I purchased my car wash at the pump when I filled up my car with gas, but the receipt never printed out, so I had to go into the store to get my receipt. Ugh. When I drove up to the car wash, I realized I could have just paid right there with a credit card. No need to get gas if you just want a car wash. Also, you still have to put your credit card in the gas pump - unless you have the Chevron app. I never like to put my credit card in gas pumps, but I had no other choice. Get with the times - Apple pay should always be an option.

I stopped in here for one reason and one reason only "lottery tickets". I must say this store was very clean and staffed by some exceptionally nice people, no doubt part of the owners family, but as I drove towards the exit I could see the fuel prices here which aren't prominently displayed and impossible to see from the street the price for regular here was $0.20 per gallon higher than the Mobil station across the street which proudly displays their pricing. Don't get me wrong I fully understand the right for a station owner to be competitive or not with their fuel prices but in this situation the location of this station which is directly off the I-4 exit is the most convenient fueling location and the fact the competitor's station is really difficult to access that you'd really have to want to go there because it's a real pain due to the roadway layout. One would assume the close proximity of these two stations would mean their fuel prices are aligned but the fact that you must be at the pumps at this location before you know their pricing is deceptive in my humble opinion and deception doesn't earn you a positive review...shameful!

My sister moved in to the original. We have spent most of our lives in San Sebastian and on the SAME street. I'm telling you all of that because this store has always been a staple in mine and my family's life, so-to-speak, and we are "regulars". Even through the changing of owners, all of them have been wonderful and courteous. If you total is $5.25 & you don't have the 25 cents on you, you can bring it by later or the next day. They will order a specific product (they did this for me on a specific brand of import beer back before I got sober) and they usually have the same deals on soda that other bigger chains have. Plus they also make boiled peanuts (but only the cajun ) and have an icecream freezer with different icecream bars. They also sell different CBD products and herbal products and cigarettes you can't find at the larger chains that are cheaper. The popular brands can SOMETIMES be a bit more expensive but they honor coupons from those vendors and they don't charge you a fee or a minimum to use credit/debit over cash. I live this little store and hope it's there a long time. They are open until 8pm but close early at 6pm on Sundays.

Kevin's corner store has become a local favorite in the Sanford area. There are two buildings here;…read moreKevin's main convenience store, which supplies all of your normal convenience store needs minus gas. Adjacent to the convenience store is Kevin's Liquor store. My wife and I frequent both locations weekly. The store is within walking distance of our home so it is a quick easy spot to grab a snack, drink or cigar for that fun night out on the town. I would say that Kevin's prices are fair market value when compared to other convenience stores in the area. There have been occasions where I have been able to get a bottle of Jim Beam or Makers Mark at a better price than ABC or Walgreens. On a side note, if you love Bud Light Platinum this may be the only place you can find it in a 12 pack or more. I am not sure why 12 packs of Platinum are so rare but if you need it Kevin's almost always has it. The parking lot can be quite active so be prepared to navigate around other people who cannot park, drive in general or just don't know how-to walk-in public. This is part of the reason we like to walk here but I guess that's how it is when your business is located at the intersection of French Ave. and 20th street in Sanford. The staff here are always helpful and friendly. The guy who is usually working in the liquor store is awesome at helping you find what you need at the best price. I feel is a great way to keep customers coming back. If you are visiting Sanford for a fun day/night out, stop in to Kevin's before heading downtown. There is something for everyone here, you might just save some Moolah and enhance your overall experience visiting Sanford.
