I went to grab some grasses and Russian sage for my yard and the staff was really helpful and kind. The garden itself is well laid out and well maintained. Parking was plentiful and everyone I interacted with was more than helpful. I even called a month after planting my Russian sage and the staff was helpful in telling me how to care for it. They also have a cool butterfly tent! That was really fun to walk through. It's small but really cool!

There are an abundance of gorgeous house plants and exotics, amazing selection of pots, gifts and classes. The staff is incredible, very nice and helpful. Am impressed with the cleanliness and organization which can be understandably compromised in a nursery. The prices are reasonable which often isn't the norm for these types of specialty shops. Plus they offer repotting which many places don't and they are open Sundays which is a bonus. And it's worth popping in just to visit Sprout, the adorable resident Axolotl!

I thought I killed my last one, but apparently they can go dormant in the winter! No one at the last place I went told me that. That's the best thing about this being a smaller shop, it seems like everyone here knows their stuff! My visit to Westside Nursery was actually a failed attempt at visiting Winchester Nursery. You know…read morewhat's stupid? Winchester is smack in the middle of two spaces for Westside, and even though there are signs everywhere, they only serve to confuse matters more. But never fear, I'm here to provide some much needed clarity! On the East corner is Westside's main nursery space, filled with all the perennials, annuals, a few vegetables and herbs, groundcover, succulents, roses, and most of the smaller plants, though there are some trees and bushes here too (through which a charming stone walkway meanders). A register is located in a small shed-like building, along with garden accessories and fertilizers. Now, if you're seeking a larger variety of bushes and trees, you'll have to exit the nursery, walk past Winchester's chain-link fence and entrance, and then go into the OTHER section for Westside on the West side (hahaha) of this whole strip, where the bulk of these plants are housed. Despite the frustration accorded by their wonky set up, Westside was a really nice lil' nursery! The employees were really great. Every single one I interacted with was just cheery as can be, so helpful, and truly and honestly passionate about gardening. There was one gentleman that was just running around, lugging customer's purchases to their vehicles, and all the while so smiley and kind to everyone. The prices were in line with comparable businesses. Parking is iffy - you pretty much have to grab a spot along the street, and it's dang busy! Just be careful and stay safe. It's worth doing at least once to check out Westside.
