I've lived in Foothill Ranch 21 years and have tried to continue to go this car wash even though it has changed ownership at least three or four times. Its way more expensive, has terrible customer service and even more importantly when addressing an item to owner who and I think has sold it and bought it back again and again and again has made it even worse than it was ever before! Old man, presumed to be the owner hovers around you and watches your every move. Everytime you pick something up, his face changes like he is calculating his profit margin on it. 9 out of 10 times there is no food and in case you get lucky, the food is just sitting in open bags and not sealed. That's just disgusting. The banks have been implementing the chips on the cards for years but this place not only doesn't have a chip reader, their card reader doesn't even work. The cashier kept asking me to hand her my credit card so she could swap it, invoking magical powers of card swapping which I don't possess. Unless I see a banner on this place saying " under new management " I'll never come here again and encourage my neighbors to do the same and go somewhere else. After reading all of the negative reviews, I decided to go in and have the regular wash, since my car really needed a wash, from dirt, pine needles, etc. I figured I would give them an opportunity since they were close and I didn't feel like driving to a better rated car wash. I received a senior discount, the car was washed as I would want and the staff were friendly. I don't know why so many others had such negative experience. Perhaps they are just too demanding. I believe they were recently bought out (in the past 3-4yrs?). But seriously they need to be bought out (again) & the station revamped. The car wash sucks badly! No attention to detail at all. If they're going to be this type of car wash just get the fully automated with the pressure air dry & the price would be anywhere from $7-$13 & no tips! That would be completely FAIR! The gas pumps OMG??! Don't go anytime before 8am or it literally takes 20 minutes to fill up your tank!?? For some reason they "throttle" the pumps back late at night & early in the morning OR the pumps are super old. The older lady behind the counter no offense but really needs to RETIRE!! Stay away at all costs. The woman working as the cashier is the most unfriendly person I have encountered in a long time. This is the third time I have been here recently and everytime she is the same. She doesn't know prices on drinks if the scanner cant scan them and expects the customer to know or go back and look it up. I asked if I could get cash back and she grumpily said yes with a debit card. I guess I told her $5 and entered $10 on the machine. Her response was you cant do that I need to know the amount. I asked for a 5 and 5 ones and she handed me a $10 dollar bill she refused to give me anything smaller. I said that is really sad because her guys now wont get a tip! I went out and waited for my car, she sent someone out with a 5 and 5 ones. When I gave her the 10 back she grumbled something. The guys will get a good tip because they do a good job and I feel bad they have to work in an environment with someone like her. This used to be the go to car wash but not anymore. My husband and I brought our cars here to have to them washed after putting gas and completing oil changes. Well I had to tell the guy that was cleaning my car 5 times about water spots and bugs that weren't cleaned off my car; my husband and I left as I was driving home I noticed that the inside of my car wasn't touched at all... like seriously!! So my husband and I came back and asked to speak with someone in charge, whom ever the older female is here speaking in another language; starts to be rude and says we aren't giving your money back. I showed her my car and a older gentleman accompanied our conversation and wasn't happy with the condition of my car either, the female told the gentleman to shut the F up! She said they will clean again; but if it's not clean enough they won't do anything about it again. Wow.. what great customer service. She even had the nerve to say if you car wasn't so dirty it would have been easier to clean... excuse me! Shouldn't matter if I went off roading we paid over $100 to have our cars cleaned inside and out with wax and much more and you want to treat me like this, I am A customer. I was a bit hesitant to come here due to the low stars and bad reviews but I decided to take a chance, my car was filthy due to the recent rains and I was in the area. I came on a Thursday morning at 9am with literally only one other car so they were able to spend a little more time on my car and it showed. I purchased the VIP package and also added a waxing package, after about 30 mins my car was done and it looked really good. If I could give 0 stars I would! They do an absolute horrible job "washing" your car. They use dirty rags from other cars to "wash" your car. Who knows when the last time they actually washed their rags are but it messed up the paint on my car because of how much dirt and debris are on the rags from other cars. After witnessing what they used to wash my car with - I asked to speak to someone in charge. I'm not sure if she's the manager or owner but she told me she was both - but I asked her for my $15 back as I was shocked that they do this at their car wash. I am blown away by how rude this woman is. She told me that I got exactly what I paid for and that she wouldn't give me a penny back. I asked her if that is what she thinks customers deserve - a disgusting, dirty, full of debris rag to be wiped all over their car to "wash and clean it" she said she didn't see anything wrong with it and stated once again that I got what I paid for and she wouldn't be handing me any money back. This is another example of change of ownership reduces the quality of service to no appreciation. A standard car wash is 15.00 and they add 4.00 for a SUV! Ok I expected my car to look decently wiped down for that amount, but I had to point out all the areas that they missed! I think the only reason this place is still in business, is that they are the only car wash in Foothill Ranch. I have been to this place off/on over the years, through their different management/ownership changes. It was never a 5 star business. But now, they are the bottom of the barrel. I drive a Ford Transit Connect van for work. Small van. Smaller than a small SUV. They stil charged me an additional $6 on top of the $14.99 basic wash. And for what?!! I've never been so insulted in my whole life! Take my new car to get washed at the Foothill Ranch Chevron Car Wash today, get it home and notice all the side windows and surrounding chrome were covered in spots. I attempted to wipe them off and they wouldn't come off. Additionally, I notice that the bottom of my driver rear view mirror is missing. I go back to the car wash and show this to them thinking they would simply just clean them up and fix the problem. Look for my rear view mirror piece. Nope! First they tell me that it's from sprinklers. Hard water spots. My car is less than a week old & its not parked near sprinklers. Furthermore, how do sprinklers get on both sides of your car?! Not to mention that I got gas this morning and cleaned my windows. None of this was there. It's bad! I would have noticed. They didn't even attempt to look in the bay for my rear view mirror piece that now I have to replace. This POS in the pic accused me of buying the car like this and bringing it in like that and trying to scam him out of fixing it. WHAT?!!!! I repeated it back and he said yeah, when you got the car 14 days ago it was like that. I said what are you talking about. I bought the car a week ago. He said, no 14 days ago like that made it all seems like I was legit scamming him. All I wanted was for them to clean off whatever it was that their machines left deposited on to my car and they turned it around on me. I used to bring my car here about once a week but recently they informed me my car was "too low" to go through the line (note that the car is completely unmodified and the same height thats gone through their line numerous times) and wanted to charge double ($30) to hand wash it. New ownership. Takes forever. Previously, could buy a prepaid card and then just get it punched. Saved a dollar or so for 10 washes. Also had a card for frequent customers. After 10 washes, the next was free. No fine print or anything on the card. Now? They do not honor either. You buy a business, you buy the debt, assets, whatever. One thing to not do the card that gives you a free one after 10 (bad on them tho for not rewarding long term customers), but I have now lost about $70 as I had only used three. And they are adamant. I specifically asked the gentleman to pay attention to the back area where mud, dust, and hair from my dog was but when I was flagged over signaling that my vehicle was finished, I went straight to the back of my SUV to check and saw that they didn't even touch the back! I asked the guy to please wipe it down and he told me "you need to pay for the upgrade" but I paid for the Summit Wash which is the highest wash they had!! Worst car wash ever. They tried to charge us the max up charge for our Odyssey $6 ($3, $4, $5 or $6) because they say we have an extra large Odyssey. I tried to explain to them there is only one size Odyssey and we should not be charged the extra cost as if it is a 15 passenger van. The woman behind the counter is a complete tyrant.
