We walked in to get my 11 year old son a haircut-and without a hello or greeting or how can I help you the lady started yelling and complaining about my sons haircut and said it was done wrong previously. We didn't know it was done wrong and didn't think it looked bad, but she insisted that who did it previously cut his hair wrong. She then told us she could fix it and would be a process and made an appointment with us to come back in. We were later informed that she couldn't take the time to cut his hair and canceled our appointment. She made my son feel embarrassed while we were there and was just really rude and unprofessional. read more

Such a friendly barber. It's nice to go to a shop and the barber still know what a true fade is. He's been in business for 40 years. Best shave I've been given in a shop and it was only $13! I didn't have cash and he trusted me enough to go get money and come back. Good people like that help you remember there's still good in the world. read more

This is the old fashioned barber shop that is rooted in Americana; embodied by Norman Rockwell paintings, the Andy Griffith Show, and dare we say the Barbershop Trilogy of the 2000's... ok maybe not. This has been my go to barbershop for the last few months now and I really enjoy it. There is hardly a wait. The atmosphere is fantastic. It is close to the Saddle Club- I have thought about stopping at one after the other but have yet to do it. Finally its the right kind of price for a young penny pincher like myself, usually 11 bills (before tip) for the under 65 crowd. Have had both the older man and the woman, and both do a great job. All in all if you are looking for a great place to get your ears lowered in a hurry for a good price then look no further. I have been going here for several years and yes its like stepping back in time except for the hair cuts . They can do a great job with most any style you want. No primping, teasing, etc. just do a great job at what you go to a barber for, get your hair cut or trimmed. read more

I was looking for a new place to get a haircut and I dropped by the Fort Mitchell Barber Shop as a walk-in today, This is old school barber shop. Gunsmoke is on the TV, guys come in making friendly barbershop small talk. The barber cuts my hair in 15 - 20 minutes, gives me a great cut and I am on my way out the door. If you are looking for a Salon, you might want to look elsewhere. For me, it was right down my alley and I plan to go back. read more

While getting my haircut the barber proceeded to tell me they had recently had a problem with bed bugs, which was verified by the exterminator notice posted on the wall. It was the most appalling experience of my life. read more
