaping. We lived on Marco Island and Napleas for 20 years , but due to health reasons had to sell and move closer to family, therefore if I was a buyer and looking to buy inb the Naples area , I would definitely look in the Foxfire community. Two players, dressed in white, took their shots at square wickets. This isn't the sport you pulled from a sagging cardboard box when you were a kid. This is chess on the lawn. The fresh cookies were offered in baskets on a buffet table shared by soup tureens. Most Naples golf clubs set out fresh cookies for the golfers in both the dining rooms and the locker rooms. It's an indoor sport to guess how the cookies will be presented at any particular venue. Service was casual and friendly. We had delicious Reubens. I always like to see how "properly dressed" is actually practised. Country Club casual at Audubon doesn't veer from the the usual golf togs for lunch. Another recent phenom is the gradual replacement of chairs and banquettes in dining rooms, both public and private. Audubon has fine examples of the trend, with a gathering of what I affectionately call Fat Ass seats. They've also chosen chairs with wheels to move across the carpet with ease.
