This was kind of a let down I'm not going to lie. After reading all the amazing reviews I had very high hopes and expectations coming into this meal. Got a beef pad see ew and a shrimp curry dish. Both could've used a lot more flavor and spice. Drinks were decent, and so was pricing.

There's new Winter cocktails for the season and the presentation was so cool! These cocktails screamed Christmas and paired well with all the delicious Thai food. The two cocktail names are Christmas Eve and Whimsical Smoke. For non-alcoholic drinks, I got the Mango Meadow and Lychee Thai Iced Tea. The mocktails were so refreshing. The food I ordered was: Taro Puff Peek Gai Mak Khamin Tord Goong Nueng Ma Nao Pad Thai Lobster Tail Khao Phad Pla Mueng Moo Yaang I liked the sweet and sticky wings and their shrimp salad was fresh and spicy. I never had squid ink in fried rice, but that dish was so yummy and had a whole fried octopus tail! The Pad Thai with a lobster tail was my fav. The lobster was grilled and the noodles were slightly sweet and tamarind-y. The pork chops were super tender and came with a great dipping sauce. Service was great and food came out fast. Also, from 4-7 PM Mondays-Thursdays, their happy hour deal gets you a free cocktail if you buy 2!

Really cozy ambiance, good service, and food! My friend and I came here after walking around the neighborhood thrifting. We both loved the interior with their rattan chairs. The atmosphere was really calm and bright, and the staff were very polite! We shared the crab rangoon, the green curry and shrimp pad thai. Overall the food was good and I wonder if we weren't in such a rush if I could have updated the spice level.

BEST PAPAYA SALAD I'VE EVER HAD, 10/10. It was seasoned so perfectly; just the right amount of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy (it's not very spicy). I would return just for this alone. I also tried the gui chai tord, pan fried chive cakes, that tasted increasingly better the more I ate it. I loved how softly fried the outside was, but still soft and chewy (kind of like a mochi consistency) on the inside. 4.5/5 For my entree I ordered the pad thai with tofu and it was good but it might've been overshadowed by how amazing the papaya salad was. I think I would've liked this dish more if it was more tangy/sour and spicy. 3.5/5

I was looking for some lunch not too far from home and found this spot. I found street parking which wasn't hard because it was really in the day. I stopped by early afternoon and there were a few customers eating inside. I was surprised how big and beautiful the restaurant is inside. I ordered my lunch to go and had to wait about 10 minutes. I ordered the basil chicken lunch special that came with a small salad. I requested a mild spicy flavor and the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely return to check out some other menu items. However, this time I would like to sit and enjoy the ambience inside.

Forever Thai: A Culinary Oasis in Williamsburg Forever Thai, nestled in the heart of East Williamsburg, is a culinary oasis that transports you to the vibrant streets of Thailand without leaving New York City. With its stunning modern decor and captivating lighted tree at its center, the restaurant creates an enchanting, intimate, inviting ambiance. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's design is a perfect blend of contemporary elegance and traditional Thai elements, creating a visually stunning space that is both stylish and comfortable. The lighted tree, a restaurant's centerpiece, adds a touch of magic and creates a unique dining experience. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Forever Thai and was immediately impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered the pad see ew with broccoli, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the broccoli was fresh and crisp, and the chicken was tender and flavorful. The sauce was a delightful balance of sweet, salty, and savory, making every bite a culinary delight. What set Forever Thai apart from other Thai restaurants I've visited was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. It was clear that the chefs took great care in sourcing the best possible ingredients for their dishes. The flavors were authentic and vibrant, capturing the true essence of Thai cuisine. Beyond the food, the service at Forever Thai was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to recommend dishes based on my preferences and ensured that I had a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for a truly exceptional Thai restaurant in Williamsburg, Forever Thai is a must-visit. With it's beautiful decor, delicious food, and impeccable service, it's a culinary gem that will leave you wanting more. Pics: were leftovers that I took home for dinner. I shall return!

I had been wanting to try out this spot in my neighborhood for some time. Finally went last night. The food was amazing. I had a Thai Iced tea and Pad Kee Mau. Food was delicious. Hubby had some appetizers that he also enjoyed. The taro puffs were ok, lacked a little flavor. Chicken wings were tasty but not deeply fried as described. Was looking for more of a crunchy skin. The spring rolls were good but he didn't enjoy the filling.

two friends suggested this thai restaurant & i'm happy AF they did! first the ambiance. very cozy, intimate vibes with beautifully white tiled floors & wooden accents including a gorgeous bar area (with purse hooks!). in the center of the restaurant is a floral tree which subtly enhances the atmosphere. lots of blue accents carried throughout the interior design & even in the dish ware! (love the attention to detail). we arrived, no res, only waited five minutes before we were seated. it was friday & pretty packed but the service was quick & efficient. (water glass stayed full!) on to the food! we ordered family style, starting with papaya salad sans nuts & YOWZA, i just kept on eating it! the combination of flavors really packs a punch to the tastebuds. absolute fire, that salad! i'd spin the block for that ALONE. we also ordered the wings (delish), panang curry with shrimp (PHENOMENAL with the jasmine rice), & the pad thai with tofu (wouldn't get again). we had the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was warm & gooey but i wasn't a fan of the fruity pebbles on the plate. last but NEVER least, the thai iced tea was perfection! (& not small either!) overall, great spot for a dinner date with friends or celebration dinner! i'd definitely return to try more of their menu!

What a great experience! A friend of mine was celebrating a birthday and we had other plans near by so I easily made a reservation at Forever Thai. WOW! I certainly wasn't expecting the quality and customer service I received for the affordable prices! The food was absolutely AMAZING! It reminded me of the fresh and delicious flavors I experienced in Thailand! I didn't want it to end but my tummy was busting at the seams! Our server was super attentive and gave us great recommendations. The restaurant is beautiful and they take special care in the details and it shows. Needless to say, I will be back and I'm telling everyone I know!

A cute restaurant in Bushwick we went on a Saturday evening around 7:30. We didn't have a reservation but decided to wait for a table vs eating at the bar. The wait was around 15 min for a booth. The hostess was polite as was all of the staff. We ordered the following Duck buns - just ok. The duck to bun ratio was light and would have liked it to be juicier Crab and Cream Cheese wontons - to be fair I'm not a fan of cream cheese in rolls/wontons etc. my friend wanted them. She enjoyed them. For me it was fine but not something I would order again. She would Tom kha Gai - soup with with the shrimp it was amazing Tom Yum Gai - soup with shrimp mushrooms and lemongrass . Enjoyable spicy tangy flavor. I would esp want this when sick Fried Branzino - amazing and glad we decided to share as we were stuffed from the apps Lychee cocktail- forgot the name but tasty

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

Every single dish was fantastic and came with little chili sauces or garnishes or spicy sauce etc which brought the dishes together beautifully. The hostess was extremely friendly and kind and gave her recommendation as well. She said takeout would be 15 minutes (it would be hour long wait to dine in at 8pm on a Thursday night). They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. My friends and I have never dined in but the ambience looks very warm and inviting. If you love delicious and flavorful food then this is the place for you! Look no further!! Highly recommend!!!! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was on point: · Lychee Thai Iced Tea & Yuzu Pop - both refreshing and not too sweet (huge plus for me since I don't have a big sweet tooth). · Moo Ping - solid start to the meal. · Salmon Mango (GF) - the salmon was cooked through (which I asked for), and the mango salad underneath was light and tangy. The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Lunch in Brooklyn during in-between meetings of my professional duties of a Wednesday afternoon…read moresummons Thai cuisine. Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.
