After getting engaged, the first thing on the agenda (after setting a date & picking a venue) was finding an amazing photographer... I searched various wedding websites for the perfect one. Instantly when I stumbled upon the Flutter Glass website, I was in love. The style was classic, yet photojournalist with beautiful lighting and SO much life! She was the first (and only) photographer we met with, and we booked her that same day. Not only did we love her gorgeous pictures, we liked how down to earth she was, and that her prices were SO reasonable considering everything you get (no funny business like many other photographers). Jenna at Flutter Glass Photography is absolutely amazing! She is very professional, super on time, and very thorough about shooting every single detail. She showed up to our wedding early and was there until they started taking down the decorations. She managed to juggle my large wedding party and still get every shot I wanted. We even had 2 dogs with us and she worked them into the photos as well. If you want beautifully art directed shots and gorgeous photos she is definitely worth every penny. Every time I show my wedding pictures to someone, they always say that my wedding pictures "look like something out of a magazine". That was the exact reason why I hired Jenna to capture our wedding day. I searched for years among numerous of businesses and websites to find the perfect photographer. Jenna was my photographer for my wedding in September and I could not be more happy with her work. Even before the wedding she was very organized and professional. We had a Pinterest board together where I would pin all the shots I wanted at my wedding. She was professional and thorough the day of the wedding, despite being 7 months pregnant. I really liked Jenna's style of photography when I viewed her online portfolio. I was thrilled she was able to accommodate us at the last minute for our beach elopement. Jenna is a true artist. Upon meeting Jenna, I knew that she was "the one" for us! Her work was creative, beautiful and refreshingly different. Typically, I don't like many photos of myself; however after I saw our engagement photos I KNEW our wedding photos were going to be AMAZING. I just did an outdoor boudoir shoot with Jenna today and I felt compelled to post a review on her work. I was on the hunt for a photographer who used a lot of natural light and could catch all the little moments that matter the most in photos. I looked high and low, at many different websites and I even called a few photographers. Some never even bothered to call or email me back, which made me start to lose faith. Then I saw Jenna's website and her photos blew me away. What really caught my eye about her photos was her ability to capture everything, from the smallest look to the background itself. When she called me back we talked for over an hour and she took the time to get to know me, what I liked, the direction I wanted my photos to go etc.. I decided during that call that Jenna was the photographer I wanted to go with. Fast forward a few emails and pinterest board ideas later, we met up for the shoot. We decided to do it at the Hidden Valley Retreat in Escondido, which made for an amazing background. Once I got there, Jenna greeted me as if I were a good friend and put me at ease immediately. We went through all of my outfit options and decided which ones we liked the most. She was all about the details (just like myself) and even went as far as helping decide which accessories would work well with each outfit/look. She cranked M.I.A. on the stereo and we jumped into it. We played around with poses, lighting, props and furniture. When it was time to do some tasteful topless and near topless photos, Jenna was a total pro about it and never made me feel uncomfortable once. Considering that I'm a curvy girl who has some insecurities when it comes to certain parts of my body her positive attitude and kind words allowed me to come out of my shell and let my confidence shine through. Even when we went over our 1.5 hour time frame she stayed until we got all the shots that mattered most to me. Talk about commitment :) I loved how she listened to my ideas, took my opinion into consideration and made it all a fun, carefree and beautiful shoot. I never saw any of the shots because I want to be surprised just like my fiance will be ;) Speaking of which, he and I both agreed we want her to to do our engagement photos, which we will be shooting this month as well. I hope this review helps anybody out there who's interested in finding a photographer who does creative, beautiful and genuine work. Trust me folks.. Jenna was our photographer for our wedding this month. She did a phenomenal job. She was accommodating, friendly, and very professional. So this review is a little late but better than never! Jenna did our engagement pictures over the summer and was VERY easy to work with. I have never had my pictures taken professionally like this before, outside with hair and makeup. I wasn't sure what to expect and was nervous. But as soon as we met up, I felt comfortable and at ease. The session when by in a fun blur! I gave her a bunch of poses I looked up online and printed out. She made sure to work those poses into our session. 2 months later she sent us a link to download our pictures. She gave us 2 sets of pictures: 1 set is high-res for printing and the other set is for internet us (lower res for faster uploading). I was astounded by the pictures!!! I always, always manage to take weird pictures, awkward angles, weird faces, etc. My biggest fear was that this would be just like all the other pictures I've taken in the past. I was WRONG! These pictures were gorgeous! I'm no Elizabeth Taylor but I felt beautiful in these pictures. It was the best version of me that I could have imagined.
