I have to admit, I did not actually come here for sports equipment, but to return some U-Haul supplies that I had left over from an out-of-state move. It was late, I was in a hurry, and it turned out that the location I had purchased them from had done something very wrong when selling me the supplies. Elsi was a champ; she took down my information and promised me she would contact me after the weekend to issue the refund. I had to trust her; I had a flight to catch. She called Monday morning and settled the issue, even though it required escalation and follow-up with her superiors. It is very rare for me to see such integrity and dedication today, much less from someone who had virtually nothing to gain from doing it. Even though I didn't purchase any merchandise from their fully-stocked, exquisitely organised store, I can vouch for the character and ethic of the staff. I fully recommend that you check out the store; I believe that they will pleasantly surprise you with their products, and I promise that their customer service will be everything you could hope for. I purchased $170.00 from the fragrance DEPT. The next day I remembered I had a 20% off coupon so I went back. I was told the coupon can't be used for fragrances. Look very closely at the coupon picture and it doesn't say that,neither on the front or back. What's so bad about it is it's says regular or sales purchases. However the fine print says normal exclusions apply. If the fragrances are excluded why was I given a coupon with my receipt from the frangrance cashier in the fragrance DEPT. She knew I couldn't use the coupon in her DEPT. So why not tell me that, be honest or tell me it's good in "other" dept's. A rip off to get you to come back another day, buy some more fragrances only to be told the coupon is no good in that DEPT. Belk you fooled me once you will not fool us twice. SHAME ON YOU

Next, in order to get promotion discount (40% off) I have to download a coupon from Belk app onto my phone and use my credit/rewards card as well. I had in hand a $50.00 gift card that wasn't able to be redeemed towards this purchase. Too many tricks and turns. I'm done with Belk.

The associates are really friendly and courteous and will actually check on you to make sure you don't need help with anything. The shelves are well stocked, and there's always something on clearance for those savvy shoppers out there. The lines are never too long as they have more than one cash register open.
