Kaufman Roofing Contractors, Inc. or as they are known in Northeast Philadelphia - Kaufman Roofing. I am not one to complain, but I feel that I should warn the public about what I perceived to be Kaufman Roofing's lack of business ethics, as well, as their lack of quality workmanship during a roofing job that they did on our row home. M. Kaufman Roofing was contracted to construct two new skylights, as well as a new roof. We have used M. Kaufman Roofing Contractors, Inc. in the past with no problems. They have been in the roofing business for over 30 years. Apparently, we were now dealing with the second generation of M. Kaufman Roofing Contractors, Inc. They were contracted to construct a "top main roof," two new skylights, etc. I reviewed their work and found that they had not completed the project. The following was noted: workmanship was inadequate; did not call prior to showing up for this job; they damaged the eave box for the downspout; they destroyed a screen window with their ladder; they did not completely coat the roof, they damaged the bargeboard and cover which was supposed to be removed during the first job and replaced with new material. They used short screws instead of nails; they left both skylights unlocked; they did not fix the soil pipe between skylights; they damaged the existing party box cover; they did not install flashing to the base of the rear chimney; they did not remove all job related debris and haul it away from the job site. I tried to resolve the problem by calling M. Kaufman Roofing Contractors. Each time I called M. Kaufman Roofing, I was met with extreme verbal abuse. They were rude, nasty, unhelpful, unprofessional, and most definitely lacked ethical business practices. I would never recommend M. Kaufman Roofing Contractors, Inc. for any roofing job. They were dishonest in their dealings and the worst of the roofing contractors. Avoid M. Kaufman Roofing Contractors, Inc. - they are just bad news. I felt that they had clearly misrepresented themselves.

I can't say enough good things about the Job Dave and his crew did…read more we had a very messy concrete driveway with drainage issues as well as it being pitched towards the house creating water in basement. great communication, extremely fair pricing and wonderful crew did a job in 2 days that wouldve taken at least 1-2 weeks minimum with anyone else who bid the job. they were efficient and courteous and the outcome was not only great looking-no more water!!!! Very clean and neat cleanup and respectful to neighboring properties as well.

He was apologetic and said he would fix it. He didn't come for weeks and when I reached out he said he had told an employee to do it and that person never said it wasn't done. He is prompt in his communication, great follow up. He took his time to walk me through the work needed to be done and honestly, told me that the main house roof needed a repair. He was HONEST, it saved me a whole new roof for the main house. The addition which has 6 skylights, required highly skilled roofers to prevent water damage and seal the addition to the main house. I found him and crew to be the best at returning calls and communication. Great honest guy with over 30 years of expertise in the Doylestown area. They went above and beyond! The crew come back because they took down the skylight screens so I could vacuum the screens and returned to put them back up. Went above and beyond in providing outstanding customer service which is becoming a lost art! Rich graciously offered to do that for me. LOOK NO FURTHER THEN BERE'S FOR YOUR CONTRACTING NEEDS! HOMEOWNER BEWARE!! JPS walked off the project and has not returned any of the stolen money!…read more JPS started a covered front porch addition and garage expansion for our family in December 2021. There were issues along the way that we worked through, but in March and April when we started pressing on why things were taking so long (the front porch was supposed to take 3 weeks), they packed up their stuff, took our supplies (limited because they really had not bought what they said they did) and walked off the job on May 17th, 2022 and sent change orders that were never discussed prior to receiving. They said in order to continue work that we would have to agree to the additional $16,000 of change orders, which we were blind-sided with. It is 14 weeks later and they have not returned or been forthcoming with a resolution. We have found many issues with they work that was completed, which was only the partial front porch, such as not following the plans and using a beam that was not structurally sound to save them money, to not attaching the roof to the house properly to not installing the railings to code, and more. So we are left out of tens of thousands of dollars, with a half completed and structurally unsound front porch and no garage expansion. Yet we paid 78% of the original contract and do not even have 50% of the project completed. Taking out the garage we are 131% overpaid on this project Jason and Jamie have proven themselves to be untrustworthy, unethical and criminal in this matter. JPS is a completely disgraceful company who is completely comfortable robbing their customers of tens of thousands of dollars.

RJE Review I can't…read moresay enough about my experience with RJE. I sustained some storm damage back in June 2020 when a tree fell in my backyard pulling down the power lines. The power lines pulled the siding off of the back of my house and caused damage to the roof and interior wall(s). The fallen tree also caused damage to my shed, gate and a chainlink fence. I chose RJE Home Remodelong over another company mainly due to proximity as I had no previous knowledge of them. l feel like I definitely made the right choice under the circumstances. I sat down with Anthony(Estimator) and Chris(Project Manager) after having some initial conversations with Christin(Office Manager). Anthony oversaw the estimates and was very thorough. Surveying my entire house, inside and out from rooftop to the ground. I had some initial delays because of some insurance company red tape but once work started it was smooth sailing. The scope of work was determined, timeline established then the job was executed starting with a new roof. Chris oversaw the actual work. He had great communication, always kept me updated, made great recommendations and everyone always showed up on time and their respective jobs were done with a high degree of skill and in a timely manner. Total job(new roof, new siding, 2 tree removals, paint interior walls and replace chainlink fence) took about a month to complete and I was very happy with the finished product.
