We were happily surprised at the cleanliness of the exterior of the truck stop, the inside store, and especially with the Dennys, since the last time we were here (2yrs ago). I'd left an honest, accurate (and even scathing) review for that time. BUT, it's been long a while. Even though we'd tried coming back a few times over the years, it hadn't changed. BUT...We'd decided to see if they had made any changes, since the last post, 2yrs ago. Things have been cleaned up, it's much safer than our last visit and the staff in the Dennys were a complete turn around. Though we can't tell you about shower areas, we can tell you about what we'd experienced THIS time. The restaurant was clean. The servers were prompt, friendly, courteous and attentive. The food was good and they were very happy to offer to correct the overcooked fried eggs! Unfortunately, they are still short staffed. You can't park to rest. They tow my trailer for leaving it for 30 minutes to go change a tire and when I return they charge me $400 to give it to me. I realize that it's a scam of the same people who work in the place. I return to rest and at 11:00 pm they wake me up that I can't rest there because they don't want to and another truck driver comes and sneaks money to the security so that they take me out of my parking lot to give it to him. Horrible service I purchased 6 drinks and two breakfast sandwiches the breakfast sandwiches were handed from employee from behind register because they were in front warmer both were purchased at 6:25 only after leaving and opening did I realize they were both like rocks and had a sell by 4:30 only the label.. This is by far the worst truck stop I've ever been to. The showers are a complete disaster -- waiting 2-3 hours every time. The screen is frozen on the same numbers and never updates, so you just stand there not knowing if your turn is coming or not. Zero organization, and the staff doesn't seem to care at all. For drivers, it's nothing but wasted time and frustration. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better options. read more

First the Dennys was way not worth the $18 Hamburger bun was soggy and patty was just in pieces. Got 3 onion rings with a to go order. My main concern is the Fire Line, truck drivers who are parking cannot get into spots safely or at all if Flying J refuses to follow Aurora Fire Codes. Allowing drivers to blatantly park and shut down in fire line no parking areas. Signs are posted but no one does anything. So I have taken it upon myself to notify the City of Aurora Fire Rescue division that does the periodic inspections. Try to find somewhere else to go for propane and RV dump. This place is way too busy on Tuesday around 10AM. Waited a long time, 30 minutes or more for propane. A car was parked in front of the RV dump and had to go on wrong side, hose barely reached. Super loud semi trucks in long lines and crowded. MADHOUSE!!! read more

We accidentally came here because we were looking for a Dunkin' the first time around -- What we found out is the Dunkin' is basically Dunkin' labeled products that are available for self-serving. Total bait and switch but that doesn't impact the review. Just wanted to make that statement. The coffee here is good. I will give them that. There's two machine that has several different options for coffee such as dark blend and some specialty coffee from another country. Plenty to sugar, creamer, ice or really anything you would want to add to your coffee. Heck you could brew Pilot coffee and use the Dunkin' flavoring, etc. The bad is that the line gets pretty long. I mean back of the building long. Probably not the cashier's fault because the lady that was trying to use mobile pay couldn't even unlock their own phone. That was our first stop here in the morning. The reason for the second stop was because I saw fried wings when I was walking out and it looked delicious. Figured we could stop here on the way back for a couple wings and a case of beer on the way back to the Hotel from our excursion. When we came back during dinner time. The line was still backed all the way up. I looked for beer. They don't sell beer here. I stood by the hot food area but there was no one manning that station. I saw that the wings were 8.95 for 5 pieces so I left completely empty handed. read more

This is the worst flying J I have ever been to in my entire life hands-down. It was not well stocked at all. All the people looked like they were homeless or had been beat up, were junkies, druggies, drunks etc. Nothing wrong with it just letting other people know. I had no problems with anyone. After parking my truck and trailor blind side in. A very difficult spot that took a good 30 minutes , a guard claims the parking is reserved l. Clerly there is not painting on the ground nor is there any cement poles that indicated it. Just stopped in for propane and gas. Shouldn't have taken over 30 mins but it did. When we went in to ask about propane we were told they were out. We pulled forward for gas. Manager Daryl came out and apologized. He said someone inside was being lazy and they did have propane. Daryl was incredibly nice. He helped us the rest of the time we were there. He even said go in and get coffee or sodas on me. We didn't. So much time at this gas station put us behind schedule. Takes awhile to get gas in an RV. I will not return to this gas station. But I have to say Daryl is a Superstar employee. He really tried to make it right. read more

This is a convenient location, but is one of the worst flying J's ever. I arrived at about 11:00 AM. The reserve parking is mostly near the pumps. I was early enough to find parking... 5 hrs later, however, a guy in a golf cart drove up and asked me if I had a parking receipt. I told him the parking where I am at is not marked ... He said that they hadn't marked it yet but it was strange it was on a Sunday. There was nothing anywhere saying that the parking was iwas not free. I offered to buy a space but he said they've all been taken At any rate the Bath rooms are always filthy. Paper is everywhere. ... It seems that this place attracts angry drivers or no one picks up paper there. They just don't have enough help and it's very busy The people working in the store are always very friendly. The restaurant there serves good food ... the waitresses are overworked but very nice. But the security is often rude and hostile. I wants heard some employees talking among themselves about how Drivers were a bunch of morons. Drivers are like anyone else they respond to kindness and courtesy and if they're in a hostile place it seems to make them a little bit hostile I don't mind reserving a space ... but i was in a space that was not marked. The guy in the golf court was polite enough but I found them incredibly annoying. It's very bothersome to park there and get home at a time when there's no place anywhere else ... so I have to move because all the reservations are already taken and the parking space was not marked. This place has very low ratings for a reason. I would avoid it for a while at least until they improve. read more

Super busy place, usually parking is packed. Difficult back in, narrow lanes in parking area. When this place is busy, it's filthy in the restroom area. Staff poor attitude, they project "I don't care" attitude. Wanted a cup of coffee, no small or medium cups available. I used a large cup (no lid available), filled it halfway. Security is rude and unnecessarily aggressive. I am 39 weeks pregnant and traveling in the truck with my husband. We went in at midnight for a shower, the first one we've been able to get in a week. We weren't even in there for 2 hours, when security banged on the door like a damn swat team and literally told us to pack our shit and get out. Keep in mind there was no one waiting for a shower, and most of them were empty. If it was busy I could understand, but even then common courtesy and manners go a long way. When my husband addressed the guard's behavior him and two of the cashiers responded rudely and aggressively cursing at us and yelling at us for no good reason. They told us "to get the fuck out of their store". I hope you three assholes get fired. If you can't be polite and civil you have absolutely no right working in a position of customer service. read more

They chased me out of the semi parking telling me to go to the attached Denny's parking lot. I was fast asleep when they knocked on my door and told me I needed to get a reserve tag to stay overnight. I went in to get it and at the end of the (long) process they FINALLY told me it would cost me $15.00. Guess what Flying J, you got my $15.00 but you've lost the HUNDREDS of dollars I spend on gas and such at your places when I'm on the road. I'll never fill up at a Flying J or Pilot again! read more

This has to be one of the cleanest and nice Flying J I had been too. They have a lounge for watching moving and relaxing along with private showers and bathrooms for a fee. This place is definitely made to accommodate truck drivers with plenty of parking. read more

Not the best truck stop but you really don't have many options in the Metro Denver area and the truck Parking lot fills up fast so you have to get in real early and the lines for a showers can be a long wait especially in the evening hours during the week of summer season. read more

We visited on Sunday, our usual stop, the six of us to have a sub sandwich, fountain drinks, and two boxes of Cinnabon rolls. However, when I went to purchase three little packaged cheeses for $2.79 I was told I needed to pay three dollars because they did not have change. I needed to pay with the exact amount of $2.79 or I was to give them my three dollars and they would keep the extra money. My husband pulled out a quarter and a penny and said he could pay $2.26 but the girls in red uniforms said no they could not do that. So you're Flippin ready and willing to screw the customer over when in fact this problem isYour problem not ours. We easily drop a minimum of $50 per weekend at your place and we will never visit or shop there again. Your criminals! Sham on you! A little sidenote is that we paid for our subs sandwiches with cash and they gave us change then we paid for the fountain drinks and they gave us change and when we paid for the Cinnamon rolls it was priced at an even dollar. This store #619 is always full, a lot of accidents, the parking spots are tight and 60% of the reserve parking spots are not marked so what happens is that at night time you have a Hillbilly driving around the parking lot in a truck with a badge around his neck acting like if he were Sunny Crockett from Miami Vice, I witnessed him waking up truck drivers that were parked on unmarked reserve parking spots without any remorse he told them to leave and what baffles my mind is that management instead of fixing the parking lot getting it painted then that way there won't be no misunderstanding, it's much easier for management to have Sunny Crockett kick the truck drivers off the property because they have so many customers anyway so it really doesn't matter to them. After what I saw at this store in the parking lot I knew right there and then that this would be the last time I came to this dump, no way no how, keep on driving it's not worth it. read more

Cashier and food court employees here are not motivated to work. The have attitude from what I experienced. As I was trying to get a slice of pizza one tending a line of other shoppers is just looking at me mumbling to two others that were just standing there. They saw me but just kept telling amongst them selves. So I decided to go to McDonald's across the street. As I walked by the mumbler she said I was going to help you once I was done with thus customer as there where still 3 more behind him. This review will be mainly for truck drivers. From my experience and reading other reviews, be aware of the security guard(s) that they hire at this specific location. Our company uses Flying J/Pilot 95% of the time for fueling. This location in particular grants their security guard(s) the power to kick you off their parking lot. The parking arrangements at this location is famous for being congested and unsafe. Their reserve parking is not clearly marked reserved. So I (thought) I was parked in a nonreserved spot as I saw no sign displaying reserved and it was far away from the main entrance of the building. Later that evening, a security guard approached my truck and stated, this is a reserved spot, do I have a parking permit? I stated that there is nothing displaying that I am in a reserved spot. He takes a photo to show me. In the photo, the markings are so faded, you barely can see it. I would be more than delighted to pay for the parking spot, but all was sold out. The security guard suggest that I drive off the lot and park in an off-site location. Unfortunately, I couldn't do that because I had no hours to drive the truck. So the security guard basically said if I don't he will contact the highway patrol and have me removed from the parking lot. This security guard stated that this was (his) property. Once again, I explained to the security guard that I am unable to move the truck at this time. Later that night, he notified local authorities and they said I had to leave the parking lot because the security guard said I was being disrespectful?? He told the officer that I had stepped out of the truck and approached him. Not once did I step outside of the truck. Not once did I step outside the truck even when the officer was there. The security guard clearly lied. So be aware that this could happen to you as it happened to me and other drivers as well. There are several different truck stops that aren't as congested and unorganized. The security guard(s) are on a power trip and given way too much authority and will call the cops on you just because they (feel) disrespected. I know management won't do anything about it, but this is my experience and actually this kind of practice and behavior shouldn't be tolerated. Choose somewhere other than this location. read more

This place has RV dumping with a water source, diesel gas and propane. You can take a shower, do your laundry and watch a movie in their mini theater. It is a busy place, but it serves so many needs, why wouldn't it be? The cashiers were friendly and the guy in the golf cart offered assistance. RV DUMP STATION IS A JOKE!! I came here to dump my RV tanks and paid $7.50 only to find the rinse water was shut off. I went back in to get a refund and the clerk explain the city of Aurora makes them shut off the water, sounds like total BS. Even so they should tell the customer there is no rise water before taking payment for the dump to avoid disappointment. Also, the other equipment at the dump station looked beat up and some of it did not even work properly... get it together people. read more

Darryl, the little boy that has the really tough job of propane refills called me a fucktard... why? Because I was waiting in line to get my propane filled in my rv so my little girl and myself could have heat(it was snowing pretty good outside) and when it was my turn he started filling someone else... I pulled up and he told me I had to move so I explained to him that I was next in line and he said well you weren't staged for it... but I was, they had the rv fuel station roped off so I was staged the best I could and when I tried to explain this to him he lost it and said bye I'm not filling you goodbye and then called me a fucktard.. now, I've only been running my own business for 2 yrs now so I'm Pretty new at it, but if I had an employee treat any of my customers like he treated me I would fire his ass. There is absolutely no excuse for this. I went inside to speak to the manager and let him/her know about this immature employees actions and when I explained it to him he went to talk to Darryl and then came back to me and told me that he's not Daryl's boss and can't do anything about it... wow... like wow really... I truly can't believe that this man gets away with this type of behavior. Unreal. I would fire his ass, and I don't feel that an apology is enough at this point... because he thought he was so big and cool treating a customer like this in front of the boys that he was standing with... truly unbelievable. read more

I used to come here all the time to get a large mega meat pizza, they were THE BEST pizza! It was always ready within 15 mins, BUT the last 3-4 times I have went to pick up my pizza they never even started my order (and I always arrive a littler then 15 mins to give them more time) and I always end up waiting at least 45 mins! They gave me a discount once for having to wait which I was ok with then but we went again yesterday and when I called to order they said it would be ready in 15 mins I ended up getting there 30 mins later and guess what, they never put my pizza in AGAIN! And no sorry or a discount. The pizza is not the same anymore I guess they changed their recipe but it's not even good now. I ended up waiting an HOUR for my pizza last night and it wasn't even good. This truck stop needs an overhaul! There were obvious plumbing problems, no showers and the laundry room is a joke. Half the washers/dryers do not work or just take your money. The bathrooms were not clean and parking is nightmare, not nearly enough spaces for trucks. Avoid this place! read more

The worst experience at a truck stop I have ever had. The Pilot app had a malfunction causing my parking reservation to not show up in their system. I had no idea of this so it was a surprise when, just as I had fallen asleep for the night, I get a loud knock on the side of my truck. I tried to explain to the security guard that I had made my reservation but he didn't want to hear it. He kept insisting that I move my truck. I tried to explain to him that I was out of hours and couldn't move but he insisted, so I asked him to sign my log book stating that he was forcing me to move. He refused telling me that "if you are so smart you wouldn't be just a stupid truck driver." Now, in my experience, I would assume that someone that works at a TRUCK STOP would know better than to insult their customers, truck drivers. read more

This is not a normal place I review but with the price of gas hovering around $4.00, I thought I would let you know that gas at the Flying J is 11 cents cheaper than most places in town and about 40 cents cheaper than the Conoco station at the rental car return. It is convenient for those of you with rental cars and on your way to the airport to return them as it is an easy on/off I70 and Airport turns into Pena as you head North from the J. You might have to wait in line a few minutes but traffic flows easily. And if you go inside, there is a huge truck stop gift shop of all kinds of junk, like singing bobble head dogs for your back window. read more
