My kids and I love this place. I'm actually scared to share such a good review because we like it quiet and committed to us. Ambiance is great, service is outstanding, and quality is the best. I hadn't been here in years, therefore, I expected the cost of items had risen. However, I didn't expect the menudo to have doubled in cost. Wow, the high cost of food, minimum wage increase, etc. has really hit the restaurant businesses. I get it...it's what it is. I only go here for the menudo and it's take out. (I enjoy it in the comfort of my own home). The broth was flavorful and satisfying, but at the cost of $16.95 for a bowl, I will limit my visits (as it will help my health as well). :) read more

Food is really great with friendly staff - taking off 1 star because when they get busy, seems they don't have efficiency / communication to manage the busy-ness. Stopped by this coffee shop at peak brunch hour around 11:15 AM and we were lucky to get a table for 2 outside pretty much immediately (I still prefer to eat outdoors despite being vaccinated). We were given coffee and menus promptly after being seated and the young lady mentioned she was not able to take our order because she wasn't a waitress but would let her co-worker know, which is fine because I know some busy cafes have hostesses versus waiters/waitresses. We waited around 20 minutes before we popped in to say we're ready to order and the same hostess said someone would be right out. She did come out and refill our coffee and seemed genuinely apologetic. At this point they're slammed because I heard a staff tell someone they'd need to wait 40 min for a takeout order since they're so busy. We waited another 15 minutes out of courtesy before we popped in again and this time I spoke to a waitress directly and asked if someone could take our order since it had been half an hour since we got seated and she apologized profusely, saying NO ONE TOLD HER WE WERE SEATED OUTSIDE!! Mind you, after being told (and reassured) twice by the hostess that someone was notified and coming to take our order. I was a little weary at this point since we needed to leave in 25 min to make an appointment elsewhere and I didn't think it would take 35 min to order. The only reason I didn't give a lower rating than 4 stars is because the waitress was really friendly, gave us great suggestions, and EXPEDITED OUR FOOD ORDER without us even asking her to since she felt bad about us waiting outside so long. We got the food about 5 min after ordering! Despite eating quickly (we ate it all in about 10 min, we were that hungry), waitress made it a point to come by asking how everything was sometime in the middle of our meal. I also had to go in to give them my credit card (even though at this point it was almost 12:30 and the busy brunch flood was almost over), but I was just happy to have gotten my food and not be late to my appointment. I would def come in again - at least staff isn't aggressive or snappy when you ask them for things. read more

This building used to be Chacha's Mexican Restaurant. It's on the south side of West Foothill Boulevard just east of Angeleno Avenue. (next to the Strike Zone batting cages) My husband and I have eaten here a handful of times when it was still Chacha's since his cousin was on the APU volleyball team & we ate here before her game before. We noticed that they closed down and were wondering what was in store for this location. Then we see Flo's Coffee Shop... ooh nice. Their sign says that they specialize in breakfast. Over the weekend, my husband and I come here for breakfast. They serve menudo on Saturday and Sundays so he orders a bowl. I opted for the French Toast combo (3 pieces of toast, 2 eggs, and 2 pieces of bacon or sausage). Wow, I must say, it was pretty good. My husband enjoyed his menudo as well. (He said it was better than La Tolteca's which is just a block away). For 2 sodas, menudo & french toast combo - our bill came out to $18.00. Anyway, they had plenty of breakfast items to chose from so we'll be back. I guess this could be a good option if Flappy Jack's in Glendora has an hour wait and you're starving... LOL. The owner of this Flo's is the same as the one who owned the Flo's Coffee Shop in El Monte. I think i overheard the waitress tell another customer that the other server didn't come in for some reason. She was as pleasant as she could be, but can tell she was overwhelmed. Was on our way to Costco, and we wanted breakfast, but wanted to try a different place, my brother-in-law suggested this place. From the outside, this place looks like a little hole in the wall, a place that you would see somewhere on a long stretch of road in New Mexico, but some hole in the wall places are hidden gems. After eating here, didn't see a sparkle. Inside looked just as bad as the outside. I ordered the Huevos rancheros, which was ehhh, somewhat barely OK, Son ordered the tuna melt with fries, lots of tuna, and fries were pretty good, brother-in-law ordered Huevos divorciado, which is almost the same as mine, but with green and red sauce. The waitress screwed up his ordered, and noticed that another waitress screwed up the order at the table next to us. Don't know if they're not paying attention, or the cooks aren't looking at the tickets correctly. The waitress also never checked on us for water, never even looked at us, so that we could flag her down. Frankly not a great, or even a good experience here. Since the fries were pretty good, we might come back one day, (and that's a big might) and try the burgers. read more

This is a small homey place tucked in a corner off of Foothill Blvd and Angeleno in Azusa Ca. Flo's cafe delivers with big flavor and great coffee I had the omelette with bacon cheese, avocado, O'Brien potatoes, and wheat toast dry. They offer regular cream or french vanilla for your coffee, which I thought was great. The salsa is tasty and not hot. This place gives you a lot of food and they offer menudo. Ten of us family members travelled to Rialto for a wedding. On the way back we stopped for breakfast/lunch. It is very rare to walk into a restaurant and be welcomed by really family nice people. Lisa our server was just that except she was a superb server. I wish I could say Flo's replacing Cha Cha's was a good move, but unfortunately it wasn't the best move. Went today to try their menudo. My brother and I waited longer than most customers did for their seating and order to be taken. Once the menudo came out, about 20 minutes later, it was underwhelming as it was lukewarm. The mimosas were good, do not ask for chips and salsa. The sassy waitress upon being asked if there was a hotter salsa, quipped back by saying, "no that's the only one we have, add the crushed pepper seeds to it," that came with the menudo. Gave this place a try the other day based off pictures and reviews. I was in the mood for American and Mexican breakfast options and Flo's looked like it offered a great mix of that. I ordered the French Toast combo that came with eggs of your choice and bacon. My eggs were good, bacon a little dry though. The French toast was average, probably 3/5. You can't beat the prices though, really fair for the amount of food you get! My grandma's dish was sooo good though. She ordered the chilaquiles that came with eggs, rice and beans. You can also choose from various breakfast potatoes. And she definitely approved. A little spicy but that's how they should be, so tasty! Definitely chilaquiles done right. I loved the coffee, probably had 4 cups haha, and really appreciated that they had French vanilla creamers. That's rare. Will totally return for other dishes! read more

The lady with glasses named Lisa doesn't have any customer service skills, first she makes a rude comment saying my husband was holding up the table and my father in laws bacon came out burnt and he asked nicely for a new bacon and she roles her eyes very rudely making us feel uncomfortable. Then on top of it she charged herself a 22$ tip for herself saying it's mandatory with a party of 6 or more which she did not mention when we first arrived. Haha, my boyfriend's awesome and found this place on our way to the lake. It was just a coincidence that it has my name in it and that was fun. The people there were super pleasant and the food was fresh. Due to my diet, my food had to be very plain, but it's ok because it was good. They were also happy to substitute anything I could not eat because of my diet or my lactose intolerance. The workers were super nice and we had a great experience. This was a nice little surprise to come across. While on our way to the lake for some fishing, we found Flos. I certainly am a fan of breakfast diners that are consistent, and don't try to over due it. Flos was great. They're breakfast, which they specialize in, was satisfying. I had a sausage, pepper and spinach omelette. Very big portion, made to order. The refried beans were a Little overcooked, but still not bad. The meal was good, the staff friendly, as was the price. So the rating for 2 stars is based on the service. I came here with my mom and the restaurant was full but then it wasn't. I guess they only have one waitress taking the whole restaurant's order. First of all it took them 15 mins to come and ask us about our drinks but by this time we were ready to order but to our surprise the waitress told us she could not take our order because there were 2 tables ahead of us who had not ordered mind you we were a table of 2 and those other tables were larger parties. She was like I can take your order but i won't give it to the cook until the other 2 tables have ordered.. like wtf?!?? Who does that... the service was very disorganized and this really turned me off... she told the table next to us the same thing because they were also ready to order... they too were just a table of 2... As for the food pretty simple and basic its not like we ordered a five course meal so I couldn't understand the reasoning behind the waitresses reasoning... My mother ordered the menudo (just pour into a bowl and serve. Pretty basic right) and I ordered some french toast with eggs... the food was good but the SERVICE SUCKS BIG TIME... If they don't want people coming back to there restaurant this is the way to go... i definitely won't be returning.... read more
