If you value your time, customer service, your pets care and your money, stay far away from this…read moreclinic. This is not the same clinic that people raved about in years past. 1. The most unprofessional and dismissive front desk staff. Multiple people behind the desk arguing with each other about billing issues, computer issues, appointment issues etc while customers wait in the lobby to be attended to, including waiting 15 mins to pay for a visit! 2. They charged an exam fee of nearly $130 for what was three minutes in the room with the vet and another 6 mins with her assistant! I thought it was a mistake. A total of 9 minutes in their care cost $127. 3. Almost $100 for a cream that can be bought at almost any online pet center and costs $35! 4. The place is in serious need of a makeover and is in very poor condition. If you are operating a business that feels like you are at the Four Seasons and has exceptional service, then perhaps you can try and justify the egregious fees. This clinic is a disaster in virtually every way. Even a gentleman who was in the lobby with his deceased pet was brushed off as an inconvenience. Unimaginable that one could stand at the front desk with three employees behind it and for nearly ten minutes, and not a single person raises their head to even say hello, all while they argue about their own incompetence. Disgraceful.

We dealt with many health issues during this time including diabetes for one dog and cancer for the other. They always offered detailed explanations of treatment options and were willing to answer many questions as we proceeded with care. When we had to euthanize our first dog in 2020, they were incredibly gentle and kind. They explained the steps they would follow; provided us with a quiet space where we could sit with her while she passed and were very attentive to our needs as grieving pet owners. I highly recommend this clinic for any pet owner looking for balanced and caring treatment for their pet and themselves.

It was so easy to arrange an appointment with them and they were ready to see my bunny right on time. The room we were in was decorated with small animal equipment and education pieces, which gave me more confidence that they prioritized their small animals just as much as dogs and cats We had Dr Tamara who was amazing with my bunny. My senior bunny was a bit shy and she was so patient and gentle with him. She chatted with me while she let my bunny warm up to the surroundings and gently coaxed him out to let her check his teeth and mouth. She weighed him and took a look at his ears too. She also took the time to listen to my concerns and recent observations, and addressed each item one by one. I felt so comforted that she didn't rush through the conversation at all, and took each observation seriously. We got him a blood test and I was prescribed some ointment for his dry ears. They also trimmed his nails, which is something they do with the check ups. She was very upfront about the costs of everything so I could decide if I can afford to move ahead. I appreciate that because many times, you can be blindsighted by a clinic. It does cost a lot to care for our pets. With it being a few days to Christmas, I didn't expect them to get the blood work results back until the new year. But on Christmas Eve, I got a call from Dr. Sugi who had reviewed the bloodwork results and even took the time to compare it with his past health history (which they obtained from my previous vet). She went over everything with me very patiently and gave me comparisons to help me understand where we were at. She was incredible and I love that she took the time to understand his usual diet more so she can provide any insight/ tips on nutrition that can support his conditions. Over all, I felt like they were incredibly attentive to my senior bunny. They went through every detail and made us feel so comfortable. I never felt rushed and I felt very very welcomed to contact them if I had any follow up questions. I appreciate their high high standard of care and I'm so glad I've found another fantastic vet for bunnies. Highly recommend!

I switched to Ajax Animal Hospital and over the years there had 4 in total. All GREAT dogs and Ajax Animal Hospital was GREAT. 4.5 years ago I went back to hunting dogs and decided to try Whites Road Animal Hospital again. They were good and treated my dogs well, the clinic a little on the costly side but that was ok till last week. On a vet visit I saw this Lady vet who noticed a bad tooth on 1 of my dogs. I was surprised with all the vet visits and such I do on a regular basis that not once did they say anything before or catch the issue with tooth. This all said I was charged for a checkup $65.36 on one dog and $121.39 on the other, this was for the exact same examination both about 15min each. The vet gave an estimate to do a teeth cleaning and an estimate to do a cleaning and tooth extraction. The prices seamed very high so I googled to get an average cost and then followed up with 4 other local clinics. In 4 clinics I found that after 4.5 years of regular treatments, medications and all that they wanted to give quotes that on Cleanings was $180 to $220 higher then 4 other area vets. The dental cleaning and tooth extraction was around $800 to $1,550 higher then the 4 other local vets. These prices Whites Road wanted to charge are insane. This made me cross check on other charges they charged me on my visit last week and I found them slightly high as well. The 2 quotes was so concerning when Whites Road Vet Clinic sent an auto generated question on how my visit was I replied to these issues and sent them an e-mail. Today the main lady calls and gives a total BS story on why there was such a difference on the charge they charged me on Examination, she said they both got the premium examination but only charged for the premium on 1 dog and not the other LOL what a crock of BS, this was an insult. A 15 min examination done 100% same on the dog that had NO tooth issue was the one at $121.39. All 4 other clinics for full examination was well below this and more in line with Whites Roads $65.00 charge they had on my other dog. For the EXTREMELY high quotes after already paying high prices for 4.5 years her story was that the clinic follows guidelines and can charge / quote whatever they want and that it's only a quote LOL, $800 to $1,550 more is NOT normal I suggest everyone really look into what this clinic is charging you and how long they spend for the charges. There is a lot of GOOD vets out there that are not out for the $$$ and are MUCH more responsible and respectful on what there charging there patients. Look around and make sure your getting treated correctly and not over paying. This is all my own personal feelings from actual experiences that I have had at Whites Road Vet Clinic. Please check for yourselves.

I have an older cat with diabetes and a 5 month old basset hound puppy and I have to say, with all my issues, West Hill was able to make me feel a LOT better about the condition of my pets. Since my cat had diabetes and my pooch just had her spay surgery I've spent a lot of time at West Hill and the doctors have been brilliant and so amazing with all of my questions and concerns about procedures. The doctors also personally call you to follow up on any surgeries or procedures to see how things are going. I was thrilled when I was told I was being an amazing mom and doing the right thing for my animals. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. NOT what I expected after trying to choose a vet downtown. Along with the personal factor of being at West Hill, all the employees are consistent and know your animals very well. People are often labelled by their pets names which I think is quirky and too adorable. I mean, walking into a vet and the people asking how your pets are by their first names is something you couldn't get downtown (I don't think). But the main reason I chose a vet so far away was a cost issue. I knew I was going to encounter significant costs associated with a new puppy as well as a diabetic cat and the procedures and medications are cheaper than you would get downtown. So all in all, I will be sticking to this vet clinic and recommending it to anyone who is an avid animal lover such as myself!
