The store is perfectly nice and well-stocked, but it was next to impossible to find the non-diesel gas pumps at night. When you go in the entrance (all the way around the back of the store) you turn left, then there's an unlit driveway on the right over to the front of the store. This seems to be the only way to access the gas pumps. It might be easier to find when there aren't trucks parked there, but tonight it was full up. Extremely confusing and no visible signage pointing you in the right direction. read more

This place is AWFUL! The showers were dirty and the water is cold, the laundry "washed" my clothes without any water so I had to drive 30 miles to rewash and dry my clothes in an 18 wheeler half the place is roped off and shut down and the food cases don't even work and the lights are broken. The cold case has no food and is broken and the subway is permanently shut down. Just drive another 50 miles to another location this place is TERRIBLE!!! read more

By far the worst Flying J/Pilot I've seen. The Subway is permanently closed and the cooler shelves were virtually completely empty of any food and no cooked food available. After seeing the place this is probably a good thing! The entire place, especially the men's bathroom, were disgustingly dirty and smelled horrible. Waited around 30-40 minutes for a shower, yes I needed a shower and was concerned about the cleanliness, and multiple shower rooms were available but needed to be cleaned. No one around to clean. Once in the shower it was surprisingly acceptable. Probably due to being somewhat cleaned after every shower. Unless something changes in the future, highly unlikely from previous similar reviews, I'd say skip this stop. read more

I would highly suggest to stop by this place and try their tramendous coffee. This is an awesome truck stop. He had a lot of parking space for your truck. When I was here the most thing that surprised me was the coffee machine. The coffee was so fresh and delicious that I just couldn't hold my salads from getting another cup of it. They do have a big store inside a truck stop. If you were a trucker and if you would like some coffee, This is the place that you have to visit to refill your cup of coffee. The workers were also very nice and very professional. I like the experience that I had here. The store was very clean and very maintenance. The bathrooms were also very clean and well taken care of.. ohh I almost forgot. This place has a subway right inside the store. read more

This place was messy. All the garbage cans around the gas pumps were filled and un emptied, including the one in front of the building. The bathrooms were messy. They had mold in the sink and has a terrible odor one bathroom had a missing toilet seat from the toilet, very low rating, never come here. read more

Probably the WORST Flying J in the country. The restrooms look and smell horrible. The towels smelllike mold and mildew. The water system is full of chemicals. The only restaurant is permanently closed. Sell it or shut it down and build a loves. read more

Needed to fill up our propane tank and we called the day before and the morning of to be sure they could fill it. They assured us they could and so we added it to our stops and you cannot just stop anywhere with an RV in tow. We got there and some very incompetent teenager at the counter informed us that no one would be in until later that evening who is certified in propane. They should not advertise it unless they can provide the service. Then they suggested we go to the next pilot closer to Minneapolis but of course that one doesn't actually have propane, you would think they would know that if they are going to recommend it. WOW this Flying J needs some attention! Mind you this is the first big truck stop stop outside of the Twin Cities going south on I -35! So it tends to get busy, and it was a Sunday afternoon after both a Twins, and Vikings home game in Minneapolis! But when we arrived around 4:15 pm there was no paper towels outside by the gas meeter, no paper towels in the rest rooms, all the garbage binds both outside and in were over flowing with garbage. Just trash everywhere! Prices here are fairly common and maybe they were just understaffed but man it was a very very dirty/busy spot on a Sunday afternoon. read more

Get here early - it fills up quickly and you want to avoid having to park around the humongous light pole obstacle challenge some parking lot engineer thought would be a riot to stick right in the middle of the parking entry. Hellooooooo? Does 73'+ of rolling metal trying to back in a parking spot at tge end of a long day mean anything???? Check out all the scrapes on the concrete barriers they surrounded it with. I've always found the staff here to be friendly though over worked. The pizza is good if there's any available. The reason I don't ever plan to return is because a tank of gas will cost you an unexpected $100 extra thanks to the unreasonably high debit or credit card hold they place on your card with no signs or warning. That can be an unexpected burden for lots of Update- I did come back but only for coffee. Staff is still friendly but the snow and ice isn't being cleared from in front of the entrance doors. If they're not careful they're going to get sued when some falls. read more

The place is relatively convenient, but it can be busy, so you may need to be patient while waiting in line. The bathrooms are clean enough. I do usually buy a drink, a snack ... something here, but it doesn't offer the best prices that I encounter on the road. They do offer some hot food to go that may strike your fancy. read more

I came to the flying J on the weekend expecting to have subway open in or food to eat in the cooler sandwich area and or the deli Area. I get here Subway is closed and there is very little food prepared for truckers. this is a waste of time to come to I would not recommend it. read more

One of the dirtiest flying j's I have ever been to. Trash in the parking lot piles of trash behind the trucks that have obviously been there for a while. No restaurant and the Subway that is here is closed today and it looks like they're doing it a serious clean. My wife who is a manager at a Subway back home told me that usually means they failed inspection and got shutdown. Parking lot has a light Pole in the middle of it that people have to avoid trying to back in-and-out of parking spots. I wont be back. read more

5:45pm- Manager is nice but the other cashier said showers don't open until 10pm. I asked her when does the showers close again and she said they're open all night in a condescending tone, I asked her again, if I came in at 8am to shower will they be open? She then started to look for her phone. I don't get this place. Their phone lines are disconnected as well. Came here with a reserve spot, there was none so I got refunded so that's a plus. (Edit) I finally got to reserve a shower through mobile app after 10pm, waited in line for 2 people in font of me, my app alerted me I was ready for shower 5 with code, went in there within a few minutes and someone else was instructed into that shower so I was instructed to go into shower one but someone else was in there. So then I was told to wait. I asked, did everyone fill the shower rooms within the last 5 minutes? His response was, you'll have to wait til a room fees up. That does not answer my question. The incompetence and the rudeness to allow someone to get into my shower room out from under me makes me mad. This is ridiculous. This store needs to hire employees so showers are available 24/7 and the incompetence needs to be corrected. I spend THOUSANDS of dollars a month pumping over 2,500 gallons a month with flying j to be treated like this is unacceptable. read more

Your standard gas station. Located off the exit for Northfield, it's close by the town and gas is usually similarly priced to the Twin Cities. The station is currently under construction though so half of the pumps are closed and gated off. It makes getting to the pump a little tricky since you either have to back in or maneuver around construction. Only four pumps in operation so I would go here only if you really need to. I did not go inside but the entrance is off to the side and not well lit. So overall, not the best gas station but it gets the job done. read more
