I went to Dr Mozen to make sure of that diagnosis since I had started to have symptoms again. He confirmed the diagnosis, told me it wasn't a bad case, and told me that I needed to renew the inserts every six months. She had to be taken to the ER, which was a horrible experience. They basically told her to splint her leg and ice it. Couldn't say anything else. So we made an appointment here soon afterwards. Within the first few minutes of having her in one of the rooms, Jessica figured out that she has an MCL tear, and possibly a meniscus tear or ACL tear (pending MRI confirmation). We got an MRI at another facility that they made an appointment for, and now we are just waiting to hear the results of that. Update: We got the MRI results and her ACL is torn! So she needs surgery. The Core Institute is also helping us out with this, as well as helping fit my wife for a better brace to be used post-surgery.
