We happened upon this place and it was a lucky accident. It's very close to the Lübecker Strasse U Bahn station. The owner waited on us very enthusiastically. We all had different hamburgers and basically licked our plates because they were so delicious. The buns seemed like brioche, but I forgot to ask about it before we left. Each came with a side of very good fries, a small salad and hummus. I'm not usually a big fan of hummus, but this was very smooth, almost creamy, with garlic and I enjoyed it. They also have a house made mint lemonade that's really fantastic and a good baklava for desert.
There are only two potential downsides to this place. It's a Halal restaurant, so there don't serve alcohol. We don't feel the need to have a drink with every meal, so that's not a problem for us. Second, they don't have an English language menu and the owner and employees only speak a little bit of a English. However, with Google translate, pointing and knowledge of a few basic German words, we didn't have any trouble.
