SCAM ALERT! $$$$. I went in for a new pair of orthotics, and of course, he wanted to sell me 2 pairs which maybe I do need for different types of shoes. Not sure why, but they took X-rays of my feet only to see I had some swelling which I feel was blown out of proportion. He did not seem to listen to me that I did not have foot pain all the time, he mumbled constantly and went from patient to patient wearing the same gloves. I did other tests and walked over a platform to see where I have pressure and how high my arches are. He told me I have plantar fasciitis, I'm positive I do not, but I think he diagnoses everyone it. At the second appointment they scanned my feet, and even though I did not feel I needed a steroid injection, he gave me one anyway. One shot was fine, but the other hurt badly and my feet were numb for hours. He also gave me plantar fasciitis braces for my feet which I doubt I needed. Not sure yet who covered the cost of the braces and arch support bands he gave me. I was told to wear them while sleeping, then he said I only have to wear them for 20 minutes. So 8 hrs vs. 20 minutes?- quite the discrepancy. He also gave me a prescription for Voltaren for arthritis, which I do not have. The orthotics I got are great, but I agree that he's out to make as much money as he can. I think even the women who work for him knows he provides unnecessary procedures. I've been wearing orthotics since I was 19, and I'm now 47. I've never had X-rays and I've never gone through so many tests just to get new orthotics. I usually only have one appointment, but with him, it was 3. Usually they have me step in foam, scan or cast my feet. Orthotics are supposed to cost between $400 and $600, and I did not know until the appointment was over that I had to pay $1,920 for everything! The "starter" orthotics are $565 and the "final" orthotics are $985. I have NEVER heard of starter and final orthotics. He's a snake oil salesman and is only out to get as much money from you as he possibly can. I regret going to him and I got screwed out of more than $1,000! After a very rushed examination and x-rays for pain in the ball of my foot, the doctor recommended an expensive orthotic and the possibility of getting a steroid shot on my next visit. I sought a second opinion and learned that I had a fracture in the location of the pain and am now wearing a boot for a month. Not just money hungry but incompetent to boot! read more

I visited for the first time this past week and won't be returning. I waited in a small waiting room full of people for 40 minutes before I was led to a room. It's clear that nothing has been updated in a long time, the chairs, devices, etc. He came in, never introduced himself, spent about thirty seconds looking at my feet and announced I needed x-rays. He didn't take any time to talk to me about my experience, what brought me in, my pain levels- nothing! After realizing I could do x-rays for other medical reasons, he told me to walk on a platform to see where I put pressure when I walk, but I already knew that. Honestly, it sounds like he is just trying to bill insurance for as many things as he can. Ultimately he didn't rally do anything for me but still asked to see me a week later? I don't know why anything would change if we didn't do anything to make a difference. Again, just sounds like a ploy for billing insurance companies as much as possible. read more

Do not recommend. I had a $5 co-pay for the treatment, paid it at the time of treatment, and yet months after the fact they continue to pester me about this $5 I supposedly am behind on paying them. Let me start by saying - I have never left a review for someone in my life, I made this account just to post this. Do not go to Dr. Lukoff. He is a scam artist. He saw me for maybe 5 minutes, did not ask me questions, did not let me ask questions, did not explain what my condition was caused from or what could be done to help besides telling me I needed custom made orthotics. He then ordered X Rays and left. Then, he came back in, stood over my shoulder, told me I needed custom orthotics and handed me a piece of paper that said they cost 1,800 dollars. I felt so uncomfortable and so pressured, a doctor using their power to pressure someone into making a snap decision about buying 1,800 dollars worth of products is predatory. I told him I needed to think about it and he continued to pressure me. I have since called 3 different podiatrists and they have all confirmed that custom made orthotics should cost only around $400-$600. (The second podiatrist I saw confirmed that I should start with over the counter orthotics, stretching, anti inflammatory and icing and then possibly move onto to custom orthotics if I did not improve.) Do not see Dr. Lukoff, got to a different podiatrist, do not pay 1,800 for orthotics, you can get custom made orthotics for a fourth the cost. If you do see him, follow up with your insurance to see an itemized bill of what he actually charged you for. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Dr. Lukoff is in it to take your money. He not only overcharged me and then charged me again for a follow up but I came in for a routine ingrown removal and my toe nail has now fallen off because it was completely dead. I have had several removed in the past and had no issues. He was rough in handling my toes and again caused my nail to fall completely off. AVOID him and this practice. read more

I got my life back! After dealing with acute Plantar Fasciitis for months and receiving mediocre treatment from another podiatrist, I was referred to Dr. Lukoff by a friend. With careful step by step (progressive) treatment I have regained my ability to walk and run without severer pain. Treatment is a process and it takes time, and yes money. But I can once again play softball, my passion. I'm 76 and I felt like I was 76 when I came for my first visit. Now, I'm still 76, but feel like my old self, energetic and vital. Dr Lukoff and his staff are amazing. I have been to countless doctors, osteopaths, physical therapists and podiatrists and have been in pain for over 15 years with Plantar Fasciitis and weak ankles. I've been a patient of Dr Lukoff for over 16 years. Back then I changed jobs and took a job that required me to be on my feet all day. With all the walking and standing I had to do my feet and back were killing me. I went to Dr Lukoff for a consultation and he suggested custom orthotics. For the past 3 months I've been in constant pain and not able to walk bc of plantar fasciitis. No one was able to help me until I found Dr. Lukoff. Scam artist. Find another doctor somewhere else. Told me i needed this for $2,300. Then when that didn't work i all of a sudden needed this thing for $1200. One star is too good for this "doctor" after never goig to a podiatrist I can say I have no interest im fixing my problem. The only time I went was some time ago went I was waiting to be called the Doctor came out of the room with dirty gloves on he was touching everything at the desk that his staff were toucjing ungloved. He then called me had the same gloves on qith my chart in his hands. When I went in the room I had to ask him to change his gloves. He then had the nerve to ask me if I was a germ a phobe. I should habe left right then and there. But I stayed what a mistake. He used tools that were in a draw and not wrapped. I went in with one toe effected I know have 5 toes effected. I have 27 years in medicine myself and I highly recommend you stay far far away from this guy especially those who are diabetics. This guy is nasty dirty gross and cross contaminates. Finally! Relief from my toe nail fungus, just in time for a family wedding. I tried the laser treatment about 4 years ago but came back, as the fungus was still there. I AM SO GLAD I DID. The laser machine has improved dramatically (no longer gets super HOT) and combined with a low dose prescription he has cured my problem. Dr. Lukoff cares, asks questions and suggests exercises (plantar fasciititis) and treatments. He fitted me for orthotics and they have allowed me to get back to my normal exercise regimen. Let me premise this by saying I have never taken the time to write a review. I have never met a doctor so hell bent on selling me anything and everything necessary or otherwise. If I didnt agree to pay thousands for one thing, he told me I needed thousands of dollars for something completely different. If it wasn't so shockingly rediculous I might have been disgusted. He threw brochures at me and had some woman come in to collect my money that we had not agreed on. He literally handed me my wallet and asked for a credit card. I waited and waited and waited. The doctor finally came back in while still chewing lunch to tell me I had to do a test and buy some medicine. This guy needs to work on his demeanor. I honestly have never had a problem with this doctor before, I am treated like family whenever I come in. When I call they even recognize me over the phone and they always take care of my needs efficiently and respectfully. I have been coming here for over a year and a half and have suffered through 3 ingrown toenails (each a different place, no repeats), and every time I am taken care of to the best of their abilities. Even if I have to come in right away they always make time for me. I also suffer from plantar fasciitis as well, and I am both a waitress and a pharmacy intern so I spend a lot of time on my feet. This place has accommodated me with 2 custom made orthotic inserts, and if I have a complaint with how they feel it is taken care of right away. Everything I need is taken seriously, and as I am always on my feet the cortisone treatments are painful when it is administered with the shot so they give it to me another way so it is better suited to me. I would recommend this place to anyone who would listen, they are wonderful. Never had a problem! read more

This guy is a freak show. He has a supposedly proprietary laser that treats 99% of toenail fungus. If there were any other doctor out there who did the same thing, I'd go elsewhere. It cost over $1300 to treat my toenails, and the fungus came back. He spends a hot minute filing nails half-hazardly, while mumbling stuff at you. Then a 20 something comes in to laser your nails. Their training consisted of a 15 minute lesson by him. The are not a nurses aid, or even medical assistant. I believe that most of the cure comes from the in home twice a day home care of all sorts of creams and scrubs you get at your first visit. The laser part is probably not even what cures it- it's the heat. Clearly I have no faith in this guy. He's all about the cash-ola. Try heating up your nails once a week and filing off fungus, and using over the counter stuff.May have luck- and waaay cheaper. read more

Have several issues with my feet and this was one of the best podiatrists that I have ever been to. The office personal were very helpful and put me at ease. The doctor was extremely informative and there were a couple of check ups to make sure that the orthotics were doing their job. A very pleasant experience and will be using him again in the future. read more
