First of all, I went to the counter to ask where it was, as it wasn't on the shelf where the other Crown was. He was on the phone, I patiently waited, he gave them the "what do you need look" while staying on the phone, I quietly asked where it was, on the floor behind you. They had 3 cases and no price tag, that was my first hint. I then asked him how much, he said $49/bottle for 750ml. I said you do know this is regularly $29/bottle everywhere else, he abruptly said "yea if they have it". I said you are crazy, as I know it's back out in limited qty, and other places have it. I left and drove 15 mins up the road to Total Wine in Cherry Hill, got it for $29.09/bottle. Bought 4 bottles of it, on my way. I would have paid $35/bottle, but jacking it up almost 70% is BS. I hope it sits on his floor and goes bad, unfortunately it probably won't because of the demand. Just wanted to make the consumer aware of this guys pricing model. The staff takes their jobs seriously and don't make customers feel awkward asking questions or trying to just shop and get out of there. There's ample parking and their hours are great too. My Pennsylvania license recently expired, so PennDOT issued me a temporary paper license that is fully government issued and valid for 60 days from the date printed on it. It includes my name, address, date of birth, and driver's license number, and it's accepted anywhere that requires valid ID including banks, traffic stops, and state offices. I completely understand that everyone needs to be carded even though I'm 38 and I respect that rules are rules. But the fat miserable lady at the counter was completely disrespectful and ignorant about the situation. She kept insisting I was wrong about my license and even claimed I didn't get it in the mail. She could have just said she didn't know what I was talking about because she's just a cashier, but instead she chose to argue with me. I stayed calm and respectful the whole time while my 13 year old daughter stood there watching. I've seen posts and heard stories about how nasty she can be but this was my first time actually experiencing it. My temporary license is legitimate and government issued, so there was no reason to treat me like I was lying. Instead of just saying I'm not sure but I can't accept this, she chose to belittle me in front of other customers. Totally unnecessary and embarrassing. Do better with your customer service

The staff is always so helpful, guiding you in the right direction, helping to find something in particular, and going above and beyond...as an example: it was very hard to find Not Your Father's Root Beer when it came out a few years ago, especially in South Jersey. Jean (who is an absolute sweetheart and half the reason we go to JB Liquors) took down our number and called us as soon as it came in! (Kurt was a visionary and his store filled a desperate need, in this area, and still does.) I think next was the house that Kurt built for his family on the adjacent lot. There might have been one more addition to the store, either before or after the house, but the store has come a long way from the tiny storefront of its beginnings. That was a long time ago and Kurt has long since sold his business and retired, but the name remains. The store is clean and inviting, the owners friendly, and there's a great variety to choose from. They accept all credit/debit cards and cash, of course, and their hours are by far the most accommodating of any business in the area (9am to 10pm daily, including weekends). They've resurfaced their parking lot and re-striped it, even adding more much-needed parking spaces, which helps make it less of a free-for-all. The place can get pretty busy! We're not really big drinkers, but when we do want something, there's only one destination for us: Kurt's in Elsinboro.

Placed our order - i ordered 5 wings and the roasted veggie grinder. Lunch partner ordered a French dip. Wings came out timely and were good. It took the French dip and roasted veggie grinder 30 mins to come out and the order was wrong - it wasnt a French dip, my sandwich was not toasted, nor did it have the aioli on it either (2nd strike); both went back - server apologized and said remake would come out quickly. There was a table of 3 ladies other side of us and their order came out three times to complete - it came out piecemeal but i digress. Server was clearly embarrassed since she stayed away. I saw her and asked when out food was coming - 1255pm the remake came out. The French dip was supposed to be on a seeded roll which it was not, and my roasted veggie sandwich was a mushy mess of what they called roasted veggies still on a soft ciabatta roll that was not toasted as a grinder should be and the veggies were over salted. (3rd strike) The server offered to have the manager come by but I declined as he/she would not have been happy by the time I was done with him or her. After being closed for a few years was excited to come back. Needless to say wont be going back.
