I've been away for more than six months and this cafe's improvements have really elevated the Gordon St. John Ave precinct. We came here bright and early at 6am for breakfast. So bonus points for opening this early to cater to workers and people dealing with jet lag. We had muesli, French toast, big pan bf and warm flaky croissant. Every one was presented to us not only nicely but they also tasted great. Muesli was homemade, crunchy, well toasted with a good mix of nuts and dried fruit. The accompanying fresh fruit was of generous proportion too. French toast was made with their own baguette with sides of banana and syrup. Big bf was huge with eggs, 2 sausages, greens, mushrooms, bacon and a side of baguette. Croissant was fresh out of the oven and something to die for! We had 2 skim lattes which were average as it wasn't hot enough for our taste. I would return again and again but the breakfast did cost quite a bit so it will be for special weekends or a treat.

We also feel that the menu is very approachable with everyone's Eggs Benny, Shakshuka, hotcakes, salads and sandwiches to name a few. Being winter, I was Straight into ordering a porridge. It is probably the best I've tried this season. The porridge is a hugely generous serving, made on oat milk with cinnamon, vanilla and topped with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, poached peaches and some granola. I loved this and recommend you order it! They've also got some tasty little treats on the front counter that make a perfect accompaniment with your coffee. Service is efficient and friendly, all the makings of a good cafe.

The cheesecake here is pretty good too. Smooth and not too thick so you don't get sick of it after a few mouthful. I had the linguine pasta with chilli, shrimp and rocket. I personally found it a little too bland for my liking and wish there was more flavor. The dish just somehow lacks a kick. Overall a decent cafe for desserts and meetup :/

The coffee was actually alright- or would have been if my piccolo wasn't more like a 1/2 latte. I guess they wanted to give me my 50c worth of soy milk! The coffees were out on our table in no time & the food followed shortly after, about 15 minutes or so later. The Sonoma Muesli was lovely, the yogurt was nice & creamy but not to sweet & the Muesli was crunchy & golden. Much to my surprise, the yogurt & Muesli rested on a generous portion & variety of fresh fruit that complimented the dish so well. The egg omelette was brilliant as well, filled with ham, cheese, mushroom & tomato & a side of sourdough toast. One of the meals alone would have filled me up but the fact that I had to try two meant that I left completely satisfied! The only issue I think the cafe has to deal with is that it is located on Rocky Point Road that did get quite loud at times, however, if you go at a more appropriate time, I doubt that you will experience so many trucks. Besides that, the cafe is great value for money, the coffee is lovely, the food was delicious & generously portioned and the pricing was very affordable at around $15 - $20 a head for coffee & breakfast. We were in and out with full bellies within 45 minutes - I highly recommend checking this cafe out if you're in the area.
