I absolutely do not recommend this location. The facility is not well kept and has broken…read moreequipment. You're billed an extra fee for an update to the gym but that never happened in the facility during my membership even with the billing. During my usage there were several broken treadmills. They took out the rowing machine in October for repairs and said they were bringing it back along with another. That still hadn't happened by March. It's not a very well kept gym and most seats have rips in them. During the pandemic, the owner stopped taking payments for the membership from members. And then with no feedback or option to members forced an extension of the contract for two months. I have zero confidence that this facility would prevent the spread of Covid-19. In my time using the gym it was dirty, often there were no towels for cleaning (prior to Covid, I can't speak about after) and times there wasn't even toilet paper in the bathroom. My membership agreement was to cancel July 30. Instead they are forcing me to keep it until September or pay $171.78 to cancel it on my July 30 date. They are not to be trusted and because of this location, I can't recommend any ATF facility. But, if you're still going to join, I'd suggest Wapakoneta or Bellefontaine. The owners of those locations seem to really take care of them.

I was home all last summer and decided to get a membership. I am so glad I did! I took full advantage of all the fitness classes they offered, including spinning, yoga, zumba, body pump, kettle bell, kick fit, and some others! I always left with a sweat and empty water bottle. Not only does this place have great classes, but they also have a lot of cardio machines. I usually never had a problem getting the treadmill or step machine that I wanted. They have so many! But wait! There's more! They also have a cafe, a tanning bed, a childcare center, and two saunas. All of these are great additions to the building and make the membership worth it (Note that the tanning bed is an additional cost to the membership). I can honestly say that now that I am back in Indy, I really miss this as my every day gym. If you are living in Richmond for several months, I would highly recommend getting a membership. It is worth it!

It's in a remodeled building and has abundant equipment, weights and an unbelievable class schedule (spinning, Zumba, pilates, etc..) that has to be seen to be believed. Unlike some other gyms in this area, the fitness classes are included with your monthly membership fee. The gym is always clean, the staff and instructors always friendly. It also has 24 hour access if you purchase a keycard for ten dollars. Worth it if you're a late-night or early-morning type of fitness freak. Also key is the childcare option which makes it so easy to be able to work out - no more excuses! Childcare is a $4 per visit (for 3 hours) or a flat $30 per month which is totally worth it if you're going 3-4 times a week. Not ready to join? First visit is free and there is also a pay-per-visit option which is a very affordable $5 per visit. Overall the best fitness facility in all of Richmond, they have an off-site swimming pool that I haven't been to so I can't comment on that. The board needs to do a walk through and see the improvements that need to be made. The GM of this YMCA has his hands tied and can't make decisions without going to the board first.
