Conveniently close to work for me, great and quick service, and my iphone appears to be in great condition! The woman at the front desk was SO sweet too. The only negative for me was the pricing...my screen and screen protector were cracked with no other issues. A lot of places quoted me around 80$ for screen repair, so I was expecting that price when I brought it to Buckeye Laptop. Unfortunately, it was double the price! My mom has an HP computer that needed some TLC. It was sluggish, and giving wired pop-ups. I did what I could but just did not have the time or equipment to really figure out what may be the issue. After some research we decided on Buckeye laptop. Service was good even before we physically got the laptop to the store. The person on the phone was helpful and pretty straight forward with our options. None of the Big Box gimmicks. The place was small but easy to find (according to my mother) and they were very helpful regarding assisting her getting the unit into the store; parking downtown can be tricky sometimes. It was an easy clean up and no up-sale pressure. If you need your computer fixed I recommend this venue. read more

No one wants to have to use one of these services. My iPad screen shattered after I dropped it, and I looked to one of these third-party services to save some money on the repair. Apple charges $249 for a screen repair, and these services are typically in the $120 range. Ugh. I'm not sure I would have paid the $249 for a legit repair, but I wish my $120 went further at this shop. My repair was delayed due to, allegedly, back-ordered parts, so I missed out on the promised 3-day repair time. My repair was completed in 4-business days, but it spanned a weekend. The shop did give me a $20 discount to account for the late repair, which I appreciated it. What I didn't appreciate was the defects in the repair. My iPad screen now has a noticeable piece of dust in the upper left quadrant, making me think there's always something on the screen. There's also a blemish in the lower right corner. And the home button has lost it's clickiness - it's now mushy and squishy. And there's some new scratches on the back that weren't there before. The pick-up procedure at this shop is this: 1. Clerk hands you a signature page to sign, agreeing that everything's fine with your device. 2. Clerk goes and gets device, hands it to you. 3. You inspect device. 4. You sign, agreeing all is well. 5. Pay and leave. Unfortunately, the lobby of this place is so poorly lit, you can't get a good look at your device. It's lit like the inside of a movie theater during previews. So I didn't notice all these little defects until I returned to my fluorescently lit offcice, too late to demand satisfaction. Ultimately, I've got a functioning, non-shattered iPad back. And while these little defects aren't functionally a big deal, they're annoying, and they're unexpected, and I wouldn't ever recommend someone use this particular shop because of them. read more

This is a review specifically for their 'buy/sell/trade' of used desktops. I can't speak of anything else of their service (as it wasn't what I was there for). I called and spoke to someone asking if they would take a desktop PC. They said that they did and I elaborated on the parts but was told to 'bring it in' before I could get a quote (understandable). The PC as a whole was homemade with a GTX 1080, two SSDs, a 1TB hard drive, monitor etc (All bought new a year ago, retailed at around $1800-$2000 including the keyboard, mouse and monitor I brought with it). I went in not expecting to get current market value but at least around half of what it's worth now (I'm selling it all at once and totally understand they need to make money on it). I was told after an hour and a half they could give me $200 for the whole lot of it. This wasn't just for the graphics card, or the motherboard and CPU (where I'd understand something like that) but for every bit of it. The reason I was told for this price was 'Desktops aren't selling well right now in the market' which is just not the truth at all. I would not recommend bringing in used gear here to sell as it's clearly not a priority of the business. I would have appreciated if the person I spoke to originally asking if they bought used gear would have just said 'We're not looking for desktop gear at the moment' instead of leading me to think otherwise, and drive an hour there (and back) to get a lowball offer. read more

Friendly service. Was great to be able to get phone back within an hour. Had one issue after receiving phone, took it back and they fixed the issue, but took another hour. Be sure to check all phone functionality before leaving store so you don't have to return and have it fixed again. I would certainly recommend using them in the future! read more

We discovered Buckeye Laptop a few years ago. They have fixed several phones for us. In the last two weeks, they fixed a charging port on my iphone 6, and today another iphone 6 needed a new home button. Great price and even better than that, it is just fast. I went to Buckeye Laptop earlier today because a screw in my Mac had come loose and was preventing me from being able to charge my laptop. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and they fixed the issue in under five minutes. Since it wasn't a lengthy repair they didn't even charge me! Their service orientation is very friendly, courteous and professional They diagnosed quickly and recommended an affordable fix (same day!) - and they are extremely understanding of those technically challenged like me. I was pleased to see a local business go into the Lazarus Building and when my wife's laptop wouldn't charge properly, there was my chance. Once I dropped off the computer, it took them a couple days to get back to me with what they found. Luckily it was a simple fix. They were very accomodating honoring a coupon deal I didn't even know about and get the replacement part within a day. Computer works great and I feel I was treated very fair. I hope I don't have another problem, but if I do, I'll be back. read more

Buckeye Laptop did eventually manage to replace the cracked screen on my phone, but the amount of prodding and poking it took from me made it a very bad experience. Overall it took more than three weeks for the fix to happen and involved a bulging screen and a broken speaker thrown into the mix. Even now, the screen doesn't sit properly and protrudes out. Plus on its final return, the phone felt dirty and around the case around the screen looked chipped. Since the repair the phone doesn't seem to be functioning at its full capacity. These problems could have been dealt with in a professional and helpful manner, but instead it took repeated calls and visits in person to find out exactly what the status of the repair was. The sales associate's attitude was confrontation and not pleasant. I would not recommend Buckeye Laptop for any phone repairs. read more

I got iphone screen got fixed for $145+tax. First time, they used defective part. so they changed it without any problem. Second time, there was a scratch circle on the screen, so I asked them to change it and I also spoke with the owner for the sake of inconvenience for some sort of monitory compensation. I was told by the ownner that even they use old or defective part, it is my responsibility to pay the labor each time. So, be careful if you go there. This happened in downtown location. I am living with the defective part. I will never ever go to this facility. read more

I dropped my laptop, shattering the screen and bending the case that holds the screen in place. I first took the laptop to the best buy geek squad, who informed me that the cost to replace the screen would be about the same as a new computer. They also said they would never be able to fix the case, so my laptop wouldn't be able to close. So, the geek squad said that my best option was to buy a new computer. I then stopped by buckeye laptop, and was quoted half the price of the geek squad and they were able to repair the case so the laptop closes! Also, they said it may be a few weeks for the part they ordered to come in, but I think it took less than a week! Overall very satisfied with my experience read more

Absolutely horrible. I took my phone here to get the screen replaced and in the process they broke the speaker. I took it back and they said they fixed it however after a few days it stopped working again. We had moved away right after they "fixed it" so I couldn't go back to get it fixed again. I went to a different place where I moved to get it fixed and the place said the board inside the phone got messed up from the previous repair job which resulted in the speaker and microphone not to work along with causing the battery to inflate. The other place I went said my phone was on the verge of exploding because of all the damage. I called buckeye laptop and they refused to do anything for me. Do not take your products here! read more

My experience was a little different. I dropped off my laptop for clean-up and removal of malware/trojans, etc., and it took more than a week to get it back. It seems that I had to call several times to get updates and figure out next steps. I provided a detailed sheet with my observations of the computer, but on the first return of the computer the same issue was not resolved. This required a second pass and reload of the operating system which took additional time. I was hoping for better service from the begining. read more
