FS1 great facility but poorly managed. They should have sold it when they had the chance. They blame the pandemic for loss of members but the other BN fitness centers survived. Management needs to look in the mirror. Do not waste your money here. read more

The hours are terrible. They open late Sunday morning and close early on weekends. Their holiday hours are not ideal for anyone but the staff. They certainly do not think about the customers when they set these hours during the holidays. It makes the place beyond crowded with such limited times to work out. The place is not clean. I have been a member for many years. The weekdays staff at the front desk M-Friday is great. The Sunday staff lacks customer service. Disappointed in how the CEO does not seem to care or make changes even though they take surveys, and the members have shared their dissatisfaction with the hours as noted in another review on here. I may be in the minority here, but I remember 4 Seasons much differently. I was back in town recently and went with my dad and my kids. First, the locker rooms. Quite honestly the worst use of space I've ever seen. I can't even imagine what that's like during the rush hours there. Most of the locker room consists of mirrors and chairs for getting ready, with hardly any room to get to your locker. You can't fit more than 2 adults at a time in one area with the lockers. Ridiculous. The showers are also tiny. I could not even fit into the shower with my 4 year old daughter. I can't even imagine someone who is obese trying to get in these showers. And I'm being serious when I say that. They would have to go into the Handicap shower. The track, the pool, the facilities: Track and basketball courts were as I remembered. The back area, there used to be 4 racquetball courts, now there are 2 and a really kick ass area with treadmills and other cardio equipment. This room is great! One star alone, just for that room. The pool was entirely over-chlorinated. But, the temp was good. And the hot tub was odd to me. A steel hot tub. It was hard to sit in there. But, I liked that kids could go in it with an adult. If I was a childless adult and wanted to relax though -- I would hate that part of it! All in all, it was just ok. But the locker rooms really need some serious overhauling. I recall that there were times workers at the club made me look really bad . At 1 point, 4 seasons told their members to not really record the number of times they went to certain class. The problem was the 4 seasons app that the Staff told us to download was weird. It said: to record and gave us a timed hour or minute. Example: if a class started at 11:00 am.. we could not start recording on phone the time that it said. It said:11:00 am- 12:30 pm. I recall that for those who did this would win a prize like free Personal training sessions with David Vale. Well due to the and it's unfit staff, I never got personal training sessions with him and even there were just creatures with evil hearts. Jennifer Ince, I recall has talked down to people numerous members that workout there. The staff is really mean toward members and there were just multiple complaints. Many had memberships there, good portion have left for good. I mentioned my concerns to the CEO and it appears he never did a thing to solve issues or complaints members had in regards to the staff. Members , I've seen wear inappropriate clothing showing stuff downstairs and let alone no lady can just wear sports bras n leggins. If you're that strict with dress codes at least be strict with staff. They have acted rather immature there's NEVER consequences or repercussions for their wrongful actions towards members! read more

Excellent gym. Free (fast) WiFi, very clean, locker rooms are fantastic. Childcare is fantastic. They are always upgrading something (so maybe a tiny bit annoying if something is closed for a bit ) but they always communicate that and it's always worth it Love this place!! read more

FS1 has been great to me and my family! I go at 5 and there are maybe 20 cars in the lot when I leave at 630 most are in the pool area. I feel like I pretty much have the gym and cardio rooms to myself. Due to CDC guidelines on social distancing cardio machines are every other one but that hasn't been an issue. My wife goes later in the morning and she has no problems getting in or out. We use child care, and although it can be a pain logging in and out of our children's accounts to schedule times during COVID. The child care has been top notch! My family and I appreciate all the front desk staff and cleaning staff do! read more

this place is pure magic! I joined a few months ago and love how they have decorated the place...its sort of like a mixture of post modern urban decay with a touch of unfinished renovations like unpainted sheet rock walls and yet to be completed drop down ceilings. the weight room really gets you nice and claustrophobic and the decor is lovely if you like low ceilings and basement mold. i waited 3 months for an ID card and never got one...seems this fabled machine is always broken. i love the creepy lounge area with 50 year old salvation army furniture outside of the pool and the way they have like 10 basketball courts but not really anything else in the massive gymnasium section. if you live and breath basketball or love depressing exercise rooms with no windows and machines crammed into small spaces then you will love this place. I dont know what they renovated aside from the front entrance...I would honestly take a wrecking ball to this horribly forlorn establishment. I expected better for the high prices but you can tell that they just dont care about new customers or offering an elite gym experience.... for half the price I can find another place that has daylight streaming in to brighten my mood and maybe even a protein smoothie bar after my workout...dark and musty environments just dont do it for me I guess... read more

There are a multitude of workout gym options in Bloomington. I've tried Gold's Gym and the other Four Seasons location (referred to as FSII by the addicts) and the gym at IWU. Yes I get a corporate discount so I can only comment mildly at the cost of my membership. But here is what I love and what I hate. Despite the things I think they could do to improve, I'm still very very happy with my gym! South Veterans Location Pros: - Do you like to shower and get ready at the gym? the water pressure is FANTASTIC! This girl has long hair and water pressure is a must. Plus there are two very large areas to do your hair and makeup, big plus. - Track, Treadmill, Stationary Bike, Stairmaster and Elliptical options. All have TVs to distract you! (except for the track of course) - Two pools and hot tub "Can I get a hot tub?!" - Recently redesigned weight area in basement. Brighter, lighter and newer equipment. - The 5am crowd is awesome, love you guys! - Big towels so you don't have to bring your own and hair dryers you can borrow too! - Wicked close to my job! South Veterans Location Cons: - No smoothie bar like the one in North Normal :-( - Not as many class options as FSII - Parking is kind of a drag since the lot is so small. Do NOT park in the lot next store, they will tow you! Instead you need to walk from the other lot farther away. You're working out so it shouldn't be a big deal right? It isn't unless its the middle of winter***** - Can't reserve/rent a locker! Since I go there every morning, it would be nice not to have to lug the essentials I use every morning and weigh me down. If I had a locker I could ride the motorcycle in the morning! Overall Four Seasons Comments -Awesome hours. It's almost never closed even around holidays. -Up to date equipment at BOTH locations -Between both gyms there are basketball courts, raquetball courts, volleyball courts, a track and two pools. -Childcare. It's great. Learn open pool times...large locker rooms, .it's fairly clean (I may be o.c.d.). . Friendly staff. Affordable. And a great pool. Track is a congested area, basketball in the middle is distracting watch out for random b. Balls. But, this gym works for us. We adapted and quite frankly we like it there. I've been a member numerous times. I keep going back because I get a good price but other than that... there aren't many great things to say about this place: Cons: It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get a lane to swim in. They have swim meets that manipulate the entire lane pool and the other, bigger pool is usually packed with kids. I've almost never had the chance to get into the hot tub because it's filled with kids or teenagers. The locker rooms are not up to date, and seem dingy. I feel like I need to take a shower AFTER I shower at the gym. Most importantly is the quality of my workout. I really hate waiting for machines. I just want to jump on a treadmill and go home. I don't want to have to worry about whether it's too busy to work out. Or worse yet... settle for a bike. I'm glad that enlarged that particular area but it's still too small. Need more machines and more space. Parking is a disaster. No, I don't mind walking from the distance lot but I have to jump over a 3 foot wall that's covered in snow and ice in the winter. Staff at the front is always more interested in chatting to each other than helping you. If you cancel your membership you have to wait a full year before signing up again or else you have to pay the prorated time from when you left. Pros: Great karate classes (extra money, but well worth it) Zumba and water aerobic classes are fun too Four Seasons II is better in space but I still have to wait for a machine and they constantly have fox news on the big tv's. Again, classes are lots of fun and the insutrctiors are great but hate that I have to get there 20 minutes early just to get a pass to the class (or else they fill up quick). Working out can be a chore as it is... I don't want a the gym to make it harder on me. read more

This place is a joke. Parking at Four Seasons 1 is a joke. The life guards are a joke and the locker rooms are often filled with kids running rampant. The pools are sometimes crowded because the lane pool shut down for practice or swim meets. I was in an accident and could not go for about 3 months and I had to pay either 50 a month for nothing to keep my membership, or cancel for a year. It is a terrible policy that loses them customers. A dead give away that a place is a joke is when they have a policy like that. The management at this place sucks. The only advantage is that when it is not summer, they have one of the only pools in town. All in all, it would be worth it to drive a little further to have a month to month membership with respectful professional employees. I suspect Four Seasons gets away with this because they are about the only game in town if you are looking for a pool. I sure hope someone gives them some competition one day. read more

For this area, it's okay. Very cheap prices and a lot of classes to offer. Free childcare is a bonus, too. Customer service is hit or miss, but it is a small metropolis where that isn't a huge concern for most people around here. In a big city, they would have to take better care of customers or they would be out of business. Since it is one of few indoor pools and near where we lived while in town, we stayed...if there were more options, we would not have. read more

One of the frustrating things about 4 Seasons is they close their pool even if there is no rain or storms in our city or nearby or in the path of our city. All it takes is if any storms are on the radar in Central Illinois. Example: Tonight they closed the pool at 5:00 p.m. at 9:00 p.m. there still hasn't been any rain let alone storms. read more

Weights are in the basement with no windows and a low ceiling. Parking is the pits. That said, the staff is really nice, and there is always a treadmill available. I've been a member for years because its inexpensive and it has what I need. Pool, Weights, Treadmill. Kids take swim lessons and love their teachers. There's childcare if you need it, but not open all hours. read more

Four seasons one is small, like really small. I Have seen bigger cardio areas in some peoples homes. Pools are ok as far as indoor pools go but, unless your younger then 12, good luck. If your 14 years old and like to stand on a basketball court. This place is for you. Even after the remodel I really question why they keep dumping money in to this building. Parking does suck, no way around it. If you work at State Farm location is great. Still might be better off leaving your car and walking the 3 blocks. Now I do like FS2. Just no pool and or basketball courts. Equipment does look old but that could be because they get used a lot. I think LA Fitness will give them a run for their money because now they really have to compete for the east siders. Time will tell. read more

I grew up going here and I loved it. I just got back from serving in the marines and wanted to join up again. Found out they have discounts for state farm workers but nothing for military or veterans. I still joined even though it was very expensive. They have changed the layout of the entrance and locker rooms. Terrible idea. Smallest locker rooms around. Narrow benches and lockers. Can't get dressed with out bumping into other people. Could maybe get a max of 15 people in there at a time. More than that, you are out of luck. If you use the urinals, people in the hall way can watch you if someone opens the door to leave the locker room. Pretty awkward. Showers are tiny. If you have a kid, they would have to go in another shower alone. Hardly any parking. There is only two single person restrooms near the weight room. one of them can not lock and the other has a lighting issue that burns the lightbulbs out every other day. So that means everyone has to use the restroom in the locker room on the other side of the building. Knowing how many people go and that there is only 3 working toilets for men, I'm not sure if that is up to code or not. My father has asked them to fix the two extra bathrooms more than 2 months ago! Nothing has been done. And than if you use the urinal and/or toilet next to the far wall in the locker room u might get trapped by the baby changing station that folds down from the wall. I hope that parents don't bring a baby bag because if the do they will be setting the bag in pee most likely because of the baby changing station being so close to the urinals.
