To ok our grandchildren to Monster Jam today and was very disappointed and frustrated how the For Center managed the event. Our tickets stated arrive 30 minutes prior and our out passes started at 10:30am. The doors didn't open until 10:30am and it was a mad dash for the doors didn't open. Took us about 20+ minutes to get into arena. After losing 20+ minutes, they cut off the main driver autograph line and pushed people away. If I were Monster Jam, I would never use this venue again. Small arena for trucks and they couldn't do a lot of their stunts because of space. Will never attend another Monster Jam in this arena and do NOT recommend anyone else spending hard earned money to have the venue mis-manage the logistics. The Ford Center was spacious and easy to access to the venue. Parking was also available close by. Easy to find too. Plenty of modern bathrooms throughout the venue. Good lighting and sound quality/system. We come here for our summer conventions and the staff are friendly and welcoming! read more

Terrible Place! Seats are to close together and rows are to long and you cant get out! Its the WORST place I have ever been

Terrible venue for anything musical. Went to see a musical and the sound was terrible. I'm sure it would have been a great experience if we'd been able to understand a single word sung by the singers. They seemed to have great voices but it was hard to tell with the quality of the sound. I would have expected far better for what my wife and I paid. Would not recommend attending anything of a musical nature at the Ford Center. This is without considering the silliness of having to throw away a pocket knife. I think if the little 2 inch blade and gaggle of tools is safe enough to carry on an airplane, it's safe enough for a musical. All and all a terrible venue. We will not waste our money attending anything there again. read more

The head of the door security, Kim was her name, was the most unprofessional and unpredictable security I've ever experienced. Went to see the thunderbolts with my family while visiting. Wow, I'll definitely never be back no matter who/what is there. Been to a lot of places and seen a lot of bands and NEVER been treated this poorly. Straight trash working the door. read more

What a great venue, one of the best place I have attended a concert. Not sure there is a bad seat in the house. The selection of beverages and food are varied and was almost no line at any stand. Would say the only negative was the merchandise setups they create congestion based on the locations. Stay at the Doubletree any time when attending a concert. We will be back to enjoy the Ford Center. read more

Every thing is good about it but 2 things. The seats where I sat were a bit cramped and hard to get to. And the bathroom is always dirty, the 3 times I've gone there has been a mess in the bathroom. They have great food offerings and the shoes are good too. I really like the monster jam show! read more

What a great facility! They allowed us to use their big locker rooms equipped with lots of locker space and tables and chairs, a full length mirror and 3-4 sinks, bathrooms and showering facilities and more. They even allowed us to use their laundry for part of recovering from our act we did. So grateful! A very cool and large venue that can be adjusted to fit your needs. We were very comfortable performing and getting ready here. Lots of space for backstage and animals and props etc. We will definitely be back next year! read more

DOLLY PARTON!!! Ok, now that I've got that out of my system, The Ford Center. We come into town from Nashville to see Dolly on her new Pure and Simple Tour. Weird, I know, but she wasn't performing in Nashville & Evansville was the closest. Luckily I'm from Owensboro & we got a couple people together to make a night out of it. We arrived about 7:25pm & the show was scheduled to start at 7:30pm. We'd parked down the street before we'd ate at Peep Hole Bar. Therefore I cannot speak about the parking at the center, however there's a lot of street parking near this venue. We were waved into a special entrance that seemed like a bar. The woman said we could enter through there if we already had tickets. I glanced at the prices of the bar, $7-8 for a beer. No. After paying $2.74 for a bourbon & diet at Peep Hole, I decided against a drink at the Ford Center. We had floor seats, so we made our way to the center of the building. We found the arena easily & a woman pointed us in the right direction for our seats. The floor seating are the connected, folding chair kind, but they were padded, which was nice. I didn't feel too crowded next to a stranger, but I did keep my arms folded a lot. During the show, they had people with beer, soda & water around for sales. Four bucks for a water or soda. They had to open the bottle & pour it into a cup. We asked why & the woman said it was at the tours request. I guess maybe they were worried that someone would throw a bottle at Dolly?!? That would've caused a riot no doubt. read more

Never coming to this venue again, security going around grabbing kids by the neck and throwing them around for getting energetic at a metal show. Saw multiple people kicked out for no reason. No reason security should be standing anywhere in the crowd with us. Been to 15 concerts and never seem such a pity full security team. Yikes. And bands see this happening too, they don't like seeing their fans getting unfairly treated, so you'll be sure they won't be coming back to this venue either. Lucky they didn't injure anyone they touched or they'd have a fat lawsuit to explain. read more

I've attending several music concerts here now over the last 2 years and I must say, every time I do I have nothing to complain about! The venue is small enough that even if you get nose-bleed seats it's really not all that bad but when you get good seats, it's really good! Just saw Luke Bryan last night and just like the other shows I've witnessed, the sound was spot on. The acoustics in this place are great! As for parking which can usually be the main complaint in a venue of this size, it's pretty decent even though there is really no designated parking area. There is a lot across the street which isn't large enough for a sold out show but there is plenty of street and lot parking nearby that with a short walk you'll be there in no time! And the cluster $%^ that usually occurs with traffic leaving a show doesn't happen here. You're out within 5-10 minutes, whereat other venues I've been in line upwards of 2 hours to depart!! HUGE bonus! Alcohol and food prices are fairly average for this type of place but that's to be expected. I highly recommend the Ford Center for any concerts you're wanting to see! read more

The security for The Ford Center is horrible. They are rude and inconstant. I was allowed my wallet one week, and it was measured, and not allowed it the next week, it was measured again. They just make rules up as they go along. They need to get their act together!! read more

I Nick Named the Event Center as The Geriatric Center for Events. My Wife and I have Attended a Lot of Toby Keith Concerts From, Philadelphia Pa. , Camden NJ (Twice), Atlantic City NJ and most Recently Battle Creek Mich. so we were sort of Shocked as to the Center and Fans were So Dead. At All the Events we have attended, everyone had Tail Gating Parties going starting in the Early Afternoon. None that we could see at All. The Center Rules are Way to Restrictive be it the Centers Rules or the City's. Out of ALL the Sporting Events, Concerts and Other things we have Attended NO WHERE BUT and the FORD Center are you So LIMITED. You get 1 choice of Beer Brand and even as a 64 year old Man, I had to Stand in Line to get a Wrist Band before I could Purchase 1. Also the FORD Center is the ONLY ONE where they have a No Return Policy if a Smoker wants to step Outside. We pay Money to Attend an EVENT at the Center Yet we're Treated like some 7 year old and Told What we can Drink and Do. The Only Things that Saved the Concert was Toby Keith and the DoubleTree Hotel. I'll be Glad to Return to the Hotel anytime. It's Just a Shame that the FORD Center has to Ruin what was a Good Trip read more

Attended a competition at this venue for a cheer competition and was extremely disappointed in the inconsistency with their policies. The policy clearly stated the bag allowances and what wasn't allowed, long list of various things...no outside food and drinks, fireworks blah blah blah...I get it and know the importance of it, HOWEVER what does it say when you see others carrying bags that are larger than the standard size WALLET I brought in my clear acceptable sized bag? But was advised I would not be admitted with because it was too large?! I was not allowed a camera but saw many with them? I get policies and have zero issues with following them, but I can't bring in my wallet? Welp, no wallet no concession buying.... from what I could add up, for my family your concessions would have profited at least $60.00..... imagine how much profit was not made due to inconsistent policies..... I dread ever having to go into this venue again, Cheer Derby should reconsider this place. It's a joke.... I am giving it 1 star for the nice seats and cup holders. Had I been able to purchase a beverage I would have utilized the holder, but again I couldn't have my wallet...... read more

Attended the Women's Flat Track Derby Association Division One Second Round playoffs. Because of small attendance, many of the specialty food carts weren't open. However, there was coffee available every morning, and there was a grill that prepped the food for service so I enjoyed the grilled chicken, the chicken strips and the Angus burger. All were good. Finding healthy fare was a little difficult, but the veggie wrap had some nice crisp ingredients. The Center staff was "present" when they needed to be, I had no issues during the three days I was there. read more

I wish I could leave a rating of zero stars. We went to a concert here with floor tickets and because someone bumped me during a set and my drink spilled on some people who were close the security threw me and the people that came with me out. Extremely unprofessional and did not even bother to ask me what happened. Just a plain "you're done get out" attitude. Also before this whole incident my credit card number was stolen by someone that works there. I only know because the fraud department called me that quickly. read more

Venue is ok. There always seems to be some newbies there. The curtains to get to sections are kind of odd. The layout of the building is a little odd. Sound was ok a little feedback here and there. It is Evansville and it's the best they've got. Seats are quite a bit on the higher side for some shows and events. read more
