Hotel George V is an Art Deco style hotel built in 1928 and later managed by the Four Seasons is conveniently located off of Champs-Élysées. With Eiffel Tower views and Michelin stars restaurants, it's focus on luxe, excellent service and exquisite style is palatial and majestic. It was the perfect storm of events; a trip to Paris for business and pleasure, attend the reopening of Notre Dame cathedral, stay at iconic George V...Oui! oui s'il te plaît merci!! My last trip to Paris was well over a decade ago where I stayed at Hotel Crillon, another luxe hotel. But my stay at Hotel George is perhaps the best experience by far. Every detail about our accommodation was perfect. Having at least 5 restaurants in the hotel was fantastic. The 3 Michelin star Le Cinq is modern french cuisine, L'Orangie has 2 Michelin stars specialized if fish dishes, and Le George hold one Michelin star focuses on Mediterranean cuisine with local sustainable sources, La Galllerie offers an all day dining and afternoon tea service perfect post shopping or post sightseeing. And of course Le Bar is a dimly lit bar lounge for the perfect boire!! If you want to venture outside the hotel, and dine elsewhere, the concierge team were very helpful in reservations at coveted restaurants. I especially like the fact that the hotel limits the general public crowd from entering the hotel property, where hotel guests have preferred priority access, as expected. Overall our great expectations for our hotel stay was met, whether or not you're royalty, the Hotel George V is beaucoup $$$$ but est Tres Fantastique et Magnifiqué!! Recommend

Wonderful meal and aesthetic dining room. Highly recommend. We had a large party and they were easy to communicate with in order to make the reservation and menu. The meal was over 3 hours though.

I cannot say enough out the level of excellence this hotel brings. From the moment you step into the lobby, to your departure; no detail is left behind. The flower displays alone are a must see; so delightful to the senses. Gorgeous rooms, perfect location, and outstanding service. A must stay when in Paris.

If I could give this place additional stars I would. We went to breakfast there this morning and had the best meal ever! The staff was incredible and the food selection was beyond anything you can imagine. Everyone welcomed us as if we were royalty and served us more food than we could possibly eat. The hot chocolate was like a melted Hershey bar and the omelet was enough for 4 people! The buffet had everything and I mean everything! Fresh fruits, smoked salmon, pastries galore, breads, cheeses etc. Little things made it so lovely... a small footstool for your handbags, etc. Hanging up your jackets ( at no additional charge!) Constantly checking to make sure everything was perfect. I look forward to coming back and dining here again. When in Paris make it a point to go even if you're not a guest of the hotel. Just arrive before 9 am and you are escorted to a beautifully decorated table. Bravo!!

One of the best if not maybe the best hotel in Paris. Really amazing staff, always good to be here. Gym is impeccable, rooms super clean and bright, staff very attentive. Food is spectacular and bar service is quite on track. Cocktails are delicious.

Stopped in for drinks & food at the bar. Bar opens at 5pm now. Fabulous setting & ambiance. My wife ordered a special martini, which she loved, and I ordered Jack & 7. We were given menus and selected the Croque Monsieur for each of us. The food was incredible as, of course was the service & presentation. We felt truly valued as guests even though were were not staying at the hotel. It's a pricey splurge for us but one we try to do every year. We are never disappointed.

The hotel is beautiful with fresh flowers everywhere. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice lunch downstairs, there was a bit of a lag but I'm not sure it was because it just opened and there was a formal wedding reception being staged outside. Regardless they were apologetic and offered to pay for our drinks. The second time we came downstairs was late, service was much quicker as we enjoyed some tea. I was ecstatic to find out they had matcha and milk alternatives - almond and soy. He told its normally listed on the breakfast menu as to why I didn't see it in the regular one. So if you're a matcha drinker - just ask and you shall receive :) If you're not staying in the four seasons it's definitely worth stopping by for lunch and enjoying another one of Paris's beauties ;)

This place is everything! I came for dinner and for the afternoon piano player and singer (to R&B music). Yes, you heard right, R&B music!!! How can Europe serve better service and entertainment (with our own music) than the US?!? The piano/musical singer starts at 8pm and ends at 12am on the dot (Thursday-Saturday). It's worth every minute! Call ahead a day in advance for seating or else you'll have to sit far in another room at the bar and bar seating is VERY limited with only seven seats; of course first come first serve. Decorations are to die for and service when compared to the US is beyond exceptional!!!

I had such a wonderful time at the grand opening of the updated Four Season's Spa! Facial time!!!! What a wonderful esthetician I had. The polynesian moisture facial is what my skin needed lots of moisture. They took me in and made an appointment right away and treated me like royalty. Two drawbacks are: 1. that this location does not have a private seating area in the women nor men's locker area for relaxation. So, I had to use my laptop in the lobby area (while sitting in my robe). The pool area is the only area that has a relaxation area. 2. With a facial you are not allowed to use pool. With a massage you get full access. *typically with spa services you are allowed full use of the spa area. Teas and flavored waters were sat out while I was waiting. There are no snacks (apples, fruits, dried fruits, nuts, etc.) for guests while waiting or relaxing. Again, this was the first day of the opening of the spa...so they haven't gotten all the kinks out yet. The CUTE outfits they attendants wore are so cute and the retail area has some good treats to purchase for facials, massage, hair, etc. I'll be back! The facial was THE BEST I've ever had and my skin felt wonderful and my body truly relaxed. Thank you Four Seasons!!!

I would not recommend this hotel to travelers who prefer modern decor. But what's lacking in decor, the hotel makes it up in their location, friendly customer service, comfy bed, and great patio over looking the Eiffel Tower. Yes, you have to pay extra to get rooms with Eiffel Tower view but we found it to be worth it. We enjoyed waking up to the view in the morning and admiring its glittering lights in the evening. The location of the hotel is unbeatable. It's literally a few minutes away from all the luxury shops, across the street from Cédric Grolet cafe (take-away only), and the famous Cafe Angelina. The Lourve was app. 15 min walk from the hotel. A few upgrades in the room would be recommended: coffee machine (vs calling for coffee or going down to the lobby), mini fridge that's not stocked so we can put our drinks, ice machine (although we would always get our ice on the double whenever we asked for it - kiddos!). I also think newer and updated furniture would also go a long way. We bought the room with the Eiffel Tower and we were lucky to be upgraded to the suite which was amazing! It has 3 small patio overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Seperate large bedroom and living room. The living room has an outdoor patio great for private sunbathing. Oh their bed....super comfortable with great pillows, not one of those that go flat once you put your head on them. I slept like a baby! The staff - everyone we talked to were friendly and helpful. It started with Nicholas who checked us in, the gentlemen at the entrance, the ladies who did great job in cleaning our room and Tonia who checked us out. Overall a great stay and we can't wait to come back.

Our room had a king bed and a couch that opened into a bed which made the accommodations for we needed. My favorite part was how I could open the glass doors from our room and let fresh air into the room. It was such a unique experience, and I loved listening to the city sounds while sitting by the window and reading. The hotel is centrally located as well so it was easy to get to the touristy areas as well as get to the train so we could visit some other parts of the city.

We arrived in Paris by train, traveling with my small boys and a big piece of luggage, and took the subway to Place de l'Opéra, a mildly arduous journey. We walked to the hotel and tried to check in, only to learn that the Park Hyatt would not accommodate us unless we upgraded to a much larger, much more expensive room (we'd neglected to mention the two children in our party when we booked). After much back-and-forth, my mom booked us a room at the Hyatt Madeleine, a more reasonable hotel that still gave us the benefits of her Hyatt status. It was supposedly a short walk from the Hyatt, but we spent a good twenty minutes schlepping across Paris with the children and luggage. (Very grateful to my saintly friend Ava B., who offered key support as a third adult in this unruly party.) Which is all to say, I loved this hotel the minute we walked in, reaching our destination an hour and a half after arriving in Paris. Check-in was smooth and pleasant, and we were welcomed with glasses of champagne, which we quite appreciated. There was a half-bottle of red wine waiting in our room, too, which we were happy to drink while packing to leave the next night. Our stay was brief, and we spent most of our precious time in Paris out and about. The hotel was an excellent home base, though, centrally located and very comfortable. It was less fancy than the Park Hyatt, of course, but the lobby was attractive and our room was spacious and clean. It had a king bed and a sofa bed, where my three-year-old refused to sleep, instead jumping around and harassing me and once, picking up the clean underwear I'd set out for the morning and putting it on over his pants. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we took advantage of this by going down to Café M and feeding my children chocolate croissants before leaving the premises each morning. They also got room service one night while my friend and I went out for a grown-up dinner at Brasserie Pastis, an outstanding nearby restaurant recommended by the concierge. I'm sure the Park Hyatt would've been nice, but I was impressed by the Hyatt Madeleine, both the accommodations and the hospitable service. I'll bet it was a better fit for our group, too, what with the wild three-year-old. A great place to stay during an active trip to Paris.

My family was able to enjoy breakfast every morning and it was delicious. I still think about their delicious, soft scrambled eggs and fresh apple juice. The location was nice and peaceful. The beds were super comfortable. They were able to accommodate my late checkout, which was great because we had a later train departure. I took a direct flight from Los Angeles, while she took a flight from Madrid. I was going to land in Paris several hours after her, so I called the hotel to see if they could let her into the room before I got there. The staff told me that normally they require the person booking the room to be there in person with their credit card. However, they were able to generate a link where I was able to pay for the entire stay + safety deposit ahead of time. I gladly did so, and they were happy to let my girlfriend into the room a good 6 hours before I got there. Once I pulled up to the hotel, I checked in at the front desk. The attendant helped me with my bag, and the front desk worker showed me to my room. My girlfriend had already enjoyed the bath tub and some drinks. We had some hours to relax, before we headed out to dinner and to sight see. While the restaurant that we reserved (outside the hotel) let us down, the restaurant in house (The Lobby) took care of us well. The hotel surprised us by driving us to the Eiffel Tower in their Rolls Royce, a complementary service. We took some great photos around the tower, and in other locations, before being driver back to the hotel. The room was very nice, had a comfy bed, plenty of space, a nice bathtub, and a clean and modern look. There was a small balcony area with two seats and a small table overlooking the beautiful architecture of the surrounding buildings. The only downside is that the A/C was not up to par, but that is the only complaint I have about this place. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us. The experience exceeded my expectations.
