We've visited at least a dozen courses over the past couple of years, with the top slot regularly changing. Far Oaks is now our go-to, and is a pleasure from the pro shop to the 18th green. The course is challenging, but not overwhelming, carts are in great shape, course itself is super fun, and everyone from the starter to the groundskeepers are friendly and welcoming. It gets busy, but pace of play is solid. Back 9 is a fun ride that lets you get creative with club selection. Some folks might complain about the sand, but who wants to hit out of the traps anyway? Great course, great people, and a great way to spend a few hours. Can't wait for our next visit!

Will never understand the desire of a public course to turn away dollars based on some nonexistent code of dress. If you are going to be that way, post it on the website when I make my tee time..........not wait til I drive there to act like that. Highly disappointed in this place and was super looking foward to my first time.

Of course the…read moreresults remain to be seen...its up to me to use the information and guidance Alisha provided but here are my post-assessment thoughts: - First Alisha is fantastic to work with! Very personable, very knowledgeable, appears to be a GREAT listener (!!!), relays information in usable ways, and doesn't overload you with comments, thoughts, changes. This was my first time meeting / working with Alisha and the experience was very enjoyable. - Alisha started off our assessment asking me a host of questions, which was refreshing. She asked questions covering my golf experience, my background with golf (and other sports), my goal(s), my golf frequency, why I was there, etc. It was a wonderful way for us to get to know each other. Off to a good start! - Alisha watched me warm up then hit some balls. Good conversation along the way, a couple of "atta boys" during the warmup and swings. Then the fun began. Alisha video'ed me swinging and pointed out some areas we were going to work on. All which was explained in very understandable terms. - Then 3 drills to help a couple of key areas, which I practiced while she observed...extremely helpful and something I could continue to work on. - We talked about next steps, which Alisha left totally up to me...no pressure, no "sign up now" focus. I probably left out something along the way but my assessment was well worth the investment. Alisha seems like an incredible instructor and I'd highly recommend her. I'll be working on the "homework" Alisha gave me then looking to book more time with her.

I used to have fun playing this course, but my last experience there left a bad taste in my mouth…read more I took my 5 year old son there to hit some balls on the range, and use the putting green. We bought several baskets of balls, and also spent money at the Restaurant/Bar. We were having a grand old time, and all of a sudden, the guy from the pro-shop comes out and yells at my kid on the putting green. He says that he was taking too much of a back swing, and making contact with the green with his putter. This beratement of my son made my son hate the game of golf. He feels that he has been banned from the course. I have no problem with an authority figure instructing us as to the proper way to treat the course, but to yell at my son from 50 yards away was not the proper way to solve the problem. The guy could have simply come over to us instead of making a scene, and making my son feel really bad about himself. I vow not to return to this course.

Maybe it was the perfect 78° day, maybe it was the new clubs I was trying out, but whatever it was I was completely at peace even while I sliced the ball 100 different ways. The staff was kind and helpful. The price was extremely fair, and I just overall enjoyed my time there. I will be back here.
