TL;DR/The Short Version: Cute little florist and plant shop in Westboro. They've been around for a while. The Long Version: I had to make specific plans to visit this store even though it's in my neighbourhood and I walk by it all the time because they are only open Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm. So they open after I'm at work and close before I finish and they're close to my home, but not my workplace, so I can only go on Saturdays. Hey, if they can make that work for them (and they do because they have been in business for well over a decade, maybe even more than two decades, as they've been there ever since I moved to the neighborhood), good on them. I would love to work limited hours too, lol. Anyway, I finally made it in to browse the shop. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but poking around for anything interesting that would catch my eye. Admittedly, I have limited space for plants and am at the point in my collection where I'm only looking for small unusual looking plants (think mesembs). I did not find any but enjoyed looking around. They have pretty plants that looked to be in good shape. Nothing too exotic or unusual but a good selection nonetheless. Staff were busy tending to other customers so I did not interact with them, which is fine by me, as I prefer to browse on my own anyway. The store is very cozy and nicely laid out. Prices are higher than greenhouses/garden centres but that's to be expected, since it's a small boutique in Westboro, lol. Prices are comparable to other small plant stores in the city. Since I walk by all the time, I'll keep an eye on their window display and if they get any new and unusual plants, I'll make it a point to drop in again on a Saturday ;) Review #86 (2025) read more

This west-end florist is a favourite among locals, which explains why there is such a loyal client base. I like Tivoli's and make it my choice of sending flowers to loved ones or getting them to help in events because they give that personal touch. The owner, Mr. Corbeil, often is at the forefront himself in interacting with customers. They have a happy-go-lucky atmosphere and it appears like the staff is always enjoying their jobs; whether you talk to them over the phone to make an order, or see them in person, they're never surly or grumpy. Definitely a good thing! The choice of flower arrangements is also great; they give you the option of customizing your choice as well. For those that may not know much about flowers and bouqets (ie. me), they're very helpful and getting you what you want for the right purpose. The prices can be a tad expensive, but not completely unreasonable either. Tivoli's is definitely worth checking out, if anything just for the friendly help! read more

The measure of a good business is being able to speak about it positively, without having to scrounge for good things to say about it. You can only say good things about Flowers Talk. You can find this shop in the Westboro area where Ottawa's trendy population goes to shop, eat, drink and be merry. But Flowers talk isn't a snooty Establishment or a place only for those with money. It is simply a great flower shop. The sign out front gives you a taste for what you'll find inside. it's colourful and vibrant, just like the flowers the staff will soon be guiding you through. The staff is small, but knowledgeable and it is no wonder the shop is sought after by brides, businesses, and everyone else looking to make a statement at a special event. In fact, you can find the owner (Liz Young) on TV giving flower advice. The bottom line is they know what they are doing, charge a reasonable price for the quality of amount of work that goes in to each project, and the staff is human. They see you as a person not as a walking dollar sign. In a competitive industry Flowers Talk is a great find. read more

Flowerstalk did the flowers for my wedding 5 years ago and even now I look back fondly at how beautiful those flowers were. They absolutely made the day perfect. My mother in law worked with Elizabeth and Elizabeth was so helpful and made the most wonderful suggestions. She totally got the vision that we had for the flowers and was able to work within our budget, while providing creative ideas regarding types of flowers and colour palettes. I was over the moon with the results. On my wedding day, I burst into tears when I saw my bouquet. It was absolute perfection and the same could be said about the bridesmaids' bouquets, all of the boutonnieres and the flowers at our reception. What a spectacular display. read more

Horrible horrible experience. One of the biggest regrets of my wedding. Did she really think once I showed up to the wedding reception with nothing looking like we had discussed, that I wouldn't notice? Did not deliver on so many of her promises and what I asked for...NOTHING was what I wanted including my bouquet! And I know it was not a miss communication issue as I had pointed it all out when she showed me the sample. The end results of my centerpieces didnt look half as worth as I spent on them. Also, if you want something specific, make sure you stand up to yourself or she will push you to get the cheapest flowers and still charge you the same as she would for the more expensive ones. For what I got in the end, I would say she definitely over priced things. DO NOT HIRE ELIZABETH! if you do, PLEASE put everything in the contract! type of flowers, colours of each of those flowers...how many, the exact type and size and colour of the vases/containers you use, everything! read more

Highly recommended for personal service and a beautiful, specially-made floral arrangement. I called this morning and asked Elizabeth at the shop to put something together for my mom that was really chic and had a lot of drama. She understood instantly that I didn't want a grandmotherly palette or selection. My mom is so thrilled with her flowers - gorgeous, rich autumn colors and a very dramatic arrangement. I used Tivioli for my flowers for my wedding. Most of the flower shops I went to were sterile and the staff weren't particularly helpful. Tivioli's store is so welcoming and the staff were fantastic. The woman I dealt with was able to see my vision for flowers and designed beautiful bouquets and corsages. This was by far my favourite vendor to deal with throughout the whole wedding process. The initial price was a little steep but the woman was able to make some adjustments to the types of flowers and size of the bouqets and the final price was quite reasonable. I have recommended Tivioli to anyone in Ottawa who is getting married. read more

My significant other has been sending me beautiful flowers from Tivoli for years ! However, this Valentines Day ... The roses were LESS than perfect. Long stems in a vase, the petals were already curled and black!!! Friends at work (where they were delivers) commented on "what's wrong they look old)!! Sunday called and spoke with Elizabeth. Told her that they were not acceptable ! My sig other was out of town!! At no time did she apologize ... Pics were sent to her via iOS !!! She did say I sounded like they were left in the van overnight!! I did receive a dozen fresh ones on Wednesday, at which time .... I found out that Mr Corbeil no longer owned Tivoli !!! I used Tivoli's for all of my wedding flowers in the fall of 2011. I was very pleased with the consultation, where I was met with warm staff who seemed to understand what I envisioned for my bouquets, boutenniers, and center pieces. One of the ladies even threw together a 'mock' bouquet with the colours and types of flowers that I wanted. The prices were reasonable, and I walked out of the consultation quite pleased. However, on my wedding day, when the flowers actually arrived, I was shocked. I had specifically asked for a cascading bouquet, and shown a beautiful example of a orchid cascade that they would use. My actual bouquet did not cascade at all, and actually looked very similar to my bridesmaids' - I had been reassured that there would be noticeable differences. I had specified that the flowers for the center pieces to be red - in keeping with the rest of the colour theme. The actual colour that were delivered was purple - clashing with the colour scheme. Apparently Tivoli's were unable to order the flowers of the desired colours - however, I wish they had let us know beforehand. While colours/styles of bouquets and center pieces matter little in the wonderful union of our wedding, it would have been nice to avoid the unpleasant surprise in an already busy, stressful day. read more

After using this company for several years, we have decided NEVER to use them again. They charged us over 200$ for an awful arrangement for a diner party. Their customer service and quality has significantly decreased over the years and we are sad to say that they are overcharging and not providing the quality they used to. only advise is to use other, smaller local florists who will cater to their customer's needs. read more

I am based in the UK but my sister lives in Nepean, Ontario. I wanted to send her some flowers following a car accident she was involved in. The flowers I ordered cost $85 (inc delivery at $15) so when my sister sent a photo the small bunch of cheap looking tulips etc that she received, I was very shocked and disappointed. My brother-in-law, who would normally not even have an opinion on flowers, was shocked to hear that I had spent more than $30 based on what they received. Rubbish service. The only thing I can say in their favour is that they delivered on the day I selected. They give the option to get a photo of the bunch they are sending and I requested this, but haven't received a photo from them. read more

Hi I just want to say that Tivoli Florist had been recommended to me from a friend. Loved the feeling when you walk in. They have a bird that gives the feeling of a tropical paradise with all the plants. They even have holiday ornaments and branches. We were able to design a fabulous center piece and they delivered it on time. My friends were thrilled. Very creative team. read more
