I go to this place because I enjoy the massage roulette that takes place every time I go. Sometimes you get someone who is really good and does trigger point massage. Sometimes you get someone who randomly rubs your face for 10 minutes. Occasionally they will walk away in the middle of your massage. Sometimes they come back. I love foot massages, so we decided to make this a birthday outing for a friend. I made an appointment for 4 people for foot massages in the afternoon. When we got there, there was ONE person, and as he got us set up another person came out. TWO people for four of us. That means instead of a 1-hour excursion, we were there for TWO HOURS. (This wasn't the main guy's fault, he frantically tried to contact the people who were supposed to be there, I guess the others are flaky.) The main guy was very nice, gave us water, got us seated in comfortable spots, although... we couldn't all sit together and chat, even though there are 4 chairs in the back room, he said it was crowded to work in. But then he was the only one working back there anyway. So I understand, but I don't understand. Once the woman finished up she did not help out with the remaining people. I don't know why. There were NO OTHER clients the whole time. Then when we were paying (cash, extra fee for credit card), they had the audacity to remind us to leave a tip also. I'm afraid we left much too generous a tip as we tried to finish up quickly to get to our next event. The massage itself was pleasant, although actually short. I would say maybe 30 minutes of actual foot massage. It was nice to have a little bit of time on shoulders but I was sad not to have longer on my feet. Also at the very end they have you move to sit facedown on a massage table for a kind of all-body massage, very short, kind of a nice idea... but the table did not have a real head thing, so you stick your face in a towel+pillow combo. What a joke. 9 months pregnant so I walk in at 10:10 (open at 10) hoping to be seen. I stand there for at least 5 min, surprised I can hear talking but they didn't seem to hear the 800 bells that tinkled on the door when I walked in. Finally poke my head around the corner and the girl looks annoyed that I saw her. She says "oh hello, you want massage?" I say, "yes I was hoping for a foot massage" She says, "ok my friend be here at 11." Me, "oh darn, I don't think I can wait 45 minutes." Her, "ok sorry." And she simply walks away. There are ZERO customers in there. So my question is, why were they open if they have no one to provide services till an hour later? Not to mention she didn't bother any customer service by simply taking the time to ask if I'd like to make an appointment for another time? Sad to say the bad reviews are very accurate. Terribly uncomfortable massage. Rubbing/creating friction is not the same as a massage. Guy that did my massage had no skill, no awareness of anatomy, no professionalism. Answered his phone and talked to somebody on speaker phone for 5 minutes in the middle of my massage. I would not recommend this place at all. Came out feeling worse than when I showed up. What we received from this business is pretty much what we expected. It only had three stars on Yelp and only 4 reviews so far so I wasn't expecting much. The prices were OK: $30.00 for 30 min feet/legs/shoulders/arms/head $40.00 for 60 min feet/legs/shoulders/arms/head $40.00 for 30 min full body $60.00 for 60 min full body The "menu" was hand-written with a highlighter marker on a piece of printer paper and taped to one of the doors, which looks unprofessional and makes it seem like they could change it or do change their pricing whenever the mood strikes. The massage was just OK, nothing special at all. I am a trained massage therapist, so I am hyper aware when it comes to massage. The pressure was not consistent, the attention to the job "at hand" was awkward and unbalanced, as if she was distracted. It also seemed rushed at times, she spent 10 minutes on one leg, then seemed to rush through the next one. If I had an actual timer running, it would have been short by about 12 minutes (48 min. massage, but paid for 60 minutes). I do prefer to support small-business so I might give it one more try, but first: 1. Make an appointment, so they may be prepared and bring their "A" game. 2. Bring cash to avoid hefty credit/debit charges. 3. Be prepared to "haggle" about how much YOU decide to give as a tip. 20% of the service price is apparently not enough. So, stand your ground, and tip according to the quality of service you receive. read more

I've now been here twice. It's $40 for one hour. They totally relax you! They put your feet in a tub that is hot and begin massaging your head. I love scalp massages!! It's so relaxing to have your scalp massaged. Then they Move on to your neck and shoulder and arms. This is probably my favorite part. Then after that they massage your feet. If you haven't had reflexology done before then Be prepared it doesn't always feel good. Think about it how often do you have your feet rubbed? Feet build up calcium and other things that create knots In your feet. Reflexology also has to do with the rest of your body too so by getting this done you help your other organs be healthier. Update- it seems that the previous owners and/ or the employees have been replaced. I came in was surprised that my massage was scheduled with this guy as he sounded like a woman on the phone. After asking him if the lady who I had the massage with (2 years ago) still works there, he had no clue who I was talking about. This guy did not understand a word English but kept trying to communicate with me. The foot massage was horrible. He started with patting and rubbing my face in a very random and strange fashion. And proceeded to the same with my shoulders. I have a hard time believing this guy is a certified massage therapist. I should have just gotten up and left. Very awkward, uncomfortable and strange experience. When charging my credit card he kept insisting I leave him a certain amount of tip. Which my stupid ass did. Such a great experience! They soak your feet in warm water and then give you a scalp and neck massage! Who hates that right? It felt so good! And then they work out the knots that are in your feet. Recommended by a friend of mine and decided to give this place a try. I was very pleased by my experience. Clean and relaxing atmosphere with soothing music playing. The foot massage was very relaxing and thorough. The lady who gave me foot massage was not very fluent in English but she was very friendly and adjusted pressure perfectly according to my reactions. I had a full body massage. It was not the best massage I've ever gotten. It was the least professional by far. The sheet on the table was not pulled back for me, the massage therapist did not knock when she came in before the massage or after the massage. She left me uncovered with the door open as she went back and forth to get stones. I was on my stomach for the whole time. It was not a complete massage. I didn't think she deserved much of a tip. She was rude and unprofessional and yelled at me to give her 20, whether that was $20 or 20%, I don't know. She certainly didn't deserve it after that mediocre massage and rude behavior. She ran after me and tattled in Chinese to some other therapist giving a foot massage to someone. I will not go back, it is a very poorly run establishment, with non-existent customer service and unskilled therapists. read more

The lady responsible for this store now is horrible. She's always telling me they can't do body massages for more than one person. I think she's just lazy. She knows nothing about customer service and hung up on me! Who does that?! If you can't take a call because you're with a customer, then don't pickup. What's even worse, she hung up on me after she cancelled on me saying other customers were more important and to reschedule. I do not recommend this place at all unless she's gone. It is a $5 off coupon (so no much, and not about the money just principle) and the coupon says it never expires. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I got a 2nd degree friction burn! (I uploaded the pictures!) It was horrible I ended up in the ER with an IV antibiotic! Taylor, the owners daughter told me it was my fault?! This was because the lady didn't use enough lotion and I told her to stop! Apparently, they can only use a certain amount due to the Health Code/Inspection for SL County? She did not understand me! I finally told her "no more..feet please no more neck!" They did not take accountability at all! I went into the store with my lawyers assistant-not suing but wanted my money back! (I should sue though-I have been having problems with my neck ever since!) The owner made the lady that caused the burn give me money....so here is a Chinese citizen that can't speak English giving me her wage cuz the owner would not give me the money! #greedy I also asked them if they could pay half of my medical bills...Taylor told me to email her the bills! I have emailed them 5 times but have yet to hear from them! I will never see a dime! Side note: When I was there with my lawyers assistant we watch as several men enter and leave and I was looking at her like um? I went to the "sister site" in South Jordan and had a bad experience for the 2nd time out of 4 trips there. Two times the full-body massage was very good. But today I booked an appointment and once again, they did not seem prepared for my appointment. I laid on the table for 15 minutes before I got up, got dressed, and walked out the front door. One lady was yelling "wait", but why? 15 minutes over the start time is unacceptable, especially if I'm not told that they are running behind. The other time this happened, I had a 5 pm appointment during the week. I was greeted at 4:55 pm and told it would be a few minutes. When no one came out to tell me anything during my wait, I decided to leave at 5:20 pm. This is not a good way to do business. If you don't have enough staff, then don't book appointments. Two times I wasted my time. I won't be wasting anymore time at the South Jordan Foot Relax Center location. read more
