Some time passed where we finally went into the boathouse and even though we don't own a boat (and don't intend to) or are into fishing we still found lots of merchandise that we found and Steve even bought a t-shirt so there is a wide variety of merchandise to check out. They offer boat and kayak rentals - the boats come from the Boathouse store and the kayaks come from wayyy down on Owen beach. For those that like to fish there is an area off the pier that allows you to do so and there's a fish cleaning station nearby. If you have a boat there are drive up and hand launch areas to get you in the water and moorage is available with gas and pumpout on site. From a walking stand point: great place to see sea life, close to the ferry, and an all around lovely place to get some fresh air!

He never once asked if we had questions or needed help with anything. While looking at the kayak she wanted another couple walked in and needed help to which he pretty much blew them off. Needless to say my daughter hopped online and purchased a 1500$ kayak online because the one person working didn't acknowledge her or anyone else browsing the store what so ever. He clearly wasn't motivated to make a sale because we both would have gotten one.

Side Note: Marina staff is needlessly rude, nearly to the point of being violent. Some youngish man who claimed to have been the manager for 15 years (though he hardly looked old enough) was belligerent, and rude. Should in my face like he was trying to start a bar fight. I got out of there as fast as I could! My guess is they know there is something wrong with their fuel, and they are getting defensive about it. I can't warn you enough to stay away from this place...and if you read other reviews here are yelp, you'll see many one star reviews as well.

After being long time owners of a Boathouse, we were told that the boathouse was structurally unsound and that we must pay to have it rebuilt or paid to have it destroyed. We chose to move out of there and paid Scott to remove it. This was never done and he kept the money. He's great at making threats for financial gain.

I called him from my layover in Oakland, California and told him I was gonna try to get a paddle in that same evening,if possible, he started describing it and said, "Man you just gotta get here, I'll drop you a pin!. You're not gonna believe what an amazing experience you're gonna have!" We both had goosebumps, he was so pumped and excited, and so was I!!! He was so right, Everything was perfect, and my goosebumps had goosebumps. It was such a beautiful Paddle. A few days later, I had a little more time on my hand, so I gave him a call, once again blew me away. My final night before I was to fly home opened up and once again he went above and beyond. I record my paddles with a GARMIN watch that synchronizes with the RELIVE app to show your video Trail on a satellite map and any pictures and videos you take and geo-stamped along your trail. It also allows you to edit pictures that were taken of you while you're paddling. And you guessed it, Scott took pictures of me out on the water. The guy is just amazing, his passion has no limits and it's infectious. I've never experienced such good service.
