I wonder why people review cities on Yelp unless they are terrible and should be avoided at all costs, like Vale. I give Fruitland five stars because if the criteria are that a Fruitland is a land that produces fruit, then this one meets all expectations. After all, it is both fruit-bearing land and a city.

The City Of Fruitland…read more.... Not a lot to say about here. It's on the edge of The Snake River and The Boarder overlooking Ontario, Oregon. There is a Small Mall. Some Fast Food Joints and the typical businesses you would find near a mall. Nothing extraordinary. Not much excitement. Just another rural town, with the exception that my Grand Babies live here now. My Daughter In-law and her guy call this place home. It makes her happy so, I'll hold my tongue. Ish. I find myself in Idaho more as the years go by. There is a ton of potential for growth and commerce. I hope the future of Fruitland is brighter than love.

Ever been to the Alps in Europe? It looks a lot like that here. Green pastures butting up to forested mountains with rocky, snow-capped jagged peaks? Mountain meadows? Small towns? Friendly folks? Awww yeah. That's the good stuff. This stretch of land way out in the NE corner of Oregon is a great place to retreat and (probably) an excellent place to live. If you want the laid-back life, that is. This area seems to attract an interesting mix of frontiers-people, artists, farmers and tourists. It's the opposite of homogenous. And that speaks volumes. It's even home to distilleries and one of the original Oregon microbrews! It's like a little slice of paradise.

That being said, the cold brew is some of the best cold brew I've had at a coffee shop. There are a ton of really good-looking desserts as well. I brew cold brew myself, and I would say that it's on par with mine. Most of the time, when I buy it out, it is what I would call gut rot. This service has been really good. The servers are very young, but very polite and very quick. I like the ambiance of the shop. It is clean and well lit. There's a comfortable seating area in the back inside, and there's also seating out front on the main street. I'm in Joseph for another four or five days. I know where I'll be coming to get my cold brew fixed.

Little Big Town in the middle of.... Farmland…read more I have family out here. Its taken me a while to make it out here but my wife and I had some time. I thought it would be a lot hotter out here but its actually cooler. For a town in the middle of nowhere. It has a lot to see. I think its mostly fast food but its all worth the journey. Ontario was founded on June11, 1883. There are still some historical buildings around but most have been taken down. A town on the rise but with some old fashioned gang problems. Its a great little city but buyer beware.
