Do not leave your dog with these people!!…read more We have a 9 month-old toy poodle that we left in the hands of Wey farm from 14th to 23rd July due to a holiday we booked. When we collected our dog and he just did not seem right. We had him booked at a dog groomers directly after collecting him from Wey Farm and thank goodness they noticed blood around his excrement which is something we probably would not noticed but the groomers see dogs on a daily basis . We immediately rushed him to see a Veterinary doctor. The doctor wrote us a report stating "poor body condition" and "blood on thermo. Picture of poo contains beans, rice etc. Looks like chilli con carne". We then paid for the Veterinary doctor to provide our dog an urgent injection and for a course of antibiotics (Clavaseptin). We then contacted Wey Farm and spoke to a person called Noah who tried to explain things. What has shocking is he actually confirmed the food they had been feeding him was inappropriate and then texted us a picture of the food branded Forthglade which was "brown rice & vegetables chicken liver" that clearly stated "suitable for dogs 1 year plus". He offered to cover the cost of the Veterinary doctor bill which we thought was reasonable and did not even ask for a refund for the money we paid for boarding our dog. We felt we had managed to save out dog in time and with the injection and course of antibiotics he should get back to normal. We agreed to send Noah the Veterinary doctor's invoice which he confirmed they would cover the cost. However after numerous emails chasing for payment we have been ignored. So we are now going down the legal route as their actions are totally irresponsible and we would hate for other dog owners to experience what we did.

Obviously customer care sucks at Kats castle and I'm very surprised to see that they do still exist

We were told to arrive between 10 and 12 to pick up if we were to avoid charges for that day. As they don't take cards, we had the right cash with us. We were then told v tersely that we should have been there by 11.30am. The owner wouldn't entertain the vaguest possibility that we may have been given the wrong info (she hadn't been there at the time) and insisted on the extra charge. She wouldn't let us pay £200 there and then and the extra few pounds later and refused to let us take the cat until we went and got the cash. Since we already had her in the basket by this point, the cat was stressed by being put back in the cage and my young children were beside themselves in tears given they had missed her so much and had been so looking forward to taking her home. Very stressful going to get the extra few quid because the owner wouldn't trust us to pop back with it later, even though she has our address, we live round the corner and have been a customer of hers for years. The aggressive attitude was awful. When we finally got our cat home, she was starving, so I don't think she was fed, despite the insistence of paying for this extra day of care - which includes food. Will never go there again. Anyone who is happy to let small children sob their hearts out rather than delay payment of a few pounds for an hour or so is not a genuinely a caring person, whatever front they may usually put on.
