Hair stylists could not follow my instruction carefully, and even when I would show them a picture of what hair cut I was looking for, no one would listen. Today, I finally met my match! I made an appointment online using a 50% off code. I went to the appointment and when I was done they charged me full price. when I question it, the girl at the car said there wasn't anything she could do and called her supervisor. I explained the situation to her and she said unless I could show her an email showing the 50% off there was nothing she could do. Well, I know that's a bunch of BS because the supervisor she could do anything to override that system. They have my email they have my phone number and obviously I was in their computer because they had my appointment. So why didn't they have my discount in there. What they want up doing was costing my hairstylist her tip because I refuse to leave a tip. And the worst part is because I'm going to chemotherapy that my hair a lot and because of that instead of getting my haircut every six weeks I don't get my haircut for three months. So I was planning on paying the full price anyway, but that other $17 was gonna be the tip for my hairstylist because I don't see her that much anymore and it's the holiday season. So not only did they screw me by not honoring the 50% off, but they cost again my hairstylist her tip. And I will never go back there again, so it cost them a customer. read more

Not a bad place if you are looking for a hipster hair cut. I made the mistake of taking my 5 year old in for a cut and he asked if they could shave the spiderman logo in his hair. $32 later he had his hair cut. The place was pretty packed and my wife claims that I was taken advantage of because she gets his hair done there like this all the time and it's only $16. Maybe I was a victim of gender profiling or maybe just bad business. Maybe I'll give them another shot and update my review. read more

The hair cut was nice, but she thinned my hair without informing me she had intentions to thin it. I hadn't mentioned my hair's thickness nor asked her to thin it out. I am now contemplating going to another salon to get a pixie or bob cut from what used to be a shoulder blade/upper back due to the fact I am trying to grow it out and I will never be able to get split ends out of it like this. From what I saw this location seems to do more mens cuts (which looked amazing) than womens cut. She had already thinned over half my head before I picked up that it was happening and in my mind it was useless to say anything since that hair was already gone. I also didn't get the chance to say anything while checking out as another patron was waiting behind me and I just wanted to leave so I could process. The patron after me even commented that it looked like they had trimmed cousin it in the chair I was in due to the amount of hair on the floor. I was just hoping for a trim and some new bangs but now it looks like I will adopting a more drastic look here shortly. If she had stopped the cut right before she went through and thinned it I would have loved it. I love the bangs, but the length of my hair just feels very sad and flat compared to what it had felt like before. Edit: I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 due to how quickly their customer support team was able to get back to me and help me. I've been going here for about 2 years. My old location did a great job. This place does okay but I'm a guy so I just like how close it is to my house l. Last month my appointment got bumped because they had people call out. That's fine. But than again it happened today. I don't have time to just move appointments around and honestly it was the only time I could go this week. So I'm just not going to use this location anymore. Went in for a walk in and got sat in a chair within 20 minutes. Amber was my stylist and she had a great, welcoming, personality. She made it a very relaxing experience. My husband and I came in yesterday for some hair cuts and we were matched up with Leah. (Actually, the nice receptionist recommended her to us), and she was right!! Leah is a phenomenal stylist/barber. Not only did she give us a top notch cut, but she also showed compassion when I told her that my grandmother was in the hospital. She is an extraordinary person and I truly hope she gets recognized for this review. If my hubby and I weren't leaving Colorado she would be our permanent stylist. We absolutely love her! I was growing my hair and it got a little past where I wanted it so I asked for two inches trimmed all around with some texture. She cut off all my hair in the back. Left the front nice and long and didn't cut it at all, though, and I had to trim that when I got home. What's the opposite of a mullet? I got that. It's gonna take months to grow that back out. MY LETTER TO FLOYD'S CORPORATE AFTER A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE MY GIRLFRIEND HAD W/ MY SON THERE (Let me preface by saying the stylist did an awesome job!) My girlfriend took my son in to get his mohawk trimmed up. After a little discussion (and knowing she had some money on a floyds gift card) she decided to have them dye it red.... the price.. $60. Just for the dye treatment on a 2 in by 6 inch strip of hair. So how much for the full head?!?!?!? If I went to a carpet store to buy carpet..and asked how much for the carpet in my hallway....and they quoted me the same price as re-carpeting the whole house..I would tell them where to go! But...my girlfriend agreed to the price of $60 (which did not include the haircut). So I guess we take some blame for getting suckered. This is not my major problem with this trip. While I am at work getting photo texts of my son's transformation, I get another text informing me that your employees told my girlfriend that their card swiper was down and they couldn't take gift or credit cards and that SHE would have to find another way to make the payment. What kind of crap is this?? This is the company's problem, not my girlfriends. Suddenly the credit cards began to work just before my son was done with the haircut. My concern is what type of crap would have been caused if it didn't?? I will not be using this Floyd's or any other again if there isnt some sort of "fix" to this horrible experience as the gift card has been a CONSTANT issue (started with $100...every time I used for a haircut, i was told it was an "old" card and there were problems with the new system not taking the old card. It usually took longer to pay than it did for the haircut), and your tactics to make sure you get your money are absolutely horrendous. I WILL FINISH REVIEW IF/WHEN I GET A REPLY FROM FLOYDS! Floyd's has the constant beating top 40 music in the background, however that aside it's one of the few places that still offer the solid haircut under $20, a shave and a shoulder massage. Not all reps are able to do shaves but for a great job I would check with Bill. Reservations can be made online with your own hairstylist or as I like to call them barber. read more

Did I mention none of the staff were nice, courteous, or even remotely pleasant? Overall I would say that unless you like hanging around, listening to really odd conversations between hairdressers, then getting a moderate to bad haircut, go somewhere else. Okay, well I tried giving this place another shot after receiving a phone call from management based on my last review. Nothing has improved. Now TWO girls were at the front desk, no greeting. This time instead of 30 seconds with no acknowledgement, it was about 10 seconds, zero eye contact was made, with the first thing out of there mouths "appointment?"... c'mon. A simple hello, hi, hey, anything, would show that they want your business... but no. They quote me 30 minutes, I've been sitting here now for 45. 6 people have walked in after me and they have gotten seats either immediately or after a couple of minutes. 3 associates have just walked into the back and not come out, I get people need to take breaks but seriously. After moving to the Denver area, it took me a good year or two tons some place that I felt cut my hair the way I like. After using a couple of locations, I finally settled to primarily using the location in Northglenn that was closest to my house at the time. I tried several stylist/barbers and they all did well. I got Sam one time and I have to say that she is amazing. Since then, I have spend the past year or more only going to her--usually twice a month. When I moved to Parker in May this year I have continued to make the 40ish minute drive to the northglenn location because I really like Sams personality and the job she does when she is cutting my hair. I can sit in the chair and do not have to worry about if it's gonna be what I want. We decide to do the same as before and she gets to work. I had an appointment scheduled today at 2pm. There had been an accident on the interstate and I called about 7 minutes before the appointment to let them know we were stuck in traffic and would be late. I said should be 10-15 minutes. The receptionist did say that that after 10 minutes they could give away the time. I said ok and added that I am getting there as quick as I can and I hope that she can still take me. When I arrived there it had been just over 10 minutes but less than 15. When I walked in she said that unfortunately it was more than 10 minutes and like she told me Sam had to take someone else. She did say someone else is available now and could take me. So was it so crucial to put someone else in the chair with Sam when another person was available as well? I understand everything went exactly as they stated it would, however I would have hoped my actions of calling ahead, my dedication to the location and one person there would have one on me something for customer service sake. I guess not. I know they stay busy and Sam is popular due to the great work she does. However, no matter how great she is, and Sam is awesome, I can't continue to go to a location based solely on that when my loyalty gets me nothing but a sorry. I won't take the chance on the "what if's" that may happen with traffic in route. From my understanding, this is a company policy decision and not a stylist/barber choice. Knowing that I'm also less likely to even use the Floyd's that is 5 minutes from my house. read more

We called ahead to be put in the list, but still felt people who walked in after us (without an appointment as far as we could tell) were taken care of first. It wouldn't hurt for the girl at the front desk to smile either. Other than that, most of the stylists were very friendly - there is always one or two anywhere you go who just don't enjoy life while taking a smoke break between every client. On to the good. Kristyn was my stylist and I am unsure of the name that belongs to the very capable hands my boyfriend saw. They were both amazing. He had his style updated and cleaned up from the Barber he went to before at another place and I talked him into the hot shave. He said it was "life changing". He enjoyed that she caught onto his quiet and shy demener and didn't want to talk. His only down side was that the girl working next to the station he was in was having an uncomfortable conversation about sex an maybe getting knocked up. Also, the two stylists bumped in close quarters and my boyfriend was glad that the straight razor wasn't in her hand. Kristyn was phenomenal and I plan to only let her touch my hair from now on. I have some medical issues that leave my hair less than ideal. She cut and styled it and you couldn't tell that I have bald spots. I almost cried in joy. She also cleaned up my undercut and made an amazing design. She was very understanding and it didn't feel awkward to discuss my medical issues with her. Thomas was in the station next to her and he was very nice and chatted with me as well. We both felt that we were truly cared for and received amazing attention from our stylists. Although I'm a frequent customer and partial to my stylist, Kari S which I love her positive attitude and honest opinion but if you want to try her out you've got to call for a reservation. Fade is what I wanted and a crooked and noticeable line of unevenness is what I got. She has obviously never successfully done a fade before. Yo wtf I tried to tell them I only had $200 on my person and they couldn't even apple pay!! This place has turned into a big corporate monster. Their turnover is awful (good luck trying to find a regular barber). Their best barbers leave and go elsewhere. But the real kick in the pants was that I was forced to wait at a shop so that a corporate HR person could cut in front of me for a free cut and color. Wow! Talk about valuing your customers! I will NOT be back. Go elesewhere! You can do much, much, much better. read more

I had a really bad experience with this place... I wanted to get my eyebrows done while my boyfriend had a hot shave. This was the most painful eyebrow wax I've ever had, in more ways than one. They don't have a dedicated space for waxing, so the beautician just pulled a chair out from a table and mumbled some instructions. She walked away and didn't come back for about five minutes. When she returned we got started on the waxing. They use hard wax here, which I really like, but the wax was SO hot that it burned my skin. The waxing took almost 20 minutes because she kept talking about how much she thought getting your eyebrows waxed was torture and a waste of money. I'm not kidding!!! She said over and over again how much she hated doing them and would NEVER get them done because she can do it on her own. I will not be returning to this place, and neither will my boyfriend because he had crazy cuts all over his face from his shave... beware. All in all, rude staff, high prices, low quality experience. read more

Not the place for ethnic hair. We went in with pictures of what we wanted and didn't want. The outcome- my kid was bald for family pictures. The edges were uneven. I understand it's difficult to cut ethic hair properly, but if it's not something some had experience with, I wish they would have just said something. I have been to this place about 5 times and every stylist has been great until today. I explained I wanted my hair tapered and trimmed up/thinned out on top. I even showed her pictures. She (don't remember her name) started cutting my hair and then said they usually don't like doing tapered cuts bc the customer doesn't know what that means so she didn't do one initially. After I told her that wasn't what I was going for and told her again, she said "I'm not mad at you I just don't know what your saying". Did the pictures throw you off? Further into the cut she told me how she's had customers get upset at her bc they can't communicate well... she said she told an old man she'd use a size 0 all over his head if he raised his voice at her... customer service?! she asked how the front looked and I asked if she even cut anything there and I got the response "I'm sorry, I always forget to cut the front". There was a stylist who just got there (around 5) and she looked at me like she was aware the situation was as awkward as it was. I am giving 2 stars bc I usually have a good experience but this time I was genuinely afraid she was going to shave my head out of not knowing what to do. Not sure if I'll ever go back to this location just to not end up w the girl w blue/white streaks in her hair. If you see them and she calls your name... run. read more

I walked in and was told the wait would be about 20-30 mins. A guy can in after me by about 15 mins. and was called up before me, asa was a younger teenage kid and his dad. I called 30 minutes before for my sons hair cut ladies on the phone were very nice and helpful. When we arrived, the place is very nice inside and had cool music playing. Very nice friendly setting. I was impressed with its overall cleanliness. All barbers and hairstylists were very clean and well dressed. I don't remember the woman's name who cut my sons hair but she did an excellent job. I went in for a simple beard trim. Got stuck with the "special shave" bs. Then you cut my beard too short, when I said leave it the same length. Then you proceeded to fuck up the beard lines too. Haircut with a shave, $22...leaving feeling like a million bucks, priceless. I don't know what it is about this place, but I feel good when I leave. I like that you can check online to see if your favorite barber is working. I don't like calling ahead, but it's nice to see if she'll be there that day. I've been coming to Floyd's for for several years. It's a great atmosphere for getting your haircut, with the music pumping and the friendly stylists. The stylists however, can be pretty hit-or-miss. I have finally found one I love...who? I'm not telling. She is hard enough to get in with. But I love that she takes her time and is very thorough, she keeps me pointed AT the mirror so I can see what she is doing (not at the door so she can see who is coming in -- a common problem with the stylists here), and she cleans up my eyebrows.
