Sarah is a wonderful teacher and the horses are gorgeous. My eight year old is loving her lessons and always looks forward to riding!

Straddling the US boarder and Mexico boarder is Pony land, which is located in San Diego county,…read moreChula Vista to be exact. The trail area was once used for navy training and a dump site; now for recreational use. The preserve/wetlands are patrolled and have cameras that are throughout the trails. Communities tucked in Tijuana canyons and US canyons. I'm not your average rider as I love cute mocktails on the beach and sewing in my spare time. Abort mission? By no means. Pony land is a family owned ranch that is also an interactive petting zoo. My tour guide was Rozka and while she was rather quite lovely, however, Lilly stole the show. A calm and gentle gal--yet a playful, curious, and sweet mare. She was not easily spooked by things or noises on the trail. No leaf eating for the horses during the journey, it is bad form. Horses have way more character than I would have thought! I have learned they can push your boundaries or engage in lighthearted mischief while sticking to their training. They do have porta potties on the grounds and customer service was wonderful. They also provide complimentary sunblock and mosquito spray--sprayed bug spray on horses for their protection as well. I enjoyed myself throughly and would definitely do it again. The wind in my hair and the views were breath stopping! Riding along the beach was wondrous and or romantic even--a truly magical experience. Until further notice, continuing to romanticize life. "No hour of life is wasted that is spent in the saddle!" Tips: Long sleeves Water Hat No restrooms on trail Close toed shoes Great for first timers

What a fun time!!…read more Coming from someone who rides horses daily, this was a wonderful experience! I took my friends here for a bachelorette weekend ride and it was perfect! One of them had never been on a horse before and Luke was so kind and willing to make her feel the most comfortable when riding! He explained to her how to safely ride and have a comfortable ride, at that. Not only was it fun learning about the Julian mines along the tour, the horses were very happy! I avoid doing these kind of things because typically the horses are ridden so often that they just become robots and you can tell they're unhappy. That was NOT the case with these ones. They get well-rested and have a lovely space in the shade to relax when they're not on trail. Each of our horses were also very well trained and rideable for even the most inexperienced person. All very sweet temperaments and happy to get their apple slices at the end. Overall, the ride was wonderful, our guide was so respectful and informative and we had a wonderful day riding through the countryside of Julian!

After a lot of research I picked Integrity Stables and I'm so glad I did! Horses are well loved and cared for, the ride was very private (just us and our guide), the scenes were beautiful, and our trail guide (I'm blanking on his name he was young--maybe it was Luke?) was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Would recommend to anyone (experienced horse person or not) and definitely plan on going back next time I'm in San Diego! While it is a little drive from San Diego (45 min - 1hr), the little town of Julian was the perfect place for us to stop afterwards for lunch before we made the drive back!

They got a new sign, watered the grass and addressed a few other "first impression" things so it looks prettier from the street. They haven't bothered to fix important things like replacing the old corroded connections that spontaneously break off of the automatic waterers, fixing broken welds in corrals or other sharp edges, or clean up the areas people actually need to use. Also: No manager. No night checks. No fly control. No manure removal and a pile the size of a small mountain that regularly catches FIRE in hot weather. No dust control and major dust issues/no bagged shavings - sawdust. Piles of junk everywhere. Gross, leaning porta-potties. Giant holes in the corrals and horses stand in inches of mud after a rain. Scary barn wiring (cobweb covered exposed wires, extension cords everywhere, noises coming from breaker box). A tree fell on a corral and killed a horse; there are still giant tree limbs over corrals. No feeding schedule - odd times and odd amounts, and sometimes forgotten or skipped. People get kicked out if they complain. It's sad because the property has great potential, but for the same price (or less) you can do way better in East County.

Nestled between two rolling hills and an occasional running creek, there's plenty of areas to walk , graze and ride your horse. The owner lives on the property and is available to help or assist w/ any issues that may arise. She is kind, caring and very compassionate. Has saved many of her clients horses by being so knowledgeable and observant. Would I recommend this facility...... 100% I have been there now for 8 yrs. I was originally only going to be here for a couple of yrs. Now I can't imagine boarding anywhere else.
