My most recent attempt was a month prior and I've heard nothing since, despite me following up. Buying a home is a major decision, and it's frustrating to feel ignored and dismissed when trying to get clear, basic information. If this is the level of communication during the inquiry phase, I'm deeply concerned about what the process would be like after signing a contract.

I just feel horrible and like giving up after talking with this company, specifically Venice. I wish I could just buy something and be done instead of being forced to get a loan. This was the 6th manufactured home dealer we have been to and by far the most knowledgeable, upfront and helpful by far. She listened to our needs, immediately knew which layouts would serve out needs and budget. There was no mystery, she laid out pricing and was helpful letting us know what we could add and what we should add. I felt like the process was doable. Also the homes on the lot look nice. The craftsmanship is excellent. On a personal note, the homes are air conditioned so we didn't feel like we had to rush through and get out before heat stroke set in. So we were able to spend more time in the homes looking at the features and discussing things.

Not only had I not given permission but I was not informed they had moved in. My husband was handcuffed and almost taken to jail because we tried to get our things from our property. I had to say hello first, as the caller, then I had to confirm I even called the correct place and not just some cranky person on a private number. Then, he goes on to act like an absolute jerk. Condescending, rude, horrible tone, unhelpful. He said he was too backed up (said he was booked months out), then he said he won't deliver to certain places due to not wanting to bother with any sort of flood plain permits (the address I was asking about was in a 1-ft sheet plain area that would NOT require engineering, per county). My husband calls the next day, and this guy (same one on all calls) gives him a quote no problem, wasn't backed up too much to take the order/give estimates. Even chatted with him a little. So then, when I call again later to confirm the estimate and schedule move times, he won't even let the call continue because "my phone was breaking up too much" that, he claims, he couldn't even hear me. He was on the middle of a long list of movers I called, on my weeks-old new phone, and the only one who couldn't hear me. Should I have my husband call back on my phone? Doesn't matter- who'd want to patronize unprofessional behavior like this? I don't want to risk my home to some one who seems so upset and annoyed by me.
