I have been a die hard Flying Pie fan since 1979 and have always recommended them to anyone who is looking for pizza. I was very excited when the Overland location went in near my home. I've tried to overlook the fact that none of your staff ever smiles and most of the time almost act like you are bothering them, just because I love the pizza so much. Fast forward to your new automated ordering system - you must be kidding! At first I thought your phones got hacked, but no, you think this is helping your business . It doesn't work, nobody associated with it can help you. I've given up on Flying Pie completely - your decision to use this system took away your mom & pop, local feel. We had a birthday party here for our 14-yr old grandson and the manager was FANTASTIC! She went out of her way to make sure his birthday party was a success, even offering the freezer for temporary storage of the ice cream we brought. The salad was provided catering style (in a large container), was fresh, and plenty of dressing in separate cups. Pizza was good and hot. Delicious pie as always! Had a great Stromboli breadsticks and beer today when we visited for the first time at this location. The staff (Hannah @ Aspen) took great care of us. Was my favorite pizza joint. The pizza is still great. The service could not be worse. Employees look like they haven't showered in weeks and are slow as molasses. Very slow-witted too. I don't know what happened. Have all the competent people decided they don't need jobs anymore? Sat with family and waited 30 minutes before our order was taken and there was only one other table of two and maybe six people at the bar. Your pizza is fantastic but your delivery via Door Dash is absolute trash. This is the third time that my pizza was delivered cold because the driver was inept. The 1st time the driver delivered the pizza to the wrong address and then tried to give me the same pizza that had been in someone elses home. The 2nd attempt I had to chase the guy down the street after he circled the neighborhood for 15 minutes. The driver went to the wrong restaraunt to pick up the pizza on my third and final try for delivery with you guys. This place sucks! I was excited to try it because I had heard good things. We waited 25 minutes to order and well over an hour to get our pizza. I thought it was weird that a large party who walked in at least 10 minutes after us received their food before we did. When we got our pizza it was stone cold. I'm not saying luke warm, I'm saying stone cold. Clearly, our pizza was done and sitting there long before the large party's food was ready. Couldn't eat it. Should've complained but, of course, no one came to check on us for the next 20 minutes. By that time we were so frustrated we paid the bill and left. I could understand if they were really busy and understaffed. They were neither.Almost 2 full hours of our lives we'll never get back. Never again. This place was gross! I love the pizza here and the cheesy sticks are awesome. We came in on Sunday (5/30/21) night and got two pizzas and some cheesy sticks. They were very understaffed but our server who was also running the register was so sweet! We didn't feel like a burden at all as sometimes happens in an overwhelmed restaurant. Back in the day, Flying Pie would close for a week and take their employees on a vacation, like to Costa Rica to repay them. I ordered a gluten free pizza online. Picked up in person. After just a few bites I knew it wasn't gluten free. I called in and talked to the manager, Joe. He offered to replace the pizza during my next visit. I figured, this sucks, but accidents happen, etc... Then I told him, "please make sure you guys use proper protocols when you receive a gluten free order because I'll be sick for several days after only a few bites." He then asked if I ordered online. I told him yes. He then said, "oh, ok. This has happened a few times today. Somehow when 'gluten free' is ordered it's not coming up that way on our side." So, at this point I get very upset. I told him that it's insanity that the ability to even order online wasn't shut down immediately until this was fixed. I explained to him how sick I'll be for the next several days because of this incompetentcy and how dangerous and even life threatening this could be... He apologized and was very kind about it. He told me he would give my email and phone # to the GM. Absolutely I wanted to talk to him. Because it was New Years eve I waited till the following week to expect a response. Nothing. I hated to have to make a bad review so I gave it another shot. I called the store and asked for the GM's info so I could talk to them. They told me they'd give my info to the store manager and he'd get back to me. I told them I've already talked to him, I wanted the contact info for the GM. She REFUSED to give it to me. So I left my name and # for Joe to return my call. It's been at least a week and I still haven't gotten a call. Over 2 weeks since being told the GM would contact me. If you suffer from a gluten allergy or are celiac then you know how incredibly frustrated I am. I was sick and unable to work for 5 days. Like I said, at first I felt like, no biggie, sucks to be me right now but shit/accidents happen. Until he said it had been happening all day... and now to of received NO communication or a returned call!? The negligence and incompetence is mind blowing. read more
