Super cute café attached to the bookstore and definitely worth stopping in. There's plenty of seating, including a cozy little area for kids, which makes it feel really welcoming and relaxed. The menu is surprisingly large with something for everyone, coffee, tea, mimosas, even milkshakes. It's the kind of place you can hang out for a while, whether you're reading, catching up with someone, or just treating yourself. Very friendly service from Lela and everyone else inside.

Fire roasted tomato soup and salad with balsamic dressing. Yum!

Pro's: Varied menu, super fresh foods Con's: None Go back?: Yes! More...What an excellent weather day it was in Genoa. A friend and I stopped in to this cafe for a bit. I loved my fire roasted tomato soup and their house salad. Both were fresh and delicious. The bonus was the house made chocolate ice cream! All was very delicious and sitting outside was lovely.

We came in for breakfast and were very pleased with the friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We enjoyed a croissant sandwich and a bagel sandwich with Americano coffee. Cute Cute place!

Sometimes you just need motivation to get up and out and around. Today it was Flutter and Buzz that got us moving, and who knew that the menu was so varied that would have something for both of us We just walked 1.3 miles from Wally's Hot Springs and it was a very sunny day. We were parched and offered a pitcher of water while we waited for our food order. We enjoyed it very much. Curious about the food? We had scrambled eggs with a variety of vegetables and white, sharp cheddar cheese, splendid in. It was delightful. We also shared a blueberry muffin, a Mediterranean avocado toast, and we enjoyed a bowl of fruit as well. The environment was very casual and welcoming. On this visit, we sat on the porch at a table for two and enjoyed the view of downtown Genoa as we ate our breakfast. This establishment let you know that there's more than just a bar in Genoa. We will be back.

Such a cute find in the 1851 town of Genoa. Loved everything about this place! Inside and outside seating, partial to the amazingly mountainous views from the outside deck. Service was super friendly and they were so hospitable! Made sure everything was made to order and the food was delicious.

Mediterranean avocado toast with an added poached egg

This place is the cutest and has really comfortable seating inside and outside. Their menu is a bit confusing they have one menu for food, one menu for coffee, and one menu for alcohol. They then have a few items on a digital menu. We ordered the pollinator sandwich, the Mediterranean avocado toast with a poached egg added($3 extra for the egg) the salty cowgirl coffee, and a hibiscus blueberry iced tea with honey. The Parmesan crusted sourdough on both the sandwich and avocado toast was so delicious. The toppings on the sandwich were fresh but I think it needed a bit more hummus or some type of aioli as it was kind of dry. The avocado on the toast seemed to be some type of premade spread as it didn't have much flavor. This was confusing because all of the other ingredients were extremely fresh. Also on the avocado toast- avocado should be the star of the dish - and unfortunately that wasn't the case. If it was advertised this way I would have gladly paid extra for actual fresh slices of avocado. The egg was poached perfectly which was impressive! The salty cowgirl was the perfect blend of salty and sweet. The tea was refreshing and had a unique and delicious flavor. Overall for the four items it was $50 before tip so it was a bit pricey but also expected for Genoa. They charge 3% for paying with a credit card which I didn't see anywhere (I could have missed it because I wasn't looking for it) but it was on my receipt. Will probably try this place again but won't get the avocado toast unless there is an upgrade!

Cute and Friendly Spot [Genoa NV} Located in Nevada's oldest settlement we stopped by this café looking to grab a bite. The establishment looked like a house complete with a porch and stair leading up to the door. When we entered the place it had the comforts similar to like having brunch in a cozy comfortable seating enjoying a cup of joe by a fire, at a table, or on the patio. The vibe was very welcoming and positive. Lots of natural lighting from the many windows. I love the homey and comfort feeling. Couldn't decide if we wanted a savory breakfast or breakfast sweet treats, lunch sandwich or soup & salad. After browsing through the electronic scrolling menu screen we placed our orders at the bar counter. We decided on a Build-Your-Own Scramble with add on options of bacon crumbles, mushroom, spinach, tomatoes and cheese. We picked a table inside the café then shortly after our food was served. The breakfast was delicious, light and tasty... I should've gotten the 3-eggs (I ordered 2 eggs). Hubby and I had a pleasant experience and are looking forward to returning when we come back to this side of Nevada. Review #3733

Absolutely adore everything about this place. Quaint cafe in the small town of Genoa with cute decor and a menu that's to die for. I'd try everyone on there if I could - and the staff is very welcoming. I got the salty cowgirl and croissant boat - both absolutely delicious! My grandparents stuck with cappuccinos and said they're the most classic ones they've ever had. We'll be back - everyone needs to give this place a try!

Flutter & Buzz is a new Breakfast and Lunch Cafe that is located where the Genoa Station Bar & Grille once stood. Gayle and I met for coffee and a nosh this morning with a couple family friends. The new Cafe space has lots of light, room, and light colors. On the other side of the building (and sharing a common door) is the Genoa Wellness Spa. I had previously read with interest in the Record-Courier regarding their Genoa Historic District-related improvements (via the Little Brown Book). Upon entering, the menu was easy to find as it is up up on the screen in front. After ordering at the counter, we took a seat and had our order delivered to our table. The person at the counter informed us that they've only been open a couple weeks and are still working through some of the menu details. One early suggestion that they implemented was having tomato soup available if someone ordered one of their grilled cheese sandwiches. Bakery item sourcing is also in progress, although I found my heated up danish to be quite tasty. Coming soon will be the liquor license, including wine and beer. Gayle and I will definitely be back as we enjoyed our experience and are looking forward to digging through the menu a bit more. And right now, it's one of the few places to get coffee as early as 8 AM in the morning, unless you live here.

This little cafe was warm and cozy. The people were so welcoming and helpful. They had seating indoors, as well as outdoors. We opted for an outside table with the views of the mountains. The panini was delicious and came with a small scoop of cole slaw. The golden milk drink was just as described.

Oatmeal and Latter were great!

Oatmeal and latte were great! Would love to come back and try a sandwich . The view is beautiful and perfect for outside dining.

After all the positive reviews we've been reading about the Flutter & Buzz Cafe, we decided to make the drive across the valley to see what all the flutter & buzz was about...! Located right across from the Genoa Bar on the main street of downtown Genoa, Nevada the restaurant had a nice piece of real estate with some great views of the Sierra Nevada mountains and the quaint & historic downtown. The inside has a digital menu advertising the drinks and a chalk board boasting specials and some printed menus to peruse their eats. My wife and I were both in the mood for breakfast and both chose the pictured Breakfast Boat Croissant which was a flaky buttery croissant (the boat) filled with fluffy scrambled eggs, fresh bacon bits, white onion and melted cheddar cheese. Fantastic! The other menu item which almost swayed me to order lunch instead was their assortment of grilled cheese sandwiches paired with some tomato bisque. A friendly lady took our order and we were given a number to bring back to our selected table. The server quickly brought out our drinks and food, checking up on us twice before we left. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for future visits either breakfast or lunch! Epic meal and experience!

It was rainy, and so everybody was indoors, and it was kind of crowded, but that's a testament to the quality of the food. Our bartender, Maddy, was energetic and friendly, and it didn't hurt that she grew up six doors down on our street. My wife, ever the hugger, was thrilled to see her, and you could tell they had a mutual fondness for each other. So if you're into day drinking, and it's a Sunday, this is a great stop. Quality, alcohol, friendly faces, what look like good food, and a clean and pleasant environment made this the place to stop. Rest assured, we will be back

We had a confirmed reservation for eight at 1:00 pm on a Friday following a wedding ceremony. What should have been a joyful post-wedding lunch became frustrating due to the general manager's attitude. Although the reservation was made, we were told they could not ensure the table that would comfortably fit eight adults -- several over 6 feet tall. We were also informed they would not guarantee any table even a few minutes early so we could place simple floral arrangement on it before bride arrived. Our party was fully prepared to order off the regular menu and pay whatever it took for what would likely have been a one-hour lunch. During the conversation, the manager repeatedly emphasized that they are "always busy," which felt dismissive rather than helpful. The overall tone came across as VERY condescending, especially given the occasion. For a restaurant known for hospitality, this was disappointing. The lunch was booked at another restaurant. Sadly, none of us will be back to The Pink House while the current manager is employed there.

You really have to look. Or you will gonna miss turning into it because it's in a very small plaza. There is a sign outside that says Cowboys Café, but you really gotta kind of look for it. This morning, as we were eating there, I was thinking that this place reminds me of an old style truckstop. You walk in and it's a real western flavor. There's a bar seating and booth seating and tables. The walls are decorated with different kinds of rifles and all kinds of different western style decorations, which is really cool. You're always greeted warmly by the staff. The place gets pretty packed at times, especially on Sundays. But we always seem to get a seat. If we wait it's not usually a very long wait and the food is very much worth the wait. I've been slowly working my way through the menu since we've been coming here. I've had the chicken fried steak. I've had the pancakes. I believe we've even stopped in there for lunch and I had a really good cheeseburger. I've also tried the chili. That is very good. This morning I tried the linguiça with eggs and man it was amazing. They have the best home fries anywhere. The coffee is always good and it's strong the way I like it. So if you haven't been in here, you need to get in here and give these guys a try and I guarantee you'll be coming back.

The ambiance is classic, nice, yet rustic cabin like feeling. The menu looked good and our server informed us of the specials. I decided to get the salmon and the others decided on the steak special. We ordered some calamari to share as our dinners came with soup or salad and a side. They do offer a full cocktail bar and wine/beer menu. My guest opted for an old fashioned, which he said was one of the better tasting ones he's had. The calamari came out nice and hot. Tasting crispy and good, and tasted fresh. My salmon came out light and fresh, with amazing Brussel sprouts. My guests steaks came out perfectly cooked and flavourful. The service was impeccable and our server continued to check on our dining experience. All the staff were super friendly, which made for an amazing dinner. The price pint for a steakhouse was very reasonable and good quality. Plenty of parking is available in the front of the restaurant and easy to get to. Definitely a good experience and good food!

We came kind of late, around 8:30pm and had a party of 8, and at first they said they could not seat us but then Paula (who I assume is the manager) was able to get us in at 9:00pm and she was so kind and personable! The table and chairs we sat at were nice and study and the dining area of the restaurant was just as nice as the entrance. Our server was friendly and attentive and our wait was reasonable. Now for the negatives. Unfortunately the food was not a hit for anyone in our party. My sister-in-law got the chicken pasta and gave it a 2.5/5, she aid the chicken was overcooked, the sauce was runny, and it wasn't very flavorful. I got the Brussel Sprouts and my husband and I give them a 3/5, they were soft but not crispy and the flavor was okay. The Mac & Cheese was a 2/5 on its own but much better when we added salt/pepper, it also had no flavor but the texture was perfect. My 3 kids all got a kids pizza and they all barely ate any so I'd give another 2/5, they said they remind them of the pizza they get at school. My husband's meat pizza was also a 2/5, the crust seemed like maybe it wasn't all the way cooked & he said it tasted like a frozen pizza. My nephew gives the kids grilled cheese a 3/5. And my brother said the chicken BLT was good and he gives it a 4/5 and said he would order it again. Lastly, I ordered a wedge salad but it never came, also after I brought it to my waitresses attention she forgot to take it off the bill, but she quickly fixed it at the end and again was very kind. Unfortunately we will not be going back even though we are staying at the resort next door. We just feel for the price we would like to try other places in Tahoe instead. But I think they are worth a try if you're at the resort.

I had the Traditional Eggs benedict. I have no complaints about the flavor, presentation or accompanying fruit cup. The sauce was the perfect portion for the meal and my food wasn't swimming in sauce. My one critique is that my eggs were a little too well done. I don't like my yolks completely runny, but these had absolutely no run to them. (see accompanying picture). If/when I go back, I'll definitely ask if that is standard and if so, to undercook them a bit so there's a little run to the yolk. Other than that minor detail this plaice is still 10/10.
