Luxurious, elegant, yet the staff is down to earth. Walking in you see the gorgeous flower setup and from there the reception and concierge take care of you to the max. The concierge helped us get tickets to Crazy horse, Dior galleries, and many restaurants. Always felt the staff were attentive and friendly. LOVED our stay at this hotel! We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed everything about it. The service, the rooms, the dining, the bar, the location, the gym, everything. Service was top tier and incredibly accommodating. The breakfast was outstanding, lunch in the Galerie was chic and had great people watching and the bar had cozy/sexy vibes. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with great amenities and a dyson blow dryer. We did not use the spa but the gym was large and incredibly well equipped and while we didn't use the indoor pool, it is visible from the gym and looked great. Hotel George V is an Art Deco style hotel built in 1928 and later managed by the Four Seasons is conveniently located off of Champs-Élysées. With Eiffel Tower views and Michelin stars restaurants, it's focus on luxe, excellent service and exquisite style is palatial and majestic. It was the perfect storm of events; a trip to Paris for business and pleasure, attend the reopening of Notre Dame cathedral, stay at iconic George V...Oui! oui s'il te plaît merci!! My last trip to Paris was well over a decade ago where I stayed at Hotel Crillon, another luxe hotel. But my stay at Hotel George is perhaps the best experience by far. Every detail about our accommodation was perfect. Having at least 5 restaurants in the hotel was fantastic. The 3 Michelin star Le Cinq is modern french cuisine, L'Orangie has 2 Michelin stars specialized if fish dishes, and Le George hold one Michelin star focuses on Mediterranean cuisine with local sustainable sources, La Galllerie offers an all day dining and afternoon tea service perfect post shopping or post sightseeing. And of course Le Bar is a dimly lit bar lounge for the perfect boire!! If you want to venture outside the hotel, and dine elsewhere, the concierge team were very helpful in reservations at coveted restaurants. I especially like the fact that the hotel limits the general public crowd from entering the hotel property, where hotel guests have preferred priority access, as expected. We enjoyed our stay a lot. It was worth the high price. The room was impressive except for the view being a neighboring building. We spent little time in the room. The hotel is supposed to be one of the best in Paris and I believe it. It is a block off the Champs Elysees. The Restaurant was expensive but worth it. The bar was expensive and interesting. One time we were there while the U.S. was searching for Saddam Hussein. I thought I saw him in the hotel bar. It turns out I was wrong but it is a cosmopolitan place. If I could give this place additional stars I would. We went to breakfast there this morning and had the best meal ever! The staff was incredible and the food selection was beyond anything you can imagine. Everyone welcomed us as if we were royalty and served us more food than we could possibly eat. The hot chocolate was like a melted Hershey bar and the omelet was enough for 4 people! The buffet had everything and I mean everything! Fresh fruits, smoked salmon, pastries galore, breads, cheeses etc. Little things made it so lovely... a small footstool for your handbags, etc. Hanging up your jackets ( at no additional charge!) Constantly checking to make sure everything was perfect. I look forward to coming back and dining here again. When in Paris make it a point to go even if you're not a guest of the hotel. Just arrive before 9 am and you are escorted to a beautifully decorated table. Bravo!! read more

The ambience was amazing the staff could not be nicer, and the concierge went more than above, and beyond to make sure all of my 10 days went perfectly. I did not have time to plan the trip in advance before coming to the hotel and while I was there, they were able to help me with so many last-minute reservations, and really made sure that we comfortable and taking care of. Not to mention, this hotel is absolutely beautiful with the most amazing fresh flower arrangements as well . One of the best bars I've ever been to. We went during fashion week and had no reservation, but the hostess said if we would be willing to be in and out in 1 hour we could have the table. Stopped in for drinks & food at the bar. Bar opens at 5pm now. Fabulous setting & ambiance. My wife ordered a special martini, which she loved, and I ordered Jack & 7. We were given menus and selected the Croque Monsieur for each of us. The food was incredible as, of course was the service & presentation. We felt truly valued as guests even though were were not staying at the hotel. It's a pricey splurge for us but one we try to do every year. We are never disappointed. read more

The hotel is beautiful with fresh flowers everywhere. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a nice lunch downstairs, there was a bit of a lag but I'm not sure it was because it just opened and there was a formal wedding reception being staged outside. Regardless they were apologetic and offered to pay for our drinks. The second time we came downstairs was late, service was much quicker as we enjoyed some tea. I was ecstatic to find out they had matcha and milk alternatives - almond and soy. He told its normally listed on the breakfast menu as to why I didn't see it in the regular one. So if you're a matcha drinker - just ask and you shall receive :) If you're not staying in the four seasons it's definitely worth stopping by for lunch and enjoying another one of Paris's beauties ;) read more

This place is everything! I came for dinner and for the afternoon piano player and singer (to R&B music). Yes, you heard right, R&B music!!! How can Europe serve better service and entertainment (with our own music) than the US?!? The piano/musical singer starts at 8pm and ends at 12am on the dot (Thursday-Saturday). It's worth every minute! Call ahead a day in advance for seating or else you'll have to sit far in another room at the bar and bar seating is VERY limited with only seven seats; of course first come first serve. We just spent 5 days at the Plaza Athenee in a $5,000 a night room because their food was so bad and moved to the Four Seasons George V. Wow! This place is so much better in EVERY respect. The food is wonderful, the central rooms are more elegant, the $5,000 rooms are much bigger and nicer, it has two bathrooms, not one as at Plaza Athenee, it has a small kitchen [Athenee had none], it has more films on the TV, the TV menu is comprehensible to English speakers AND IT HAS A FABULOUS POOL, which Athenee lacks. I had such a wonderful time at the grand opening of the updated Four Season's Spa! Facial time!!!! What a wonderful esthetician I had. The polynesian moisture facial is what my skin needed lots of moisture. They took me in and made an appointment right away and treated me like royalty. Two drawbacks are: 1. that this location does not have a private seating area in the women nor men's locker area for relaxation. So, I had to use my laptop in the lobby area (while sitting in my robe). The pool area is the only area that has a relaxation area. 2. With a facial you are not allowed to use pool. With a massage you get full access. *typically with spa services you are allowed full use of the spa area. Teas and flavored waters were sat out while I was waiting. There are no snacks (apples, fruits, dried fruits, nuts, etc.) for guests while waiting or relaxing. Again, this was the first day of the opening of the spa...so they haven't gotten all the kinks out yet. The CUTE outfits they attendants wore are so cute and the retail area has some good treats to purchase for facials, massage, hair, etc. I'll be back! The facial was THE BEST I've ever had and my skin felt wonderful and my body truly relaxed. Thank you Four Seasons!!! read more

I don't know if it is possible to give less than 5 stars for this Parisian hotel. Incredible hotel architecture, quality service, delish restaurants and cocktails, incredibly comfortable beds, it was a home away from home. The room rates are pricey but it's well worth the money! There's a small lounge on the first floor that makes creative cocktails and offers upscale bar foods. It is recommended to request reservations for this lounge and surrounding restaurants. La Cinq is the restaurant (across from the lounge) crafting French, delicate dishes. The chef was gracious enough to step out towards closing time and speak with guests and take a picture with us. Front desk, housekeeping, and all other hotel staff were all courteous and friendly and assisted us with anything we needed. Cabs are called for you in the front, room service is 24/7, rooms are cleaned twice daily, and spa service is available on its own floor. There are luxury boutiques and breakfast buffets available all on the first floor, past the beautifully decorated lobby. The hotel is located near Champs de Elysee where you can eat and shop throughout the strip. The Louvre Museum and the Palace of Versailles are about 30 min away by taxi. The Eiffel Tower is about 5 min away by taxi. If you want to have a well relaxed stay, Four Seasons George is the renowned hotel to book! read more

Such a disappointment. Wish it was better as we're paying over $1K a night, but to be honest we would NEVER pay to stay here again. We have called a total or 5 (FIVE) times to get a very small ice bucket filled. Each time w're told 'right away' and each time nobody shows up. We left for a couple of hours and came back to no turn down service or new towels. Again we're paying over $1K a night for a room that is nowhere near a view of the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't sleep so slipped down to the bar and was told at 10:30 at night that they had to 'look for a reservation' for me? In the bar! We've stayed at The Bristol twice and for less money got much better service. We won't be staying at TFS Paris again. There are better luxury hotels in Paris with better service and are much less expensive. Hard pass. read more

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a week! This is a very special hotel located in the heart of Paris. What stood out more than anything else was the service at this hotel. The staff members went out of their way on multiple occasions to make sure we had the best honeymoon experience. Request a room with a terrace and a view of the Eiffel Tower if you can. It really gives you a more Parisian experience. We had our small dog with us and they brought him a bed, a carton of food and gave him a bottle of water every night for turn down. It was kind of adorable. They had a box of the most incredible chocolates in our room when we arrived as well as roses, and a bottle of champagne. Really made us feel special. We really enjoyed the lobby lounge. We had tea and the best hot chocolate ever a few times during our stay. They have a lovely pianist during the day and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays a jazz trio. The high tea looked really impressive. We ate at their three michelin star restaurant Le Cinq and it was a very elegant and memorable experience and deserves it's own review. The flowers in the lobby are quite a spectacle and some of the most famous in the world. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely place for lunch or dinner on a warm day. Let's be honest it's a Four Season's Hotel - they had me at the words "Four Seasons". I'm not uppity, but I'm a girl, and I love hotels with fine linen and feeling like I am being spoiled beyond belief. Because that is what vacations are all about, but vacations in Paris should be just pure opulence ( in my ever so humble opinion). Rooms are insane, but so are the prices. Service was top notch as it should be and their bar/lounge was beautiful, dark rich woods, good mixed cocktails. At the Le Galerie Lounge they have a fantastic afternoon tea. This place is, as other yelpers have suggested,- the creme de la creme! The flowers in the lobby are spectacular but at the prices for rooms,- let's face it,- that's "chump change"! The bar area is a bit cramped and notorious for fabulous-looking escorts from all sorts of countries: Swedish, Russian, Asian...(American,- not so much!) I prefer the "casual" dining area if you can call it that: a (Louis IV style) "living-room" of over-stuffed sofa's, generously spaced tables and a soft ambiance setting piano being played in the background. If you're after the ultimate European luxury experience, you're going to have to pay for it: tea was $30+ (depends on the Euro)! Dinner will set you back a (high-end) car payment! The highest dress standards are assumed for patrons since you never know what dignitary or celebrity you'll run into: Tom Hanks was there promoting "Charlie Wilson's War" when I was there a couple of years ago (see pic @ profile). read more

I made arrangements for a huge reception during the Paris Air Show and the attention to detail and service was incredible. All of the planning was done over the phone and I heard nothing but great reviews from my clients, the highlight? They saw Oprah in the lobby! The very first time I stayed at the George V, I remember snapping 100's of photos of the floral arrangements, in the lobby, the sitting rooms, on numerous tables...in our room. When I got home I got to work mimicking my own home arrangements so they were just as pretty. This gorgeous Paris hotel is centrally located and hands down has the absolute best service I've ever experienced. The decor is exquisite and tasteful - you can sit or stroll anywhere and enjoy some of the prettiest appointments around - polished, perfect and pristine. We enjoyed drinks at the bar too many times to count...the best part was listening to the bartender (or any staff member) share details of the hotels' history, it is rich. Can't say the George V is a bargain, you will pay a premium, but the service, the experience...the memories are worth the cost. If you aren't staying at the hotel, at least come in for tea, some delicious hot 'sipping' chocolate or a cocktail. A walk through the courtyard is quite lovely...as are meals there. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. We had an awesome stay on the tail end of our trip to France this past June. Everyone has said it, but I'll say it again. Staff is unbelievable, from the check-in, to the restaurant, room service, even the electricians (yeah we blew a a fuse), just incredibly nice and accommodating. The flowers are amazing. Huge colorful arrangements in the lobby. The restaurant just off the lobby has a tasteful waterfall with strings of purple orchids overhead and in the fountain. It was really lovely. Perfect location. Quiet street, yet close to the Champs Elysees and the Seine (went for an easy morning run over the Seine to the Eiffel Tower.) Our stay was amazing!!! They really do go above and beyond. The service was simply impeccable. We traveled with our toddler and the hotel truly was very accommodating for children. They gifted our son a plush animal upon arrival and our room was stocked with all his needs (crib, baby soap, shampoo, diapers and even a rubber duck). The hotel is so beautiful and the rooms were so spacious! They had peonies everywhere and it was gorgeous!! The spa was also so wonderful! We stay at Four Seasons all over the world but have never been treated so rudely in any four seasons as we were by the gentlemen host at the bar of the George V. Absolutely un four seasons like. We were staying next door and walked over for a drink and we're basically thrown out as we were not guests. There were two seats at the bar which would have been fine. Also plenty of tables. Having just come from the Four Seasons Milan that hotel was a true four seasons property, not this pretentious joke. Nice to know we don't have to bother staying here in the future read more

They make a point of remembering your name upon check in and pass the information along so that wherever you go they refer to you by name as if there was a sign above your head. Relatively small for a Four Seasons. Felt like a luxurious boutique hotel to me. 2 star Michelin restaurant Le Cinq is onsite. Great upscale shopping within walking distance. Located in the George V neighborhood very close to the Champs - Eysees and around the corner from the Plaza Athenee which I also like a great deal. The George V is classier and more elegant in my opinion. The Plaza Athenee hipper and sexier. Much more pricier than Four Seasons hotels in America or even other places throughout Europe. I guess since its Paris. I read somewhere that the wealthy Americans stay at the Four Seasons V (why they let me stay I have no idea), Actors, artists, and musicians stay at the Plaza Athenee, and dignitaries stay at the Hotel Crillon (probably because of the close proximity). The Four Seasons George V is my top choice. Saving up to go back there again. read more

I've stayed at Four Seasons all over the world and was shocked at the staff's rudeness. We were staying next door st the Prince de Gailles and swung in for a drink and an appetizer to check it out. When the bar is empty and staff tells you that you can't sit, it's an insult. I'm off the Four Seasons anywhere for good based upon these two bad interactions. read more
