I was greeted with smiles and there was available parking and seating. I believe this is a non-denominational church but one thing I know for sure is that they love Jesus Christ our Savior. If you are looking for a local church where your family can worship together, conveniently located in your area, check this church out. One thing I heard while visiting is they have plans and study groups to help many age groups on their Life Growth Track, who doesn't want an extra push in the right direction. Being stable mentally, physically and emotionally is very important and this check spoke about the importance of Healing and letting God into your life to make you whole again. I will return soon and will bring a friend. Check them out, they have services on Sundays at 9am and 11am, and I believe Bible Study during the week. Worship is amazing, the pastors are spot-on, the list goes on and on. FUMC in Alachua is a small town church with a huge heart. My family has been going here since the…read moremid-90s and the congregation is made up of family, friends, and neighbors. Our visit here tonight was for the youth program. Miss Chloe was my son's 5th grade teacher and has recently joined the church and taken the reins of the youth program. My son adores her and we are excited to see what she brings to the program. The church is dedicated to the youth program and has sent the youth to Lake Junaluska the past two years for a ski trip and worship program. They are also very involved in ASP (Appalachian Service Project) among other things. In addition to the Wednesday night youth program they also meet on Sunday evenings for fellowship and youth programs.
