During my visit, I ordered the Indian spiced cauliflower which is seasoned with turmeric and topped with dates and almonds. This was really tasty and if you like Indian spices, you will absolutely enjoy this dish! I also ordered the Glow bowl which was a limited-time bowl which had sweet potato 'noodles', bok choy, zucchini, jalapeno, and shiitake mushrooms all coated in a mouth-watering coconut milk and sunflower butter sauce. It has changed a bit since its beginnings in Arizona...with fewer menu items and larger portions, but there still are plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, omnivores, and those looking for gluten free. We chose this location early on a Saturday evening. There wasn't much of a crowd inside, but they were doing a steady carry-out / curbside business. It took a few minutes for anyone to notice us at the 'dine-in' register, but we did receive an apology for the wait. We decided to eat on the patio, and waited about 10 minutes before one of our meals arrived. The other two took another 3-5 minutes. The food was very good, as expected. The middle eastern-flavored cracked cauliflower and quinoa was a favorite. The sweet corn and quinoa tasted very rich. The red chile sweet potato had just enough spice. After donating blood we wanted to have some healthy food. Found this place using yelp; it was fairly busy when we entered but were lucky enough to grab a table inside as a party was leaving. Not going to lie, when I first came here I expected to hate this place or I tried to. The food is a bit over priced & the whole atmosphere seemed gimmicky. I thought the whole purpose of this place was just to show that it's instagram-worthy, but you can tell from the pictures I kept coming here. Today was my first experience at a Flower Child and I was blown away by their customer service, the quality of the food and the noticeably clean restaurant. Every employee I encountered had a welcoming smile and acknowledged me from the moment I walked in. Due to COVID-19, I wasn't able to dine-in but it was clear the entire staff was taking extra precautions to maintain a healthy environment and a safe distance. Many guest pulled curbside and the employees brought their food to the car which is extremely convenient and considerate of the guest. AMAZING! My mom raved about this place and it was constantly recommended by Yelp so I finally gave in. The food is filling and never makes me feel bloated. The first time I went there I tried the Mother Earth bowl with the chicken and I loved everything in there with the exception of the pistachio pesto so I subbed that for extra sweet potatoes the next time I went. I have also tried the Entree w/ two sides got the salmon with a side of sweet potatoes and the sweet corn and quinoa and I didn't to stop eating. If I had to pick one favorite restaurant when dinning out it would definitely be Flower Child. The typical overly used words like amazing and delicious don't do it justice. Every menu item is full of flavor and freshness. I particularly love the Thai Dye wrap. It's filled with spicy organic tofu, Thai basil, avocado, carrot, daikon radish, cilantro and snap pea. Mother Earth and Glow bowls are also excellent choices. You can pair these with your favorite meat, fish or tofu. Their seasonal lemonades and iced teas are extremely refreshing and very similar to the beverages offered by Veggie Grill restaurants in California. The menu price point is right where it should be. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! It is a bit expensive- too expensive for me to eat everyday BUT I never regret a purchase because it is always delicious. I can also enjoy knowing everything is healthy and fresh. My favorite is the forbidden rice with steak the portion is so big I can usually save half for the next day. YES to leftovers for lunch!!! I was planning my day today and knew I wouldn't be in the mood to cook after my midday workout. So I searched yelp for a good healthy salad or bowl recommendation and came across Flower Child! The roasted sweet potato and mushrooms gave the bowl a richness and heartiness, the arugula gave a light balance to the steak and the roasted red pepper marmalade was a great complement to the sweet potatoes and brought everything together. Some of the other additions were the pistachio pesto, which went well. I realized after that I could have eliminated the steak and still would've been satisfied. Everything came neatly wrapped and perfectly executed (I decided against the ancient grains and they made sure not to include them). I will definitely order from this place again.
