Bella Cibo - Peri Peri Chicken

Situated in an upstairs restaurant, Bella Cibo has a calming rustic feel to its atmosphere. The open pizza kitchen flows with the scents of fresh made ingredients that has your taste buds dancing before your meal has arrived. Food usually takes around 20 minutes at its fastest; even when completely booked out. I personally return for the pizza and have never been let down. I've tried many kinds and will stand by the meat lovers and classic supreme. Dough is light and seasoned perfectly. Toppings are fresh and cooked evenly. Any requests made to alter the toppings have only been missed on one occasion but I leave that to a busy kitchen to be run by humans and as such, are capable of making a mistake here and there. It's no big deal at all. During one visit, the manager had taken my girlfriend's plate away after we had finished and asked for the remainder of what she had to be bagged. He accidentally threw it out. When we realized what may have happened, I approached the manager and to my surprise, we were presented with a brand new, full dish, packed and ready to be taken home. I highly recommend the pizzas and the creme brulee. Wonderful atmosphere and absolutely delicious food. Well worth the price tag.

If this place could be consistent or honour requests, this would be a 5 star review…read more I've mostly given up on ordering pizza and just make my own, but when I'm not up to the task, Italy at Jannali (now Bella Cibo) is the go to. The Peri Peri Chicken pizza is outstanding (better than Crust IMO). Sadly, it's 50/50 on whether they'll honour our request for no mushrooms, and they've forgotten the peri peri sauce on one occasion. The chorizo pizza is deliciously different, don't be afraid of the rocket! There's almost a sweetness to the pie that I can't explain, but it's not to be missed. The hot wings aren't bad. They have an unusual cumin/coriander spice mix instead of the usual hot sauce, but still have a bit of a kick. The garlic bread is the best I've had via delivery. The meat lovers pizza also deserves a mention. I was a bit worried that the place would decline with the new name change, but it's still just as delicious - even if they left the mushrooms on again.

I just wanted to express how disgusted I am by the way my family and I were treated at your…read morerestaurant last night. We had a reservation for 7:30, arrived on time, and looked at the menu, which was extremely overpriced. After looking at the wine list, my friend went next door to buy a bottle of wine. Within 15 minutes of sitting down, we ordered as we were hungry. We got our bruschetta quickly, which was fine, but after that, we were left waiting. At 8:40, we asked the waitress about our mains, and she said there was a large table ahead of us, and we were next. By 8:45, we decided we couldn't wait any longer and told her we just wanted to pay for the bruschetta and leave. She said we couldn't do that and needed to speak to the manager. When the manager came over, she was incredibly rude. She immediately raised her voice and asked, "What's the problem here?" We explained we wanted to leave, and she said, "You can't do that, your food is about to be plated." My sister-in-law told her we didn't want to wait any longer, and the manager put her hand in my sister-in-law's face and told her to "lower her voice." I stepped in and told the manager how rude she was and that, as someone who's worked in service for years, I would never treat customers like that. She asked how I would have handled it, and I said I would have apologized and explained the delay. The manager responded by saying, "Why would I apologize? You haven't been waiting that long. You didn't order when you got here, and you even went and bought wine." I was stunned by her response. My sister-in-law then went to the register to pay, feeling pressured into doing so. We got our food in takeaway containers at 9:00 PM and left because we didn't feel comfortable staying any longer. If I were the owner, I would be mortified by how this manager spoke to customers. If this is the owner, I feel sorry for the staff who have to work under such a person. There's no defending rudeness like that - customers pay your wages, and this kind of treatment is unacceptable.

When we arrived, the waitress could not find our booking but the owner directed us to a table for ten. We opened our wines and ordered for the children. They got the kids' soft drink orders wrong, but we dealt with that. Fifteen minutes later, we still hadn't been asked if we wanted to order anything, when another group of ten arrived. When the owner couldn't find their table, he shouted obscenely loudly to the entire restaurant that someone had booked a table for ten but that he took no text message bookings that week, so any bookings by text would have to move. When my sister showed him the text with confirmation of her booking, which he had sent, he told us we'd have to move to the takeaway pizza area and started setting up a fold out table for us. He shouted to the whole restaurant that we had to move. The experience was surreal. He wasn't even apologetic that he had overbooked!!! He was angry when we said we'd booked and didn't think We should have to move. We still don't understand what happened. When he continued to shout at the top of his voice, we told him we'd eat somewhere else. (There was no way we'd be supporting his business which treated customers so rudely!) He then threatened to set off the 'alarm' and call the police. We had simply booked a table at a restaurant and turned up for our booking to enjoy our Italian meal. The other patrons were dumbfounded. I fail to see how this business can continue to exist. The owner/manager was absolutely psychotic. Unfortunately, rather than leaving in solidarity, the other group of ten took our table and gave him their patronage. Humans! Don't take the risk. This place does not deserve your money! (And you might be kicked out before you can even order!) GIVE IT A MISS! And read all the reviews. There are many like this. Unless you enjoy being abused or witnessing others being shouted at (customers or staff) I'd choose to eat somewhere else. If I could choose zero stars I would.
