The gent who came out (Thomas) told me everything I needed to know and was thorough. Tradesman and CanPro were less so. No problems with the company/payment. Paid at office in order to discuss the high price only to have the guy at the desk say "it's because it's sometimes difficult to clear the blockage and it's detail work". He quit trying to blow smoke up my clean out when I knew the machine was a $1500 machine and it took less than an hour. My brother has been a plumber for 35 years and told me I got ripped off, just wish he wasn't 4 hours away or I wouldn't have been taken advantage of. Called around in Steinbach and was quoted $200-$250 by other plumbers so I know who never to call again. They literally drove 4 blocks so travel cannot justify the price either. Any plumber with a fancy binder with flat rates will take you for a ride.

To say i'm disappointed in our latest transaction doesn't begin to scratch the surface…read more I was a loyal customer of RMB for 15 years, spent 10's of thousands of dollars, new furnace, air conditioner, water heater, well pump and tank, softener system, extensive repairs to water lines outside, installation of toilets, shower stalls, as well as many other smaller jobs. I arrived home from work last night, after my semi annual diamond club check (at $30.00 a month) to an estimate of 10K of unneeded work from a guy, David, who my wife described as a "car salesman". To add insult to injury, immediately following his "inspection", one of my two sump pumps failed. Coincidence? unlikely, but possible. He tries to sell me two pumps, but I advised him to just install one. I then get another call from him today and he tells me both have now failed. Coincidence? I hardly think so. At the very least, it's sketchy, two pumps that worked perfectly fine until he showed up. I was a bit disappointed in them last year during my shower install, when a faulty installation cause $1600.00 damage to the ceiling in my kitchen. They offered me a $300.00 discount, I had to foot the bill for the damage their faulty installation cost me. I should have listened to my gut and stopped using them then. However, today takes the cake. I truly do not believe for a second that his "inspection" and both my pumps failing was a coincidence. I have no problem paying for work properly done and needed, but i would be VERY cautious about hiring them. They used to have a slogan "Happy today, or you don't pay". Not any more.
