The hotels reception is very welcoming and modern, and some staff can speak English. In reception there is a pool table and a playstation which kept the children entertained. The evening meals I had were in the restaurant, which is to the left of the back of reception. The meal was of a decent standard, as was the breakfast, although they do not have fresh milk. The room was clean and had an en-suite shower. Outside, there is a small swimming pool, which is not heated. Overall I recommend Altia Hotel.

This place is kind of a dump. I've stayed at a lot of places in Europe, this one is not the…read morenicest. It's convenient to a lot of businesses so people stay there but they really need to do renovations to the property. The rooms stink! The staff speaks very little English. When I arrived, I was given a room key to a room where the door would not open, it had to be forced open (ghetto). Then I was given a different room key and when I went to that room, there was a woman in the room already. We were both surprised that the front desk didn't have good records on which rooms are occupied. I stuck to room service to make life easier. The food was ok but nothing special. Breakfast buffet is weak. The guy that works the front desk night shift was really nice given the situation. I wouldn't recommend to anyone to stay here unless they have no other options.
