John handled communication…read morewith my insurance company on my behalf and went above and beyond by sourcing flooring samples when my existing flooring was no longer available. As a busy professional, this saved me a great deal of time and stress. The crew was polite, clean, and efficient, and the work was completed professionally. Highly recommended.

I don't write reviews often, but when I do it's because the community needs to know, John @ SELECT…read moreis the man when it comes to insurance claims, emergency services and doing good! It was Christmas Day morning we discovered a slow leak in our basement. I called a handful of companies I found on Google, John's team was the only team to call me back the same afternoon and immediately offered me free advice on what to do myself. He didn't need to come same day, so we booked for next day. He arrived himself with all his tools to check for water and mould. For the last two months, he's been the only person who cares and has been following the details, everything from the emergency work to the things insurance missed in their own estimate of our house. He's one of those guys who works for the big insurance companies, they know him, his reputation and his estimates are realistic. He was able to get what we needed to restore the damage from the flood. No disputes, super smooth, I'm super happy. If it wasn't because of him I wouldn't have noticed the low estimate our insurance company offered at first. If you're reading this and are looking for someone help you with emergency work and restoration with an insurance claim, talk to John, he'll ensure you're doing things by the book, in the right order. There's a lot of scammers out there taking shortcuts and taking advantage of customers in an emergency situation, becareful. John knows a lot about water damage, mould and how to restore things to how they were and he takes care of all the paper work, without any addition fees. He's a do-gooder. Thank you John for everything you did for us in our new house and the new floors that needed replacing from water damage. Bless ya!

Let me just start by when you hire a "general contractor", there is a good chance that the final…read moreproduct is going to be "general". I deal with those guys about 5 years ago for a major renovation of my bathroom and it was basically a nightmare. When the guy came to my place for a estimate, he told me that the project would be completed in 3 months top, well 15 months later, it was completed (they had to redo the shower flooring 3 times because they "forgot" to put "slopping on the floor" so the water can reach the drain; on multiple times, they order the wrong parts causing multiple delay. On the third time when they "fix" the shower floor, I told the contractor to come back and fix the floor (completely) not only half of the flooring (because it was not fixing the problem) and I also mentioned to the contractor that the sub-contractor that was assign to me, well I do not wanted to see him again in me residence because he had no clue about what he was doing. Even the new contractor who fix the problems mentioned to me: who is the clown who did that work before? So to make a long story short: before hirering that company, think twice .

I had these guys come over to quote me on a workshop that measured 25X30 feet. The fellow who came…read moreover told me they are very busy right now, but that he would get me a quote in a few days. The quote was ONLY FOR FRAMING. as in, they had to build the stud walls, and put up the trusses. I had already paid for the trusses, so this quote is just for the LABOUR to bang together four walls and put up the trusses that were pre-made and paid for. They came back with a quote for $60,000. Yep...you read that right. SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS for two days work that doesn't require anything more difficult than knowing how to swing a hammer. If you ever deal with one of these companies, your first warning should be when they tell you how busy they are; it is code for, "So we can gouge the crap out of you".....just because we can. You are better off doing any of this type of work yourself. Just get a couple of guys who can read a tape measure, bang a nail in, and have a BBQ with a case of beer. You'll get just as good of a job, and you don't have to worry about being ripped off.
