Do not sleep on this place, amazing food and even better service. My husband had the assorted dry tossed rice noodles and I had the wonton noodle soup. We both are spice fanatics and thought the spice level was perfect on the dry tossed noodles, very Szechuan forward. We heard other people saying the spicy chicken was too spicy which made us want to try it even more. The portion size is great so we will have to get that next time. This restaurant deserves a review! They are on their soft opening and it looks like this restaurant would be our go to place. I could not identify specifically what cuisine they serve but it's like they picked some of my favorites from chinese, japanese and taiwanese cuisine and put then all together in one menu. their dishes are not too greasy not salty. their chili garlic oil was also very good. my favorite was the beef roll and my 7 yr old who's a picky eater's favorite is the pork soup dumpling... we had to order 2 of those. the price is also right.. we had the kids bun, beef fried rice, 2 orders of the beef roll, 2 orders of the pork soup dumplings, 1 order of siomai, pork tonkatsu and wonton in chili oil and we paid less than $140 and that already included the tip. i rated it 4 stars because--- the floor was very slippery, they forgot the egg on the tonkatsu, it would be nice if they have actual soup spoons for the soup and also the pork soup dumpling. read more

My husband & I came here for the 1st time Tue Jan 6th around 5pm. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The place is rather small inside, but cozy. We were seated, and water was brought to the table. We ordered several items to share. We got an order of delicious Wonton Soup $10.95, which came out pretty quick. There was enough for several bowls each, and it had a good amount of wontons. We also got the BBQ Pork Buns $12.95 which comes with 4. They were hot & yummy. We ordered Walnut Shrimp $15.95 which we both enjoyed. My husband decided to get the Asst Beef Tossed Rice Noodle dish $17.50 I'm not exactly sure why he ordered this other then the fact that he loves beef. Neither of us had ever had beef tripe before, but it was a bit too salty even for my husband, so I don't think he'll be ordering this again. I used their unisex bathroom, which apparently is the only bathroom in the restaurant, so their employees have to use it too. I wasn't too happy to see a pee stain on the floor in the front of the toilet. I also didn't like to see one of the female employees wiping the table crumbs onto the seats, in fact the long booth seat had a bunch of crumbs in the seat crack all the way down. I believe this restaurant has been open for about a month now, but it's ridiculously busy, in a good way! It goes to show that people are willing to wait because the food is that delicious. Though the dishes didn't come out at the same time since there was a minor hiccup in the kitchen (shoutout to the owner for keeping us informed), it was well worth the wait! It's my second visit at this restaurant, both times we had a really good experience! The service was excellent, definitely the highlight of our visit. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the chicken broth noodle, which was okay, but my son's ramen was really good! We also tried the chili oil dumplings, pork and leek dumplings, and vegetable dumplings, all were flavorful and definitely worth recommending. The sesame balls were soft and also recommend trying. My son, daughter and daughter in law were so excited to try this place. Don't get me wrong we may give them another shot due to generous portions, but unfortunately there was little to no flavor. We didn't want to throw it all away so instead my daughter in-law doctored the noodles with sauce and seasonings and it was delicious! Grew up Cantonese and parents from macau, took them here to get their approval on comfort food and it's a 5/5. I grew up in sf and moved out here 2021. This place is amazing!!! We happened to notice it as we were driving through the Sprouts shopping center and so glad we gave them a try. I've had their vegetable dumplings, vegetable ramen, and spicy garlic edamame. My husband has had their soup dumplings, fried pork dumplings, beef stir fry udon and wonton soup with chili oil. Both of us agree that everything we have had there has been SO delicious and fresh. My husband especially loves the soup dumplings. We have dined in and gotten take out. Service is fast and friendly. I couldn't even eat it I had to throw it away! It was ALL batter, and the sauce was PURE sugar! The only thing positive was it was fried right, but everything else from the fried rice to the egg roll was way worse than Panda Express! I'm writing this review hoping that they are able to fix what I'm not happy about. This used to be my favorite place for stir fry. I usually order the shrimp stir fry noodles. I've ordered 4-5 different times in the past and it always came out so good. Tonight I was disappointed with it because it was nothing like how it used to taste like. I don't know if it's a different chef tonight or what, or if they rushed it and forgot to add an ingredient like soy sauce. When we got home and I looked at it, it was a lighter color. The noodles are usually more brown, like it's glazed with soy sauce or something. When I tasted it, it tasted bland and had no flavor. There was no smoky flavor like it's cooked on a wok. Instead it was bland and had no flavor and noodle were a normal yellow color. I called the restaurant and talked to the guy who answered the phone and gave him my feedback. He said he will tell his co worker. I really hope they fix this. This used to be my favorite place for stir fry. I will give them one more try in the future. I hope when I do they fix it and make the stir fry right how they did before. I was excited to try this place the minute all the soft opening reviews popped up on Facebook. Hubby and I popped in around 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. There were 4 occupied tables. We were seated immediately. The first thing we noticed was the chairs slipping and sliding around, almost as if they were on rollers. For those of you coming with squirmy kids, beware. I got up to use the bathroom and the chair almost slid out from underneath me when I sat back down. We did have to wait a few minutes and had to flag someone to get a menu. Please note that the photos on the menu are for "reference only" and do not depict the actual quantity you will receive. I did notice the text quantity on the menu but over heard another patron complaining when their food came out, expecting to receive more. We ordered chicken dumplings (8), pork soup dumplings (6), garlic green beans and custard buns (4). The green beans arrived first. I was hoping they would be more dry fried with crispy garlic pieces. Flavor did not wow us but was good. I ended up drizzling with vinegar, soy sauce and chili oil to brighten up the flavor. We were pretty hungry and ate about half of the green beans until the soup dumplings came out. I asked for soup spoons, as this helps catch the soup when biting into the dumplings. I was hoping to get the kind you would typically get when you are served soup in a Chinese restaurant, but instead received ordinary tablespoons. Since the soup dumplings did not come out piping hot, a regular spoon did the job. The downfall? they did not come out hot. The soup inside the dumpling was luke warm. We did finish all the soup dumplings before the chicken ones came out. The chicken dumplings also contained corn and were a little dense. The sauce that is served with the dumplings was ok and a tad sweet for my taste. They do offer chili crisp oil, vinegar and soy sauce at the table, but you do have to ask for a dish, as it is not given to you with your place setting. We were still a bit hungry and ordered the custard buns. When they came out, the first thing I noticed was the scent. They gave off an odd, almost plastic smell. The second was the uniformity of the buns did not look handmade. The paper on the bottom had a familiar yellow print on them. I broke it open and didn't get that gooey lava yolky ooze. It was more of just a lump of yellow goop. The flavor did leave a weird artificial aftertaste in our mouths. I looked at my husband and said "i think these are frozen". He took out his phone and took a picture of the yellow wrapper. We did a quick internet search and found that they were in fact frozen Din Tai Fung buns. This suddenly made us wonder about the luke warm and over dense dumplings and wondered... were those store bought too? We were super excited when this establishment opened but unfortunately did not meet up to our dim sum standards. For local fresh handmade dumplings that come out steaming hot, I will stick to 88 Bao Bao until Fortune is a bit more consistent with temperature and timing of serving their dishes. Giving a 2-star rating because it is edible and does the job for your dumpling cravings. -minus one star for safety and cleanliness - the sliding chairs are a huge hazard and their single bathroom had no seat covers and paper towels strewn all over the floor. -minus one star for store bought dumplings, poor temperature and food timing -minus one star for staff - getting seated and having to wait/ask for a menu and having to watch a waitress dramatically plop in the table next to us and lay her head down on the table.
