Being from out of town, David Mallette and Shannon Parker helped me do most of the negotiation via email and telephone. They gave me a very fair deal; and (without my requesting), they ran it through maintenance one last time after purchase for a final vehicle check, fresh bath, and full tank of fuel. I am 77 years old, and I have purchased a lot of used vehicles during those years; David and Shannon made this purchase a great experience. Run away, run very far away!!! These people sold a 13 thousand dollar car to my Granddaughter and family. On day 31 the motor went. They told them they should have had a mechanic look at it before they bought it. I guess Ford dealers don't have mechanics. Then they said if they agreed to buy a warranty for 2 years for $200 a month they would see about fixing the car. They took the car to the shop, which sat there for 8 weeks. They kept saying the inspector had to look at it. Do you want to know what happens to a little family with no car in 2 months? They lost their jobs, lost their credit, and were homeless. They lost everything they owned. Did Bill Penny Ford care about this? No, they did not. They offered them a buyback for half of what they paid for it and applied that to the loan. So now they have a big chunk of debt with nothing to show for it. These deadbeats will fix it up and resell it to someone else. Shame on them and shame on Ford. read more

My husband and I were looking for a new SUV before moving to the mountains and our baby arrives. I found a vehicle on autotrader at this dealership. Jasper is 1.25 hrs away so it was a hike for us, but ended up being totally worth it, especially after having a less than good experience at Bessemer Town and Country Ford. I called the dealership, and Shelia answered the phone. I inquired about the vehicle we were interested in. She never gave me false hope on what they could or couldn't do as I wanted my payment in a certain area, but she did promise to try. She did all she could do with the help of her team prior to our arrival. This was great since my husband and I just wasted our entire day at another dealership that made promises they didn't keep and he was incredibly frustrated. My husband got to the dealership about 20 minutes before I did. Shelia personally was cleaning the vehicle and gassed it up for us. We felt welcomed from beginning to end. Tom (I think that was his name), the finance guy, got our payment close to where we wanted. I wanted $375/month, he got it to $392/month. He was personable and funny. The process took a while since there was a thunder and lightning storm that took out the computer system, so this was at no fault of their own (and was still less than Bessemer where there was no storm and we had an appointment). I was expecting all of the upselljng to start in that room as it usually does in my other car buying experiences. We knew we wanted GAP coverage. Nope! The important things were already factored into the $392! I could've opted out of them and lowered my payment, but we already knew the $392 was good so sign us up! Oh, and the free oil changes there are a great perk of buying at this dealership as well! When it comes time to purchase again, I would seriously like to drive down from TN just to give this place our business! read more

I purchased a 2018 Ford Fusion with a little over 12,000 miles on the car on 02/21/2020. The car was still under factory warranty. I drove it for 6 days and broke down on the side of the road. The car had to be towed back to the dealership and has been there since 02/28/2020. I would need a new motor. Little did I know the nightmare was just beginning. I went to the dealership on the 28th and they gave me a loaner car to drive while the work was being done. Apparently, that was their invitation to take as long as they wanted to get the job done. I called after the 1st 2 weeks and nothing had been done. They were waiting on Ford warranty to give them permission to begin the work. I called back again 2 weeks later. It had been a month and still, nothing had been done. They gave me the same excuse. I called Ford warranty immediately after hanging up with the dealership. I spoke with Ms. Regina and she established a case for me. She could not believe the story that I relayed to her on the matter. She said she was escalating the case and to check with the service manager within 2 hours. I called back 2 hours later and supposedly the motor and the other parts had been ordered but due to the Coronavirus, everything was on back order. This turned out to be another lie, because after another week of silence, I decided to contact them again. More of the same. The parts are on backorder. My suspicions got the best of me and I called 2 other Ford dealerships and spoke with their service managers regarding my situation. Two separate dealerships, in 2 separate cities, unknowingly gave me the same answer. They could have my motor and the parts required by the end of the week and my car would be ready the following week. They both stated that there was no shortage of parts and they would have no problems getting the job done. This was on 04/09/2020. After a discussion with a local dealership, they offered to help me tow the vehicle back to their dealership, trade me out of the vehicle so that I would be able to get on with my life, lol, repair the vehicle and so on. I called Jasper Ford on 04/13/2020 and spoke to the tech in the service department. No work had been done to the vehicle because the parts, supposedly still had not come in. I informed him not to touch the vehicle, I was coming to get it on 04/14, as is, and I was taking it to the local dealership to have the repairs done. Upon my arrival on the 14th, I turned in the loaner vehicle and immediately after they had the keys in hand, the tech that I had talked to the previous day, informed me that the coils had been removed from the motor. I asked him what he was telling me. He said it can't be driven. I said, that's fine because I had a tow truck with me. I told him that I was taking my vehicle. The owner of the dealership proceeded to laugh and tell me that, NO, I was not taking my personal property from his location because he had ordered the parts already. Mind you, this has been 6 weeks with nothing done and after I called them to arrange transport of my vehicle. I had to call the local police department about the matter. Upon their arrival, the Jasper Chief of Police sided with the owner and informed me that myself, my sister, my son and my nephew were no longer allowed on the property. My family followed me to Jasper to give me a ride back home, but he decided to ban us all from the property. I told the officer that I did not think it was right that I had to leave my property at this dealership if I wasn't allowed to be there. He informed me that I didn't have a choice because he had a mechanic's lien on my car. After speaking with my attorney, there is no such thing as a mechanic's lien on a warranty job. I told the officer that there was no such thing and he told me he did not care, that this was a civil matter not a criminal matter and that I had to leave my car at the dealership and I was not allowed to come back until he called me and told me that my car was ready. I have spoken with multiple people who have told me that they do not have a Ford Certified Technician to do the work on the car and the reviews for their service department are horrible. Horror story after horror story. I have had to get an attorney to help me get my car and this nightmare isn't over yet. I currently have mo transportation of my own. I am depending on family members to get me where I need to go. Read the reviews for yourself. Over the last year, the bad far out weighs the good. Run from this dealership. PS. I dropped my car off @ 7:30 am (my appt time) for them to fix the latch on my driver's rear door. I went back @ 3pm and it wasn't fixed. I asked would it be done by 5 (when they close). The man told me no so I took my car home. They told me there was a glitch in the system and they were double-booked. This is the worst agency to ever go too. I went up there last Monday to see if I can get my car fixed. The woman told me it seems like the transmission might have a warranty or recall because it's been happening to a lot of vehicles like mine and that I could bring it by anytime next week she would be free but not this week because they were busy. I understood so I waited a whole week and called up there the Tuesday after a week and the woman said no I can't do it until Friday and it won't get fixed that day it will only be drove and run the vehicle number. I've waited almost two weeks, my transmission is slipping and it won't go above 40. Okay I need it fixed ASAP. I understand they are short and they are full but always? It's an agency omg. And they are so unprofessional, they catch an attitude with anything. They seem like their lives are miserable and they show it. I hope I never have to be back ever after my car gets fixed if it ever does. I would give them zero stars if I could that's how rude the woman on the phone was. read more
