Ending up here with two colleagues while visiting Trento for business, I was somewhat surprised to find a place with such a German vibe in Italy. Also food wise, they cater local food that seems a mixture between Italian, Austrian and German cuisines, including Pretzels and dumplings. We shared an excellent mixed plate with meats (for them) and four types of cheeses (for me :-) ) for starters. As a main dish I had the local spinach gnocci, with came shaped as big dumplings. Not something you want to eat a whole pan off, but one plate of it was very tasty. Also, when you're here, don't forget to taste some of the great home-brewed beers. The staff is sometimes a bit hasty, probably due to it being a large place with many customers to serve, but when you ask for their attention you are usually served pretty fast. read more

We have been travelling across Italy. This is the first restaurant where we did not feel welcome. No one greeted us, menus were literally thrown at us, when food was delivered, it was ok, but nothing above average. No one checked back with us. I had to finally ask for check. Even when paying, the cashier did not ask how dinner was. Was so disappointed. Trenton is the area my family was from. I hope this is not how we will be treated by others. Wow when I say the WORST food and service I'm not kidding. I asked for a menu in English and the waiter rolled his eyes and insisted that I look while he was standing there instead of giving me a minute to order. I got so stressed I got the polenta??? Yeah no. Everyone thought their meal was very below average and the service was terribly unkind. We will not be returning ever and I do not recommend it to my worst enemy. read more
